This ball was hyped as a hooker but in the end its a mild usable unoverreactive monster. If your looking for super hook buy another ball if your looking for killer roll and consistency buy this one. I drilled this one almost over the label and where I come from the 3rd game gets kinda dry so everyone wat shocked to see a guy who hooks the ball throwing this thing in the 3rd game. Wow that a ball. Even from the time it comes out of the roll all the way throught he pocket. Just what we have beeen asking for a try roll and not giving up the hit thanks columbia.

This ball is remarkable. I have never seen a ball that hits harder than the Icon. It has a great arc to the pocket and is very consistant. The first night I bowled with it on Medium - Dry lanes and I rolled a 645 on synthetic lanes. The ball destroys the pocket. It will stone the 9 pin more than the 10 but that doesn't really bother me. It has great versatility I have used it on oily wood lanes and dry synthetic lanes and it still hits the pocket with the same intensity. If you are looking for a ball for all lane conditions this is the ball.

unbeleivable power on this ball. i throw a dud until i picked up this ball. usually i leave a bunch of ten pins amd maybe an 8-10 or a 5-7 from time to time but this ball i leave 9 pins and a 4-9 from time to time. if you dont throw too much hook this is the best hardest hitting ball ever. i havent tried it on drier lanes yet it will probably over react dont think i will try want to keep it low mileage. this equipment these days is too expensive to put on 200 games on a ball just for fun<sc

First time out with the ball I was blowing the pins away .. thought about trying to hustle everyone in the alley. Next time out I couldn't strike with the ball through 3 league games and 10 practice games. Considered dumping the ball in one of the nearby lakes. Rested up and took the ball to another league. The ball rolled FANTASTIC! If I were a better bowler my 655 would have been well into the 700's .. missed a couple of spares that were pushovers .. ball blows the pins away. This past weekend I had a 13 yearold guy on the alley who couldn't hit 100. I let him throw my ICON and believe it or not he was throwing strikes. You have to try this ball to believe it. GREAT BALL

Go buy it, however possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and then email me to thank me and when you start winning all of the jackpots send me some comission. mcpotbean@aol.com " target="_blank">mcpotbean@aol.com </a> If there was a sutch thing as a super ball then this is it, I put alot of speed and turn on the ball and it draws much attention from spectators who can't help but hear the ball crush pins and stop to watch me throw it again. Trust me on this ball for the price you will not find another ball that hits like this one, it is in a league of its own. email your results to me at mcpotbean@aol.com. Thanks

I had the ball drilled for leverage, seems to work quite well. Has the problem of flattening out in reaction, but i think that's due to the way i release the ball. Dry lanes or oily lanes doesn't seem to make much difference, overall reaction predictable and consistent. The versatility of the ball has allowed me to play just about anywhere i choose. So far it seems to be a low maintenance ball, have bowled a little over 100 games with it since i bought it, haven't had to do a thing to it, reaction has remained consistent.

This ball will hit very hard when thrown correctly. It's very forgiving if you miss outside your mark, but if you tug it, tis ball will take off on ya. The ball rolls good with any finish, but rolls best for me with the out of box finish. this ball can also go very straight to hit pins on the right side, or hook the lane to make them on the left. On any type of lane, synthetic or wood, rolls great on normal house shot to heavy oil. Haven't thrown on sport, but heavy oil is no problem when sanded.

Update 8-16-02: I’ve had my original Icon for a couple of weeks, and I decided to get another one. The original one was drilled with the pin and CG stacked just barely to the right of the ring finger. I threw it for about a dozen or so games with the original factory shine, and liked the reaction – BUT – it wasn’t a big enough difference with my Spirit in the three houses I used it to warrant carrying both in the same bag. Sooo – I cut down some of the shine using my can of turtle-wax rubbing compound. I prefer the reaction with this slightly-dulled finish. It still gets through the heads OK but has a touch more bite in the back. I could break out the sandpaper and turn it into a premier “oil-ball”, but I already have a couple of Reaction Arcs, so I don’t need to fill that niche. The new ICON was an experiment. I love my Faball Berry Razor, and I’ve been wanting to find a PBA legal replacement – something to go real long but still have some serious hit at the pins. I think the
