Let the Sport League begin! Get a jump on the field with our Sport Ball. The ball you need to shine in the new Sport Condition. When more oil is applied on the outside boards to reduce your entry angle, the Sport Ball doesn't flinch. The coverstock, a variation on our TEC particle shell, lets you play more on the outside, increasing your entry angle. With zero effort, you'll clear the front part of the lane and power in with a smooth, arcing backend. Attack!

Introducing the new Sport Ball™ for the new Sport League.
If you're competing on the new Sport Condition, you need the new Sport Ball. Designed specifically for the Sport Condition, the Sport Ball performs better where more oil has been applied on the outside boards reducing your entry angle. With the Sport Ball, you can easily clear the front part of the lane while producing a smooth, arcing backend reaction. Additionally, the coverstock is a modified version of our proven TEC™ particle shell which allows you to play further outside the lane, thereby increasing your entry angle. In short, you increase your control, performance and power. With the new Sport Ball, you can bring your "A" game to the Sport Condition.

One of my favorite balls of all time, but it is not quite perfect because I always seem to leave a ten pin on what would be strike number twelve. I absolutely love how this ball rolls. The most contolable ball I have ever thrown. The even rolling arc, and easy reading breakpoint gives the bowler a large amount of area. Also, have had no problem adjusing the surface of the ball. I have had the ball dull for oily lanes and polished for medium and the ball reads great either way. This was also not a very expensive ball when it came out.

I like this ball, but I don't think the reaction is what Columbia had in mind when they designed it. I remember when the original Red Pulse came out and columbia said that it was a hook monster with the powerful superflex coverstock. It turned out that the Pulse was a Great ball, but not because it was a hook monster (which it wasn't) but because it was very predictable, smooth rolling and even arcing. The same about this ball. It is called a Sport ball designed for the Sport shot, but I find that the Core dosn't act like a Sport shot core should. The ball is very flippy and strong on the backend. On the Sport shot, where accuracy is the key to scoring, I think you would want a ball with less jerk on the backend (I think that Columbia realized this also because they have put the sport ball core into the Icon 2 and the Wicked B/R/T). In summary, I like this ball for what it is, which is a mild Particle ball with a strong backend. For anyone who likes the Icon 2, but would like it to b

I had this ball drilled to go about 40 ft and hook. On the sport shot this layout works perfectly for me and for this ball. It does not overreact to the conditions and you almost never have to worry about a washout or 2-10. If you try to play on heavy oil you better throw with tons of revs. But if you have normal revs and playing on the sport shot condition, this ball is the most consistent you can buy. It also doesn't leave as many 10 pins as I thought it would. I'll probably get another one to go longer for when the oil pattern dictates.

I bought this ball to be the middle ball in my arsenal between my Icon-2 and my messenger and it fits this spot nicely. I had it drilled very conservatively. Very easy to control, moves the the heads well (I use the ball mostly when my Icon-2 starts to hook to soon and on on broken down heads) and hits hard. I don't try and throw this ball on lots of oil and have not had a condition too dry for it yet. This ball completly fills the need that I purchased it to fill and I would recommend it to any one witha similar slot to fill in their arsenal.

I liked the ball because it is overall ,very versitile on the lanes , made for playing on the sport shot , which is not an easy shot to play the pro's use to use it on tour then changed to the new pattern shots .The reverse block is difficult also . so if you have a difficult shot this would be a good ball for you.The bwtc would be a good place to try out this ball out .Usually you would use a stronger hooking ball on really oily lane .Good luck and good bowling, hope my review helps you out , but the best was the price good ball for the money.

For those of us who have several balls, and needs a description. Check this out.. Most balls skid, or trac very hard going down the lane, and then flips without any control.. This ball is a very controlled ball, and rolls the entire lane at the same speed, and then kills the pins.. I believe each person should have a weapon like this because sometimes your balls really do to much, or not enough.. This will elimate that problem, and still will hit hard.. Most important fact about this ball.. ITS NOT GETTING PIN DAMAGE LIKE MOST BALLS., and that means it will last allot longer.... I THINK WE HAVE WINNER WITH THIS ONE.. Update, and allot games I would like to take the time and congradulate Columbia with coming up with a ball that is very controlable, and doesn't jump across the lanes like most.. This ball will work on any lane condition, and as long as you have oil up front. It will work.. I GIVE IT MY STAMP OF APPROVAL..<

Been wanting to get a ball that would just give me the skid/snap reaction I needed for my game. After asking around I came across the SPORT BALL. Bought one since it came out highly recommended by friends and had it drilled with the pin just below the ring finger. I average about 145 to 168 but this ball had me scoring 178 to 203 the whole night. Man, this ball is too much. Can be very forgiving even when I miss my mark by a couple of boards. I highly recommend this even for first timers looking for a predictable and powerful ball.<

VERY GOOD BALL ESPECIALLY FOR THE SPECIALTY STYLE CONDITION, THE SPORT CONDITION, ALBIET THE INTENDED NAME. THE BALL GETS DOWN THE LANE AND WILL HOOK IF GIVEN A CHANCE TO WITH OUT AN AXIS OR STACKED LEVERAGE DRILLING WHICH MAKES IT VERSATILE. WHEN IT HOOKS IT WILL NOT STOP AND ROLL OUT AND THIS IS A GOOD THING FOR POWER PLAYERS WHO HAVE NO BALL SPEED. FOR PLAYERS WHO HAVE BALL SPEED, FIND A DRY BOARD OR PLAY UP THE BOARD IN A TIGHT LINE WHEN THERES PUDDLES OF OIL. IF THE BACK ENDS ARE FLYING PLAY WHERE YOU HAVE FORGIVENESS BECUASE WHEN THIS BALL HOOKS, IT WONT STOP
