In a word....Wow! Enough said when you experience the performance of the newest and strongest addition to the Flipside family. You'll find the Wow! will take quite a liking to heavy oil and has plenty left for an aggressive Flipside reaction on the backend. It all starts with the new UFO particle, which produces Ultimate Friction in Oil - particle technology that's truly out of this world. Combine this with a medium RG core that creates 4-5" of track flare, and you can leave your spare ball in the bag. The Wow! It'll make your hair stand up and pins fall down.

The WOW is a very amazing hooking machine and leaves few ten pins standing.I think most bowlers can use the WOW on fresh conditons, and heavy oiled lanes. The WOW hates dryer lanes and I can't use it as a spare ball most of the time .I use a more mellow ball for most spares any way. The Wow is a super ball to use for inside lines to the pocket. I would need more speed for outside lines, because this ball is one of the most aggressive balls I ever used! I recommend the WOW for Anyone who needs a ball for oily lanes. The ball rev's up quite well for higher rpm's for your game.

I got the Wow used from a pro shop owner, it only had 10 games on it. Anyways, i kept the same drilling pattern that looks like this: O O ........P .......CG ...O Its pretty much nothing but a pure side weight drill with a 1-2 inch pin. No balance hole. I havent thrown the ball that much, but it doesnt seem to be the heavy oil buster everyone claims it to be, but like i said, it might be the drilling doesnt do much for me, or maybe it will take time to get used to it. It flips pretty hard, and has good length due to the fact that this ball has a medium RG. It flares pretty hard..(I cant remember the rg diff. on this ball) but im guessing thats somewhere in the medium area also.

I got this ball at the beginning of the '02 bowling season, when I wuz a hothead averaging a much-inflated 190-something. Today, I can confidently contest to averaging a solid 210 on a househot, and I've lost (most of) the arrogancy that plagued my game. I got it from a pro shop, so I'm assuming the pin was 3-4" out with a top weight of 2.5-3.0 lb. Out of the box, this ball hooked a ton on medium-dry, synthetic lanes . . . itz backend wuz nearly uncontrollable. A few boards left, and you're goin' right through the nose, lookin' at a potential 4-7-10 or sumthin'. A few boards right, and you can bet on washing out. So after 3 or so framez of shenaniganz, I got it polished, and the ball wuz near flawless. Controllable backend reaction coupled with an early enough roll in the oil. On a fresh shot, this is my most versatile, ball, and on ANY shot, it is the hardest hitting. Duzn't handle carrydown very well; you'll NEED a weaker ball for 10 pins and an aggressive resin ball to comp

I love this ball. I have mine drilled 3 1/8 x 2 7/8. The ball is a monster on oily lanes. It starts up early in the heads, but not too early. It grabs enough to let you feel comfortable in sending it on oily lanes but not too much to burn out early. The transition at the breakpoint is to a strong arc/roll which to me resembles the reaction arc. It hits very hard and explodes the pins. I am sure that the ball will suffer from Particle death ( it seems that all particle balls die out after 100 games or so) but that is expected with these type of balls. I use mine for tournaments only. When they flood the first shift and people are forced to move right, I pull out the Wow! and play my preferred line. Overall a great ball.

Since getting this ball I have raised my average yet again. This ball does well straight out of the box. Does need some up keep but if you are into bowling you should take care of all your stuff. Especially when the items price runs as much as they do now. But like I was saying, this ball cuts through the heavy oil just like I want. That was the primary reason for buying it. The ball runs smooth down the lane and just comes back no matter what. The house I am at has more oil than most and this ball allows me to play a deep inside shot that I am most comfortable with. You got to get it.

The ball hits great, i have never actually left anything in the pocket with this ball. In case this seems weird to you, it's not my ball. I borrowed a friends wow and shot my last two games with it (268, 300). I never had the ball flip on me, but the way i bowl it's not exactly a bad thing. I'm a high rev bowler and I never thought of buying such a ball. After shooting these games with a wow it makes me want to go out and get my own. I don't really agree with the ball comming dull. But thats personal preference.

Well What I can I say>>> I went into the House here at Kunsan Air Base South Korea and the guys said hey "Park: dont even bother bowling tonight because the maintenance guy oiled the lanes 43 feet down and saturated the lanes. You see this place does not have a house shot. The lane conditions are so inconsistant its not funny. The only consistant thing is that they oil long and heavy. Well I just had to roll my new ball. Im a stroker I guess and dont have many Revs. So The first ball I tried rolling down the 15 board and it did nothing but slide through the puddles of oil that they had laid down. The second ball I went outside right up the 5 board and that was my spot for the night. WOW!!!!....213 the very first game out of the box. The next game was a 183 and the third was not that impressive as I rolled a 178. I had alot of ringing 10 pins and couldnt pick that sucker up. But anyway I loved the way this ball fliped and transitioned into the roll "SMOOTH" and controlable. The flare w

In my experience, this ball has turned me into a better player right away within my first three games. I play just for fun but this ball makes it a great experience. I used to play with a Piranah/C, i bought it used and never had it drilled for my hand, i used to throw an average of 165 when i used to play a lot back 4 years ago, i was making no more than 140 recently and was frustrated. Yesterday i averaged 170 and got a confidence on my shot i had never felt before. I think i`ll soon be making 220 or something close.

This ball works the best in medium-Heavy oil. It goes right through the oil. This ball has a lot of hook. When it hits the pocket just sit down because this ball hits hard and creates a lot of pin action. The one thing that you need is oil, if you do not have oil then just use another ball because it will hook right past the pocket. In my opinion though this ball is very good and was just the ball that I was looking for. This ball has really improve my game, it cause my average to go up.<s

This ball is simply the perfect ball to start your league night with. It will make everyone in your league say wow once they see the way this ball rolls. Your comrades will drool over this ball because its just that good. Even though it does say it's good for carry down i have the tendency to disagree but it still works well in carry down. Their is no reason not to purchase this ball especially because of the price so all those penny pinchers won't have any problems. You will definitaly get more bang for your buck with this ball. Caution may hook to much out of the box.

I went to practice with ball the day after I bought it....first I went toa house that has only had two 300 games in its entire history. Yes the shot is that ugly. If you shot a 230 at this house you would jackpot. Well out of the box I throw a 279, a 269, and a 289. This bowl makes the pins jump out of the way. after total of 12 games I only got tapped once. I recommend this ball for the bowler who is trying to boost his or her average. Oh by the way my average is a 194 and after buying this ball it is going up!

After polishing mine to 2000 grit to keep it on the lane ,my house shot is med to light so it made it eaiser to throw it at my normal speed. Tried something new had the axis tilt moved to 65 degree's , strong arcing ball rolls consistant through the pocket and keeps on driving.Keeps the pins low on the deck to help to carry alot more mixers, noticed that i had to throw it out to the outiside or the ball would take a strong left turn and go through the nose if the speed was slow. I average around 13 mph on the lane ,so being consistant with the speed was important. Great ball at a great price.Cant wait til the pearl wow comes out in April<scri

I HAD QUIT BOWLING ABOUT 7 YEARS AGO. THIS IS THE FIRST BALL I HAVE PURCHASED SINCE STARTING UP AGAIN LAST WEEK. I LOVE IT. MY DAD OWNED A PRO SHOP SO I HAD JUST ABOUT EVERY BALL YOU COULD THINK OF BACK THEN. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST ALL ROUND BALL I HAVE EVER USED. VERY SMOOTH ROLLING AND MASSIVE PIN ACTION IN THE POCKET ARE ITS BEST QUALITIES. IT IS ALSO EXTREEMLY FORGIVING IF YOU THROW IT OUT A LITTLE TOO FAR OR PULL IT A LITTLE TO MUCH. THE HOOK IS VERY SMOOTH AND NOT SNAPPY OR JERKY. THIS BALL SHOULD BE IN EVERYONES BAG.

I really love this ball, i recently bought it and i have shot 3, 700's with it. I only average about a 190 normally and this ball as helped out with the average going up. I bowl in a house that has about an 8-8 house shot but the lanes are absolutly flooded. The ball really doesnt like carry down from what i have seen out of it. I can really only use the ball about a game and 2 frames before i have to put it away because the lanes carry down so fast. I really think this is an excellant ball for being not as expensive as some of these high performance balls and yet still have some balls(no pun intended).

ball is amazing , i would recomend it to anyone who is looking to get through the oil, or just plain score.columbia has come out with an awsome ball in this one,you can play inside, you can play outside, any kind of oil pattern will not defeat this ball.I know they will but it i think they will have a hard time topping this ball, my wife has had the ball 4 weeks, she has had 3, 600's , 3 580 series, and a few small 500 series, it has helped her tremendously.i would like to thank columbia for producing such a rgeat ball.

This ball is unbelievable. I stand center dot throw from 10 to the end of the lane and this ball is great. It hooks with an unbelievably strong backend reaction. It holds (most of the time) if I throw inside and covers if i throw outside. This ball has brought my average from around 180 to 190-200. The only thing I don't like is that when i slow it down it comes high(but any ball is like that). But it makes up for this by when i throw the ball harder it still comes back.THIS IS JUST A GREAT BALL. THANKS A LOT COLUMBIA AND I HOPE YOU ADD TO THE GREAT FLIPSIDE LINE OF BOWLING BALLS.

I just love this ball and I only bowled 2 series. I started at the 24 board throwing to the 10 board. The ball went out, grabbed the lanes and hit the pocket like a ton of bricks. Just amazing. I had to pick up speed the last half of the 3rd game but I expected that. During both series of 630 & 678 I only left 2 ten pins. This ball is a keeper. I have been a Columbia fan during all 27 years of bowling. The WoW will be my primary ball, a Ricochet as my second ball that I need to go longer and I have a Columbia Spirit as my third

I posted a review on this ball last week, I dont know what happened to it. This ball is the same as the last two Columbias, might hook 1 board more, i should have saved the money and moved my feet 1 board right, i would have felt ALOT better, I dont buy a ball for the newness, I buy it to get another reaction in my arsenal, I feel like the Big C is doing the same thing as some companies did in the past, change colors - call it something different and we are dumb enough to believe it

Had I reviewed this ball after first getting it, the review would not have been very good. However, after some additional work on the coverstock and some additional thinking about the ball and some additional work with it, I now think that this may well be THE oil ball. 1. This is the most aggressive coverstock I have seen -- and I have tried the most aggressive out there. Even on medium-heavy fresh oil, the ball rolled out. Yep, rolled out. It wants so much to hook and roll, it is just unbelievable. So, what did we do? We polished it up, just about as far as we could get it - about 2500. Suddenly, it retains energy and everything changes. This ball is an early roller and unless highly polished, a very early mover. For those reasons, it should be used ONLY on heavy oil or HIGHLY polished on mediums with carrydown. 2. This ball does not "snap". It arcs. It also wants to move consistently. For these reasons, this is a VERY controllable ball. If there is oil, it is

Well this ball tells the tale in its name. I throw the ball at 16 to 17 mph wih alot of revs and this ball is great. I threw the ball and l.oved it this ball is keeper its very controlling and versatile.Sometimes this ball can be hard to control on some lane condiontions but thats when the icon comes in handy.See I am only a med hi rev bowler so the ball rwally works for me so i think this ball is great and that most average bowlers should buy this ball very excellent ball from columbia and they need to keep up the good work.

Good ball for oil, obviously put it back in the bag for anything else. It tends to leave a nine more than a ten pin, but I'd rather see a nine than a ten standing. As long as it carries the corners (which it does in dramatic proportion), I'm happy with this ball. I will only use this ball at my house enough just to get used to it, then it's going to be saved for tournament play only. I don't want the one hundred twenty dollars I spent to be burned out and wasted on an easy house shot that I could use a different ball for.
