My messenger is a X blem. Pin 1" from CG. I drilled this up axis weight with the CG on my axis and the pin on my PAL. I throw the ball about 15 mph, about 350 revs, tweener type style. Basically I am wanting to use the cover to get me thru the heads and the axis to get me a true roll/read on the mids and backends. I use this ball A LOT, and really a lot more than I want to but I have not found a good replacement. The H20 I recetly bought tracked out fast. I find that I can usually play a burnt up track area with this ball and not get an over reaction off the mids or backends. Not too good from inside about 18 board as it does not really "recover". Best from 0-15 where I need just a little flip. Not good for trying to SWING the ball a lot. 3-5 boards is about the max for me as it wont recover otherwise.

Its a pretty good ball that sends messengers all over the place, hits harder then anything i have, just has problems when any dry shows up. Can play the whole lane with it with ease. Alot of people say this ball doesnt hook, but I don't know what they are talking about, this is by far the biggest hooking ball in my bag and i got some hookin stuff like an icon, wicked b/r/t, raging inferno, red fuze. My suggestion is if you can turn the ball and need something for oil that isnt exspenive, try to find one of these, the original orange messengers<

This ball is god sent! I bought this ball towards the end of April this year and and it has done wonders for me. I am able to play straigh down second arrow and watch it just crush the pocket. It was hard to tame at first though until i figured out a polish sceme for it and now it is awesome. I love it! Ever since I have had this ball I have shot 4 of my highest series (805, 792, 782, 777) and I have shot 299 and 300 for the second time in my 3 year career. But all in all I love this ball and if you can find it any where these day buy it. Best ball I have ever owned. Plus I am left handed that might have something to do with me loving this ball.

It took me a couple of weeks to work out what this ball was all about. The poor old thing is on its 3rd drilling and needs a resurface soon but don't judge the book by its cover, this thing still has some life in it yet. It's drilled stack leverage with the hole on pap but the length you get even with this strong layout is impressive. The backend move is a step back from being a definite Aftershock/Cuda style snap but it's nowhere near weak either, its strong enough to read easily but wont jump into the 4 or 4-9 zone like some stronger ones do after a game or so. Unlike stuff thats a hair stronger you should be able to stay with it through a 3 game set without moving way left or heading for the bag. Miss the break with too much speed though and it's in trouble, a little slow and left and its on the nose(unless you catch more hold than i had, then you might be still safe) Probably not for real heavy stuff but given fresh backs it would be usable from further out or up the track.

I bought this ball for dry conditions. I hooks more than I thought, but I do like it. Does not hook a whole ton, but does hook. Has a fairly even and predictable roll. I use this ball inside and it rolls up pretty nicely. I tried using it on the outside and it was alittle squearly, but still hit hard, just not to predictable. It is best for the drier lanes, but just not bone dry. I would like to get another and drill it with a 5 inch stacked pin. i believe this would tone down the reaction and send the ball further down the lane.<sc

i find when i have to play up the board this is when i pull this ball out! the balls rolls very nice and i get very strong pin reaction! i hear a lot of people say "that the ball dont hook alot" who sad it was going to? this ball isnt going to be a huge hooker, thats why they have the ti and the green messenger!! the first day after the ball was drilled i rolled a 300 with the ball! not bad for a ball that sells for under $100.00! if you can still find one of these buy it, you wont be sorry!<sc

I have no complaints about this ball when it comes to bowling on dry to light oil conditions. After all, I bowled a 300 game with this ball early this year. This ball doesn't do crap when the lanes are heavily oiled or are synthetic. The ball will slide down the lanes and will not hook back in the back end. I am pretty much bowling a straight ball if I encounter those lane conditions, which pretty much handicaps my game. Anyone with recommendations for a good heavy oil ball please let me know. I'm thinking of Columbia's Reaction Arc as a heavy oil ball.

The ball works great for me because when i get a lot of carry down at the end of the day i can explode with this ball or if the lanes are flooded. I would like to calm it down a bit because it hooks a little too much right now. Im a cranker so i can turn the ball a ton. So i need to find a ball that can be sutiable for dry lanes. which this one is defanitly not the way i have it drilled up. SO im not sure what the other person had but the way i have it drilled this is definatly a solid smooth hooking ball that will certainly help your game in oily or carry down conditions but if you tend to throw the ball to hard and dont have the right release then yeah it will have low hook and be like a spare ball but you have to slow down a little and let the ball do the work and get some revolutions on the ball.

This ball was junk from the moment I threw it. Expecting something similar to the Green Messenger got something ALOT different. This ball was total junk. I was very upset that I bought it. I found someone that wanted it however and it became their problem. This ball is great if you want an expensive spare ball. That's about it. It did not hook worth anything. Even on synthetic lanes. I was very disappointed in this ball from Columbia. It was definately not the typical product you would receave from them. If you are a beginner just starting out. Maybe this is the ball for you. But if you are expecting alot of hook. Think different. Very upset with this ball from the Columbia Line.
