Columbia 300 Messenger Black Bowling Ball

Our newest Messenger glides into play in a sleek, basic black. But there’s nothing basic about it. We’ve cloaked it in a new Flexathane urethane coverstock for maximum control over wet/dry lane conditions. And with grace and speed, it flies down the lane with a smooth, arcing motion to make its master proud.

well i got it because i need something that doesnt hook a ton. i was hoping it would be mellow but if i can get my white dot to turn harder then we have a problem here. this is not my first urethane ball i used to throw one a couple years ago. they both were predictable. but this predictability isnt any fun cause you know where its going and that is straight. And take care of your stuff. I've seen a couple reviews about people getting some of their equipment worn out after like 50 games. Clean your stuff save some cash

AS A HUGE FAN OF THOSE URETHANES, WELL THE BLACK TURBO TO BE PRECISE, WHEN MY FRIEND WHO ALSO LOVES THE TURBO GOT HIS STUFF STOLEN AND BOUGHT ONE OF THESE I WAS EXCITED. HA. A GREAT BALL IT IS NOT. IT ISNT THAT BAD JUST NOT THAT GOOD. AS I SAID GREAT WHEN IT GETS THERE, BUT ITS HARD TO FIND THE RIGHT RELEASE TO GET IT THERE. IF YOU LEAN ON IT HARD IT GOES DEAD LEFT AND IF YOU TRY AND BNE JUST A LITTLE NICER TO IT, THE THING MAKES A GOOD SPARE BALL. AGAIN ITS A DECENT BALL AND A GOOD CHOICE FOR THE URETHANES OF TODAY, BUT FOR ME AND MY FRIEND WHO LOVES THE TURBOS ALSO, IT JUST DOESNT STACK UP TO THEM. BUT ALL IN ALL I TOLD HIM ID TAKE IT IF HE WANTED TO GET RID OF IT BECAUSE I CAN GET IT A LITTLE LONGER THAN MY TURBO AND STILL HAVE THE CONTROLLED URETHANE REACTION.

It took some time to get used to this ball since I came into bowling when the proactives and reactives were the normai. This was my first urethane ball so it was a different reaction for me. I was using it dull and just couldnt get the ball to carry for my life. So I decided to put it in the lustre king and the ball came to life. One thing I noticed is this ball works a lot better on older lanes then the newer sythetic. I had this ball drilled with the pin above my finger right on my verticle mid-line. Stuck the cg right under the pin. Good ball when polished. I dont like it with factory finish
