AZO Littleboy Bowling Ball

LITTLE BOY (and Fat Man) are the only bowling balls with the revolutionary TWIN-PIN WEIGHT SYSTEM, which dramatically improves both the accuracy tracking and efficiency of your hook or straight ball. A powerful gyroscopic action is created by the Twin-Pin Weight System, which produces the technical efficiency to deliver a disruptive, explosive, pin-killing force at the critical point of impact. The LITTLE BOY is a stronger hooking ball than the Fat Man. Even more amazing... no matter what your current bowling ball speed... the LITTLE BOY bowling ball will maximize its striking power and knockdown efficiency! We’ve all spun a gyroscope and marveled at the difficulty of moving it off its axis, or turning it to the side... it seems to have a power and force of its own that goes on and on. FAT MAN harnesses this gyroscopic force in every ball. Bowling balls typically loose striking power as they divert some of your initial energy to maintain a track line down the lane. LITTLE BOY harnesses this gyroscopic force in every ball. Bowling balls typically loose striking power as they divert some of your initial energy to maintain a track line down the lane. Imagine what your score would be if the dynamics of the ball itself kept it on track, delivering maximum force at impact! The first and only bowling ball with the dynamics of a gyro and the uniform pre-stressed cover of Nitrothane is the LITTLE BOY... the power-ball you’ve been looking for. HOW IT WORKS: Revolutionary Twin Pin Weight System The first and only bowling ball with twin-pin weighting. The LITTLE BOY from AZO is a particle-technology ball made of Nitrothane, the most powerful reactive resin that can legally be used. The core design is so unique that we have a patent pending. With this lethal combination of Nitrothane and core design, the LITTLE BOY is unparalleled in performance and construction. LITTLE BOY will give you maximum hook with consistent reaction down the lane. This is a high performance ball that all styles and skill levels will benefit from. The scientists at AZO have tested today’s top products and taken them to the next step. Our RED/COPPER PEARLIZED cover stock is made of a powerful Nitrothane, which is a prestressed cover with a nitrogen rich molecular structure. The core is also made of nitrothane, which, when fused to the cover, gives it a unitized construction fit. Kelly Coffman, known as the most powerful bowler on the Professional Bowlers Tour in the 90’s, is now President of AZO. With his knowledge of bowling balls, he has helped develop a core design that, in combination with the nitrothane cover stock, creates the most powerful ball today. This core creates extreme versatility. The gyroscopic design features two pins on each ball. Each pin represents two polarized caps underneath them. With the gyro caps, you will have two pin placements on each ball. If you have a pin in, you will also have a pin out in the same ball. Drilling layouts for the LITTLE BOY are different than other ball drilling layouts. Our ball features a unique two pins on each ball. Both pins represent a flip cap underneath them. Each flip cap is equal in weight and size. This means that your center of gravity (cg), will float around one of the pins. Each ball will have two pin placements. (Instructions included with each ball.) Our ball features a unique two pins on each ball. Both pins represent a flip cap underneath them. Each flip cap is equal in weight and size. This means that your center of gravity, or more commonly know as the (cg), will float around one of the pins. Each ball will have two pin placements. For example, if you have a 1” pin you may have a 4” pin in the same ball. One important note on layouts for a right hander is not to put the top pin left of the bottom pin unless they are a spinner or have a low track. If the top pin is left of the bottom pin it will have a tendency to flare backwards. The a left handed drilling will be the opposite from the right-handed drilling. Hook potentials are based on a rating from 1-25, with 25 being the most hook possible. Things to Remember 1. Length and back-end reaction measurements (relative to the lane conditions bowled on) are based on the comparison of the other drillings. 2. The most important factor in ball reaction is the surface of the ball. Be sure to match the right surface with the condition you are bowling on. 3. Pin location is defined as the distance the pin (center of core) is from the center of gravity (center of label). 4. Recognize that all illustrations are shown for right-handers. They must be reversed for left-handers.

This ball is definitely special. Hit and carry power like nothing every seen before. Out of 20+ games I left maybe 4 ten pins total. I used my Littleboy on a used up house shot and to say the least, it is a pretty strong ball. I played 20 at the arrows to the 5 board and back into the pocket with devastating force. It glides through the heads and midlanes, making a sharp turn at the break point. The only downside is the ball can be a little oil allergic as Louie puts it. If you slow your speed, you may be able to use this ball on carrydown, but I haven't had much success. I bet this ball would do well on a fresh shot with clean backends, but I have yet to try that. A very interesting ball overall, even with a tough place in my bag.

I am a bowler and pro shop worker from the Midwest and drill all of my own equipment. I like to try equipment from lesser know companies because I have found that these small, unknown outfits often have some of the best, state of the art, balls. I found AZO on the Internet at www.azobowling.com and ordered two of their balls to try. I have nothing negative to say about the ball but the one drawback I found was in dealing with the company trying to get some of their equipment. They are kind of a flaky company to deal with and apparently they do not update their own web page very often. All the balls I requested off of their web page, one of which was listed as “NEW” they don’t even make anymore, including the Little Boy. I was able to finally obtain a Little Boy and it was well worth the efforts to get. I have used this ball in league play and open play and with roughly 20 games I am averaging around 230 with it; (I bowl on a very easy house shot). The most remarkable thing abou

I picked up a 16lb little boy about a year ago after seeing azo's website. I was intrigued by a ball with 2 pins. I set the ball up with the most aggressive drilling from the azo web site. The site claimed the little boy was a big hooking ball, so I moved my feet left of where I was standing with my ebonite Puma. The ball went a mile before before it started a slow arc, barely clipping the 3 pin on the right. On med. oil the Little boy hooked a couple of boards less than the puma. Heavy oil=no hook. On the plus side when I did move way right and hit the pocket with the little boy the carry was great. Almost no ten pins. As the shot would dry out the ball would over/under just terribly. Also the cover on this ball pealed and flaked. I finally gave up on this ball as it just wasn't versitle or controlable for me. I think a cranker would really like this ball on a med. to heavy oil condition. LOUIE
