When it was really dry and everybody else was way left, I got out the Shadow/C and threw it up the 7 board and looked just like Ernie Schlegle at his best. Shickdaddy hated when I beat him using this shot. If there was light oil you could still use this ball, as long as the pattern wasn't long. And when you got carrydown, you had to use speed and hand position changes just like Ernie did in the action days in Jersey. This ball was an excellent tournament ball that was retired early because it got left next to the heat register one night.

This ball was a decent ball and was a bargain for the price. It was great for lanes as they dried out but you couldn't throw this when the lanes really started to burn up. I had to keep this ball from about 12 or 13 out as it really lost its carry when I moved inside even on drier lanes. Didn't seem to have enough juice to make the turn and still kick out the corners. Overall it wasn't bad as when the lanes allowed me to play 12 to 10 or 10 to 8 or the like this ball really carried. Nice ball for a tournament bowler with a deep bag but there were better options for a league bowler.

    - Flatten out your shot and it'll hug the gutter for the 10 pin. Drop the speed, pick up the revs and it should bite back to pick up the 7. - Not the greatest idea to pull it out on synthetics unless the ball's been recently cleaned, rather pull out a urethane ball for consistancy. - Not the best ball to use if you can't control your shot, leaves more 3-10 spares than normal even if the shot's just a touch high. - Consistant hook on wood makes it a great ball for beginner to find and find their line providing they have a consistant release.
