This is a remake of a dinosaur. Columbia took a Black U Dot which was the best ball of its day and remade it in the mid 90's when it was reduced to a spare ball. When I bought mine in the mid 90's I must admit it was partly due to nostalgia. I had loved the Black U dot and was hoping that this would be a good ball to throw on dry conditions. Boy, you really dont realize how much lane dressings have changed until you throw an old "hook monster" on the new patterns. They barely hook at all. I have polished mine, and use it as a spare ball only now.
