I have had the ball for over 2 years, and it has served me well, I'm a have fun bowler, I only bowl my league once every 2 weeks, but do go out and bowl with it elsewhere. It has died out some, but is still a great ball for med - dry conditions. Oil, it will just skid , and leave washouts and other bad stuff. But on dry, you should have no prob. finding the pocket, not many 10 pins, high hits leave a 4, and light shots can leave an 8 everyonce in a while. My woman is pregnant!

I have been using this ball for over a year now and there's up and down's of it...on dry lanes this ball is a definite monster...dont throw it too light or it will overhook on dry..but if there's oil then its time to say goodbye to the Jekyll...unless you are able to slow down your ball speed then i'd recommend you to put it away..it will just slide and keep on sliding to hit pin 10...it doesnt work that well on synthetics..again unless you have a slower ball speed...which proves this ball is speed sensitive and it also depends on your release..experienced too much reactions with different hand releases..but the ball is worth the money for me..just use it for what its intended for.

This is a ball that I am glad I bought / was gifted, mom paid half for christmas. My league plays on Med to heavy oil, with a long pattern. I had it drilled aggressive, ho;ping that this would work............. IT DID, I can now throw 5 - 6 mph faster that I was, and was getting a killer snap hook. The ball hits nice and hard. I have a 179 avg, but I strongly feel it will go up. Open bowling tonight my lowest was 167 ( not converting spares, usually my strong point) and high 234, with all scores averaging out to a 192. most common leave was acually the 4, which was because I was comming in too strong, and as said, only left the 10 twice in 6 games! THis ball is either discontinued, or about to be, so If you find one buy iy and try it, they're goin for cheap now.

I have both the Jekyll and Hyde. (also got full throttle, panic, shock, and the ego). If you want a killer combo and low on funds, Jekyll and Hyde are the way to go. This is a great ball for medim to light oil shots and even dry if you got enough muscle to make it down the lanes. I typically stand about the 15 throw it out to 10 and turn my back, cause u know its going to strike..lol. I have a 3" pin and drilled it very agressive, cause thats the way i like it. I strongly recommend this ball if your looking for a medium to light oil pin killer, this is the ball. All i bowl with is columbia. All i have left to say is keep it up Columbia. Well recently the bowling alley i been going to, chewed up the ball and had to get it repaired, and in the process of resufacing the ball, they sanded it down and left it. At first i was upset and then after throwing it, i dont think i could be happier. Insteady of the over under reaction i was getting alot with this ball in its polish state, i

I got this ball from a cranker who owns a pro shop - he hated it. I have a simple, but solid technique, and love this ball. I miss my mark alot, but this ball has a nice arc and seems to hone in on the parket. With this ball, I seem to have a ten board forgiveness. If you have a decent technique, like to be inbetween the second and third arrow. This ball is worth the money. I have bought other balls which I have to work during a game to find something that I am comfortable throwing....this isnt the case. I dont worry anymore about lane conditions or arrows.......throw it......and watch it strike!

I like it. I am just a beginner though, so I know my opinion doesn't really count for much, and I don't really have much to base it on, but I just wanted to put something in the reviews... and put in my 2 cents. :) I hope that others find this ball as good as I did. My coach said it would be a good ball so I bought it. I am rambling so I can get in my 100 words. Geesh, what do they want a novel? Apparently... Ok, so... how is the weather in you all's neck of the woods? Rather chilly here.

I bowl at two houses, both Brunswick, that seem to be dry a lot. Pearlized balls are needed if you crank it. I used a Storm Hot Rod for a while, but it just never carried. You would hit what you thought was flush in the pocket but it had no pop. After talking to my pro, he suggested giving the jeckyl a try, and it's not too awful expensive, so why not. It definitely has more pop once it hits the pocket. Works well on dry lanes. I can use it on oil too. For oil, I have to play board 7. For Dry ... I can play around 14 - 18 with it. Pretty versatile. On Oil, I tend to leave a lot of 10 pins with it. So I'm giving it 9/10.<scrip

This is a great ball for the price. I just bought it bout 3 weeks ago for some tournys that where coming up and so far its 1 for 1 . It saved me big time in the second block of a big tourny . The leanes started to dry up and instead of moving left i picked it up and started to chuck it the same spot i was throwing my other ball which was pritty much up the 2 arrow and it did fine . I recomend this ball for any one who is looking for a ball that can get them through the second block of bowling and into the second day . If thats what u are looking ofr this is your ball and the best thing about it , it is cheap!

This is a decent ball by Columbia, not one of their better ones but I've thrown worse. If the lanes aren't oiled well you can stay in the track area for a while. Once the track dries out though you better change balls because this one gives more over under than usual. I prefer the AZO Red Fire over this ball but it does a pretty decent job on medium oil too. It doesn't have the hit or carry that my Red Fire does either. blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

All around good ball. Used it when my X-factor would do too much and this ball paved the way. Goes long, turns hard, kills pins. Nothing much really. If the lanes are fried the angle of entry is too sharp and I would leave some crazy stuff. Well this is a MUST HAVE for scratch tournaments when you bowl a lot of games. Ball choice is critical when the lanes change so you need to adjust with them and what else better to pull out but a Jekyll? Ok I don't have nothing else to say so I'll take up some space. 300 300 300 300 300 300 300 300 300<scr

I've had my Jekyll for a while now. I had to get a little bit more of the thumb hole sanded out. My thumb was getting stuck in there, thus effecting my score. As soon as i got that taken care of, I bowled a 606. That's the first time I've ever bowled that. I could have had a perfect game but I f**ked up on the 6th & 7th frames. I opened on both of them. From there on out, it was all strikes. I would highly recommend this ball to anybody. Go and get this ball. You won't be disappointed.

After purchasing the Jekyll and Hyde combination i am pleased, money well spent. League conditions suit the Jekyll, as well as the later stages of tournaments. Stroking it down a 10-10 line and a 17-13 line works the best for me. Left a solid 10 pin on ocasions, more so than the Hyde, but once the coverstock had warmed up a bit and the 'newness' erradicated, this ball was snapping in like a charm. I'll be using these two Columbias for a while yet. Everything about the Jekyll pleased me, even the nice shiney appearance that turned a few heads of some of the other league bowlers on the night, deep in admiration.

This ball looks and delivers beauty. The very first time I threw my new Jekyll, it hooked and hit the pocket with force for the X. They guy who drilled my ball did an awesome job. Although, by the end of my 4th game, my thumb was a little tense and wouldn't come out of the Jekyll as smoothly as it did before in the previous games. Other than that, I found my mark and I haven't seen any other ball as cool looking as this one. It has it where it counts. I would definitely recommend this ball to anyone.

This ball isnt even drilled to my hand, but the guy who it used to belong to has close to the same axis point as me, so ill go off that. This ball was stacked up, 90* X 4.5 X 45*, i started throwin this ball because i was pissed off in league one day, wound up shootin 268 and 224, not bad for a ball i have never thrown and not drilled to my hand. Slid threw the heads very well but read the oil briliantly. Has a very sharp turn in the back. i never missed the pocket with this ball, pull it, slides threw the oil with a short pop, leave it outside, comes screaming back to wipe out all the pins with no mercy.
