Likes - On a standard light oil house shot the ball is beautiful i can stand on 30 send the ball out to about 7 or 8 and watch the ball hit the pocket with a strong arc Dislikes - On a heavier oiling pattern the ball tends to skid to much forcing me to play it straight up babying the ball but it still hits hard Overall - For my needs its a pretty good all around ball i need to adjust a few boards here and there but the ball holds its own, i would recommend the ball to friends only thing is its now discontinued making it a hard ball to find but well worth the trouble

The ball killed the pocket and left no one behind. Cleared heavy and light shots more times than not. The occassional 9 pins come from a hard drive to the pocket when it finds a dry spot on the lane. I holds when I miss inside and flips when I throw it outside. Just what I needed for the way I throw. This game has become easier than I had expected it to with a change of equipment. Columbia is my choice. I switched because a friend of my got the Action Max and started cruisin, so I figured I throw to much ball for that ball at my house so I went with a little outside line ACTION.

The good: Average went up from 185 to 200. Ball takes a distinct left turn at 45 feet down. Tried an insisde line with less success - best for me over the first arrow on moderate oil conditions. Pins fly (except the 10). Keeps its' track once you find it. Needs a bit more speed down the lane to keep it on the right side. Is absolutely allergic to 10 pins...or is that me rather than the ball? It's just awesome! Came out of an EDGE PRO - no comparison to the Action Packed. If someone can tell me how to pick up the 10, I'll take this wonderful ball and go pro!

first of all im a cranker. 16 mph aprox. 24 revs. when this ball is factory finish/polished it has a good length and a very sharp turn. but cause sometimes over/under ball is drilled pin above and in horisontal line cg kicked ½ an inch out ond 1/4 up Ball is sanded with 500 abralon in axis and then with 1200 wet sand paper in the point were the all flare meets on top of ball. this ball rolls very early but hooks like a litle. seems like it hooks almost the same on dry and wet oil. doesnt have a sharp turn but a very good carry and hit. any ? please mail me kaffeninja@hotmail.com

I just got this ball today and i threw 2 games with it and i was totally impressed with this ball. The drilling I have on it is the pin slightly above the ring finger and the thumb hole kicked out to the left of the CG and angled down. (not really big on the terminology of describing the drill set up). But over all I love it. Tremendous backend. When the ball hits the pocket good bye pins. Also when the ball doesnt want to snap on the back end when you throw a hook you can always play a down and in shot, that usually works and you still get the pin destruction( LOL ). I have the Action as well and I will be getting the Action MAX when it comes out.

Had mines drilled pin under ring-finger, sense this ball as advertised goes longer than the original Action before it turns. My Action is drilled pin over ring-finger (sense it turns earlier); Now back to this ball----It hits extremely hard (TREMENDOUS BACK-END move towards the pocket), and will leave some 8-pins---however that is only a minor inconvenience---compared to the carry that I do get even on a occassionally errant shot---(all ten go down). I find that the ball is an easy maintainer as well. If you have this ball drilled as to its characteristics it will not dissapoint. I highly recommend this ball!!

i hate this 100 word minimum, so i am using my previous likes & dislikes.. When you hit the pocket, GOOD NIGHT PINS!!!!! Rolls very consistant, even with my low rev rate. I also like that the ball didnt track up right away, like the one did, and that is a BIG plus in my book. Color is awsome and reaction is consistant and predictable... This ball is WAY over rated. I bought this ball because of all the great reviews on this sight. possibly because of the drill pattern with the pin above the ring finger and the CG kicked out, it goes too long and if you dont hit the pocket DEAD center, you are going to leave some ugly looking stuff.

I purchased my Action Packed with a 3 inch pin & 3 1/2 top. I drilled the Action packed with the pin below ring & a 4 1/2 by 4 layout. The Action Packed revs very early, but retains alot of energy for a huge move in the midlanes toward the pocket. I have nevr seen any ball with this combination of roll & ball movement. The Action Packed keeps the pins low with unbelieveable carry on half pocket & high hits! I was fortunate enough to have my Action packed pay for it self in one week! The Action Packed is very versitle on all house shots; only extermly dry heads will force you to bag it. I have played shots from down & in on the first arrow to swing away from the 25 to the 10 with no loss of power or carry.

Another great ball from Columbia 300! This ball gets through the heads without burning out and drives through the rack with more power then anything in my bag. The pocket is alot wider with the Action Packed. I've carried several bad shots for strikes just from the shear pin action and hitting the pocket seems to always clear the deck before the ball. I've played the inside and the outside with this ball and last week I was in Heavy Oil with it and played straight down the second arrow and still crushed the pocket. Can you tell I like this ball!!!

The Action Packed is one of nice selection which will be need in your bag.It is the mostly control-able ball in my arsenal currently. The popular Ricochet core made the backend & pin carry became pretty easy job for bowler.I had drilled my AP as 5 X 5 , Top 2-1/4 oz. Also,to ensure the life span can be extended.I had polished the surface from bax into 2000 grits shine. And Action Packed still works well & bring me lot of fun with strikes in practice shots. AP can pass thru the head without decrease or sacrafy the ball reaction, and moves a little deep to the pin deck area. When I was wondered to get some split shots, the nice pin carry motion can re-fill up my personal releases errors. This is a nice score maintain machine. If you can use well, all the time you can enjoy the sounds & feedbacks from your competitors. This is no doubt!! Take one & play well~~

I just bought the Action Packed this week. I tried it in a few practice games. This ball may be the hardest hitter I have ever used, perhaps surpassing the ICON 2. It goes long and makes an extremely strong, but controllable move toward the pocket. The sound of the pins exploding at impact is almost deafening. The Action Packed may well turn out to be the best bowling ball Columbia has released to date. I am very excited in anticipation of using it tomorrow morning in league play for the first time. I know I will not be disappointed. The Action Packed proves what I have always claimed. Columbia300 makes the best bowling balls money can buy.

I couldn't be happier with this ball. It is the perfect compliment to the bowler I want to become. I've held a 205 average all year, but since I purchased the Action Packed, I've had three series out of about 20 that have been under 640. Literally 17 out of 20 over 640, 3 game series. I love this ball. I'm very suprised that I haven't seen more of this ball around, but that doesn't bother me, I like to use up secrets. Right now, I hope I never have to throw a new ball!!!

Bill from Buddies punched this one up for me last night right before league, I had previously drilled up an Action and loved the reaction so I figured I'd get the Action Packed to replace my dying Absolute Inferno. I dont'think I could've made a better choice, this ball gets down the lane and shreds racks. Swing it out and it rips through the backends right to the hole, Keep it tight and it buries itself in the hole. Watch out for 8 pins though (9pins for you righties) the ball is ridiculously strong in the back. Had to put it away in the 3rd game, though that was most likely due to the fact I was bowling 2nd shift. I'm surprised more people aren't throwing the Action Packed, I really have yet to see anyone throwing this ball and only got one because I liked my Action so much.

AMAZING CARRY, THIS BALL GOES LONG AND MAKES A TURN AND KEEPS TURNING LIKE NOTHING I'VE EVER SEEN. ONE DRY BOARD EITHER OUT PAST 5 BOARD OR ON THE BACKEND AND IT WILL TURN INTO THE POCKET. IT CAN STRUGLE ON ALOT OF CARRY DOWN BUT STILL PLAYABLE. I'VE ROLED THIS BALL ON HEAVY OIL WITH IT DRY OUT PAST 5 BOARD, MEDIUM OIL, AND A LIGHT OIL SHOT. EVERY LANE CONDITION I'VE ROLLED ON I'VE BEEN ABLE TO FIND A GREAT LINE. THE MOST CHALLENGING SHOT WAS HEAVY OIL WITH ALOT OF CARRY DOWN. AS YOU CAN TELL I LOVE THIS BALL. IT'S THE FIRST ONE OUT OF THE BAG EVERY TIME.

Well i bought the ball about a week ago i have thrown it on wood lanes and synthetic lanes it has a consistant reaction on both lanes. It gets through the heads with great length and has a incredible snap on the backend.I have it drilled pin under the middle finger and it rolls beautiful through the entire lane i would reccomend this ball to someone with a little expierence in bowling because you should no what are you doing to make this ball work effectively.i realy think that this ball is the most reacting ball on the backends that i have ever owned.

This is just another great ball from Columbia. Great ball if you need something that turns a little harder than the Action. Gets great length, then just turns hard. I have thrown this one about 4 sets know, and have only have had one set under 700. It would be hard for Columbia to top these two balls. Both are really great and really all I have been throwing for about 8 weeks. Hits just as hard as the Action, just stronger on the backend. Be prepared to watch the pins get punished by this machine. Be interesting to see if they come out with something for lenght.

The Action Packed is the ultimate compliment to the Action. My Action is drilled to have a steady, strong backend, while I drilled the Action Packed to go long with a strong backend. Pin above ring finger with CG kicked out 45 degrees. Threw ball right out of the pro shop on a 42 foot pattern; fresh. Played my normal shot (20 to 7), ball went to 50 feet and made a left turn, high flush, 10 in the pit. Moved outside with less hand, went longer and finished with a strong move, 10 in the pit. I couldn't get too far left with this fresh pattern, although the ball still hit the pocket light and mixed for a strike. Went on to throw the first 6 balls for strikes with no warm up. I then went to bowl leagues. The league shot I bowl on is 37 feet, dry backends. I threw the first ball in practice; left stone 9 pin. Moved left and crushed the hole. Immediately, everyone noticed what was going on and asked what kind of ball I was throwing. I got lined up and shot 247 the first game,

Specs are in profile. Ball specs were 15.3 with 3.5 inch pin 3oz top. Drilled with pin below ring finger CG swung right with extra weight hole on my VAL. Ball gets throught the heads with EASE and sets up hard in the mid lane taking CARRY DOWN totally out of the picture. When it finds its break point look out this ball will crush the rack so hard people will do nothing but Awe at this ball. The low RG and High diff's makes the ball really dynamic in the sense where you can do so much with it. The ball and very driller friendly and can be laid out tons of ways to get the results you want. Because of the A-symetric core the ball revs up very early so it will help those out with slower ball speeds or for people who have trouble getting tilt on the ball. For you crankers must have in the bag. I will be drilling a second one up here shortly. Look back for reviews.

Just had this ball drilled up yesterday and threw in league play. This ball has an awesome backend reaction. The ball definitely goes long and just when you think it has gone too far, exit stage left (I'm right-handed) and turns hard. Definitely a compliment to the Action. I had this drilled with the pin slightly above and right of the ring finger. If you need a ball to go long and want a strong turn to the pocket then this is a must. I listed the recommended lane conditions as medium to heavy, but I think in heavy oil this might go too long. It probably will work in the medium to light-heavy oil. Once it finds the dry it will make the turn.
