I drilled this ball up for one of the shop guys. This bowler is a Left handed bowler that doesn't hook the ball a huge amount. Likes to go more up the boards. I drilled this ball with the pin 5 inches from his PAP (Positive Axis Point) and the CG 4 1/2 from his PAP. The first pattern this ball was tested on was an over walled house shot, and the ball tended to be too much over/under. It had too much backend for the super dry outsides, and couldn't recover from the heavier oil in the middle. With the strong backend that this ball had in the dry, we decided to put a weight hole in the ball to calm down the backend reaction. The next shot the ball was tested on was 37 foot sport pattern with Medium-Light Oil. The ball reaction was clean through the fronts, picking up a strong midlane roll, and then a strong arcing move on the backends. I think this ball will be great on Medium-light Oil shots. i got this ball in a 14 pound weight because I have been having some wrist pain. I was worried about losing carry, but I carried very well since this ball has a lot of finish and carries pocket, and light hits with very few 10 pins. this is the first AMF ball i have owned, as I usually throw Columbia products. More people should give AMF a try. This is a great ball and has a very nice color scheme. I bowled tournament today with it and shot 5 out of 6 games over 200. i am going to get a second ball with a different surface to play on varied conditions and I will get another Amf ball.
