First ball to take out of the bag, allrounder. Clears the front easily. Hits very hard and kills the pins. If there is very less oil, put the ball back in the bag! Immediately! (Left a 3-4-6-7-10 split). If there is a lot of oil, you don´t need to put it out of the bag. My ball is drilled 3 3/8- 3 3/8 with axis hole. High speed, lots of revs. Threw nice strikes also as not so good ones, this ball seldem left the 10-pin. Quite a BIG BALL! Tested it on an AMF Lane.

This is pound for pound the best ball I've ever owned. I bought the Velocity in February, 2005 as a late Christmas present for myself. ;) I was about a 170 bowler at best when I bought the ball. I won a large tournament in May of '05 as a result of the ball, nearly shooting a 300 in the first game. (11 strikes, an open in the 5th frame). The Velocity is extremely consistent and just works it's way into the pocket. If it goes beyond the pocket and hits brooklyn, you still are generally left with a very doable spare assuming you do not throw a strike. This ball has really also cut my splits way down. I used to throw a lot of splits, but with this ball I've learned to be more consistent, cut down on splits and get my spares. The ball tends to hit well, no matter where it's placed, thus not leaving too many splits. I am always reminded of that when I try out another ball. I would recommend this ball to everyone who bowls. It's the only ball I own where I would say that. A

I purchased a Velocity after great success with a Maximum Velocity. My ball was drilled in a standard 3 3/8th stack leverage. The Velocity skids much farther than a Max Velocity, and has a huge skid snap reaction on most lane condiotions. The Velocity does hit as hard as the Max Velocity, but the violent skid snap creates a lot of taps. I ws unfortunate to have this ball start to crack after two months of bowling, and I won't be able to save it from splitting. The shell is on the thin side; about 1/4 inch thick. I think the Titan is a better buy with a thicker, more durable shell, and lower price.

a geat ball. ull have fun in dry lanes. less stressful comeback. and ull look stylish with the ball and will catch everyones eye.a very good price.watch out for ur ball when it goes off 2nd into third might come back too much. keep speed high over 20 or else ur ball would come back too much or not at all. not a good ball for the ten pin. but make shure u dont stand too far on the left. fallow throgh for more action try not to crank to much.. try to get it 15 or 16 ounds i wouldnt recomend less not good 4 week arms better for old juniors and seniors.mosly a strike ball not a sapre ball but i still use it to get some spareswhen i feel good<scri

This is my second light bulb + mass weight block AMF ball since I got Victory years ago.The Victory goes deep & hit very hard like pin crusher. This is the main reason I buy a second exactly same design Velocity. But Velocity goes more deep & larger back-end of bottom of lane. When the oil start break down,it still can handle for a while.Unless the carry down was too mass & without spare room for it.This ball will activate correctly & easy understood.Which means predictable. If the oil was dry up after several games shot. This ball can find the second way home to pocket if you throw it & push more far at head. This small adjustment will make the Velocity become wide range application ball. Try it with a not bad price tag (but a bit higher than Victory is true...)

I laid out my AMF300 Velocity with the pin 3 1/4 inches and the Mass Bias 4 3/4 inches from my PAP. With this layout, the ball was setup for a hook/set layout. I tested this ball in a variety of houses and shots. Most of them being house shots, and one 35 Medium Oil - Sport Pattern. On all the patterns, I was able to move into the dry area and throw my normal ball, while getting the ball down the lane and still having hitting power at the pocket. I haven't thrown much AMF equipment for a while and this ball makes me want to try more. If you bowl in a drier house, then you might want to think about picking this ball up. It will be a versatile addition to your bag. I am sure with a skid/flip layout that this ball would corner nicely. The Velocity is a true skid/flip ball that goes down the lane with ease and takes such a hard turn to the pocket that is mind boggleing that this is a particle ball. The carry and hit that this ball produces is beyond exceptional - it's near unbelievable. If you can trust your shot and give the ball plenty of room to make it back to the pocket very deep down the lane - then this ball is for you. You will feel like you are cheating with the carry this ball produces. AMF has produced some quality balls of late - this one is their best!

I DRILLED THIS BALL FRIDAY IN PREPARATION FOR LEAGUE. I DRILLED IT OVER THE LABEL, CG KICKED OUT ABOUT A 1/2 INCH AND THE PIN OVER MY MIDDLE FINGER (NEGATIVE PIN). RIGHT OUT TO THE LANES AND TRIED IT OUT. PRETTY GOOD LENGTH AND A NICE MIDLANE READ AND GREAT BACKEND. BALL HOOKED IN THE BACK MORE THAN I THOUGHT, THERE WAS NO SUCH THING AS MISSING RIGHT, THE BALL STORMED BACK WITH NO SIGNS OF QUIT. WHEN THEY DRIED UP A LITTLE I STEPPED IN A BIT AND STILL HAD GREAT REACTION WITH THIS BALL. THE AMAZING THING THAT I HAVE NOTICED WITH AMF EQUIPMENT, SINCE JOINING THE STAFF, AND SOMETHING PEOPLE PROBABLY DON'T KNOW, IS THE OUTSTANDING HITTING POWER OF THESE BALLS, AND THIS ONE WAS NO DIFFERENT. I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH HOW HARD THESE BALLS HIT, IT IS SCARY. I OFTEN FIND MYSELF SAYING, IN AMAZEMENT...WOW!!! I SOMETIMES EVEN FIND MYSELF SAYING THEY HIT TOO DAMN HARD!!! AND THIS BALL IS NO DIFFERENT. AWESOME BALL.
