I give the FREAK an ok Rating. If it was not for the cracking in 2 bit I had to deal with, I would be pleased with the ball with nothing bad to say. I did shoot some really good mid to higher 200's with it and I admit I do miss that ball. SO for any of you who have a FREAK keep an eye out for any cracking around your fingertips for any signs of it spliting........and for those of you who have lost a ball to cracking WELCOME to my boat. I am now very careful as to what I am buying... I take a few minutes to review what other people say about bowling products and who makes the best stuff for the money...Uncle BEN does not come around often as expected... If ya' ll catch my drift.

First post please bear with me. Our house shot is med/heavy long oil. You need oil for this ball, would not even take out if dry or short oil, to strong for that . I recommend to all fullrollers wanting to beef up the backend and hit, The ball was drilled fullroller leverage 1inch pin mb above my fingers. It was too strong out of box, so the pro shop recommended 600 grit sand with a light polish. The ball now goes a little longer rolls better nice continuation thru pins. I have new highs of 290 and 782 on games of 266, 258, 258.

First was drilled with the pin 3/38" from my axis point with the MB on the VAL, large weight hole 1" below PAP. Very aggressive, grabbed the lane quickly and had a very strong arc to the pocket, with my revs (18mph and 425rpm) was far too strong to use on anything but soup. Great for high speed, low rev players. Even highly polished was an absolute hook monster. Second was drilled pin 5.5" from my axis point with the MB in the thumb, small weight hole on PAP to get the static weight legal and to smooth out the breakpoint. Very nice smooth reaction, never overhooks, but still has energy at the pins. Best for medium-heavy oil, I wouldnt use this on dry lanes even polished and drilled super tame unless you have 2 revs :) If you can still find one of these its a great buy, i would recommend this for anyone to use on medium oil all the way to a flood.

This ball was first Freak series ball I had in my bag.I had drilled it as normal label with a 3" pin out & 2-1/2 oz top. This is a nice ball for a bowler who may step up a level but no more beginner. This ball need enough forward power to maintain backend energy will be kept & release on time. So,my suggestion for any other bowler is if you are a rookie or slow speed ball player. This ball will become a heavy loading for your shoulder since you need to push & push. However,it is still a nice selection when I have to compete at local tournament.Oh...yes,by the way.Remember always clean up the surface after several games. It is a sponge coverstock & easy satuated if you ignore or forgot to clean.

This is my favorite ball i just got it about a week ago and i have shot a 281,274,and a 243 my first seiries. this is not a good ball whatsoever though if you have dry lanes it will track out faster than you can say WOW! this is definatly the first ball out of my arsenal of balls, i do hawever have to put it away once the lanes break down and it becomes hard to carry it throug the heads. i would definatly recomend this ball to anywone who wants a high performance bowling ball. I LOVE THIS BALL!!!!!!!

this ball carries very good and hits like a truck u dont need anything that hooks more than this alright if you are going to get the oil off of a bowling ball you do not BAKE it plastic balls you can but resin partical or urethane do not i strongly recomend it you ball will only last about 20 more games the heat burns up the resins in the ball and it makes the ball track faster so you will not get a consistant roll so what i suggest get some warm water put som dawn dish soap in it make sure u have ur grips out if ur ball because the oil will soak them then let ball sit in the water for about 10 mins then change water you will see the oil come off the ball it works great then clean the ball off with some cleaner to make sure you have all of the surface oil off of it then you are done soak a ball for about half hour believe me it will last a lot longer and you will get better results

This ball is the most consistent ball I have ever rolled, you always know exactly what reaction you are going to get when you roll it. Outstanding as long as there is any oil to use. Heavy, heavy oil, and I can fire it up from 10-5. Medium oil, and it works just as well moving in deep and swinging it 15-25 boards. Even gives you a little bit of play and a little room for error without making you pay dearly for it. I throw the ball hard with a lot of revs, and this is the most ball I can ever see needing on anything that isn't completly swamped in oil. Now that it is nearing its end, I will probably replace it with a new Freak, I love Track equiment, but a Super Freak, or any of the Phenom line is more ball than someone that puts a lot of hand in the ball is ever going to need.

its great for a tight inside line on lanes where thats the shot. i have been able to play outside if the insides to wet. For me its just way to much ball on a house shot if the insides blocked off. what i really liked was the predictability of the ball. it never did anything unexpected. and i could count on it doing what i needed it to. But the fact is for me its just one of those balls i can chase oil lines with late in matches and still hit hard enough to score with it. if you dont have much hand this ball would be good. but for me it depends on alot lane conditions. i just cant wait to get my Phenom Unleashed and Animal

just have to throw this ball out farther and let the ball roll into the pocket this ball knows how to find the pocket. I also bought the freak out that ball doesnt even compare to the freak it leaves to many splits and doesnt hit hard as the freak..i would recomend the freak to anyone out there who throws a hook this is the best hooking ball i have ever had..you wont be disapointed in buying this one. you can even make a ten pin if you throw it straight and slow down the ball speed i went 10 for 10 on my ten pin shots

this ball plays nice and easy with a lot of games on ball just clean every 15-20 game with renew and it;s like a new ball. have not changed a thing on this ball from original drilling.this the best ball out there. keep going track . the freak line is the best line of balls on the market right now. plays great angle in to pocket moves the pins around nice and easy. average has gone up 15 pins with this ball. no longer a brunswick fan only track and the frea line of balls with do. hope this ball never dies out. thanks track.

This ball is still amazing. Just last week i shot my high series and game sanctioned. 289 with a 766 series. Its not real high but to still be posting numbers like that after being a year old says something about this ball. Special!!!!! I rev it up and throw it hard but u dont have to do that if u want this ball. Tons of ways to drill this ball up. Im buying another one when the get cheaper just incase this ball ever dies out but from the looks of that it wont happen anytime soon. TRACK FREAK STILL #1 IN AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So overall it's a decent ball. But it doesn't do what it's made for. Well it did for the first 50 games. I still use it now but it will be my back up when my new Ebonite V2 Strong gets delivered. I will probably still use it though when the conditions are really dry. I did shoot a 300 with it so I guess I shouldn't really be complaining. But that was earlier when the ball was just starting to die. I use to have to crank the hell out of it just to keep it on the lane but now I'm lucky if it decides to bite enough to reach the pocket.

As i said, this ball will hook, whether you want it to or not. That, however, is what I like about it. I tried it out at lanes that my old ball (Riptide) would move maybe 5 boards, if I'm lucky. this ball, however, took off on me and caught me by surprised. Then I went to my normal house. These lanes are normally dry, lanes that others have said that the Freak is nto good for. I, however, shot a 653 my first time out there. All you need to do is roll the ball a bit harder, and that takes care of the problem.

If you are a tourney bowler this is a must in your bag. I find this ball works better poshished on med to med/heavy oil lanes. Heavy oil just leave as is out of the box and you should be fine. Very heavy oil lanes it is better go dull with a 800 to 1000 grit paper. Anything less than that the ball acted wierd and had a hard time going into a stable roll. Track's new line of performance ball began with this ball. If you are looking to get a ball in the morpheous line, start with this. Then after try the Mutant for a diffrent look. <scrip

I had 2 of these when they first came out, and both of them HIT great. PIns flew everywhere. I had not seen this kind of hit out of a ball until I got the Freaks. Today, it is 3rd if overall HIT in the morpheous core line, but when it came out it was awesome. This ball was very touchy with releases. A slight change in your hand position, and the ball did something completely different. Some would not like that, but I change releases alot and it is very hard to find a ball that recognizes hand positions like the Freak. Track's new dominance in the high performance ball began with this ball. If you want to get a ball in the morpheous line, start with the Freak.

Again, I made the same mistake of drilling this ball for lenth with an aggressive backend!! The coverstock naturally gets good length, so I scotch brited to 600 to get earlier roll. Nice smooth transition from skid to hook. This is the HARDEST hitting ball I have ever thrown!! Tremendous power at the pins!! I had to play straight up 10 with this ball on a house shot. The ball would skid about 45 feet then smoothly start to turn and smash everything in its way!! Of all of the Morpheus cores so far, this one is my fave. Great Ball!!

BUY IT FOR SOME HELP WITH YOUR AVERAGE AND ANYTHING THAT WILL HELP U WITH MEDIUM OILY LANES. BUT WHEN I GOT IT THEN IT HELPED ALOT AND IT DID THE THINGS THAT I WANTED IT TO SO BUT NOW I MIGHT GET THE SUPER FREAK AND THEN THIS BALL MIGHT WORK IN THE HEAVY OIL LANES WHEN I AM SHOOTING DIFFERENT HOUSE SHOTS IN DIFFERENT BOWLING ALLEY'S. BECAUSE WHEN I AM AT A DIFFERENT BOWLING ALLEY MY BALL GOES THROUGH DIFFERENT SHOTS AND ALOT OF THINGS AND I SO GOOD SOMETIMES AND I DO BAD SOMETIMES SO I AM GLAD AND SOMETIMES MAD.

I got this ball when it first came out, and had it drilled for max hook. I added a balance hole to calm things down and give it a bit more power. It took me a little while to get used to it, but once I did I could light it up.The house I bowl at seems to like throwing a new shot at us every day, so my scores got inconsistent. That's not the ball's fault though. I did fine when there was oil, and bad when it got dry. This is a pretty versatile ball that you can do a lot with. It was my strike ball for a while and I still switch back to it when they put oil out there (recently, it's been bone dry). I recently had it resurfaced and once it was polished I was able to throw it again without fear of overhook on those dreaded dry lanes. I have a ton of balls, from all different brands, but this one is one of my best, and one I still like to use when I can. I don't like to use it in super-heavy oil, but it's good when they put a moderate amount out there.

got mine drilled pin directly under the ring finger, cg directly under that (3" pin) the ball is fairly smooth through the front of the lane, and the condition I tested the ball on was flying in the backends, so I moved in deeper than I usually am (standing around 35 out over 20) and there was never any doubt the ball would come back...never rolled out, and only left 3 10s all night. Only shot 613 because of massive stupidity (missed 6 single pin spares, 2 of the 10s) Overall a very good ball so far, but like I said, I got it used and am anticipating particle death, but we'll see

Well i dont know a lot about bowling so you guys probably dont even want to read this. but for what i think. this is a wonderful bal hooks a lot but not uncontrolably great midlane reaction very predictable. ive had it for like six months and still hits like a frikin sledgehammer, carries everything.scatters all ten pins the biggest problem i had was throwing it i used to try to force the ball to hook, but it hook ten times better if you give the ball time down the lane and if you let it hook for itself

This is a great ball for crankers after you polish it for house conditions. For sport leave it at factory. It is an exellent ball right out of the box. I Want to purchase another. It is mid lane roll so it wont hit late oil and doesn't over snap and you can almost read the flip when it does. It keeps a consistant roll all the time. The ball also gives you leway to miss your mark by a bord or two due to the non - oversnap of the cover. Wjen playing in an oillier shot sand the ball back to original cover and hit it with the brissle pad and it is a terror scorching up the backends

Don't waste your 135 bucks people. Unless you only plan to use it in tournaments. The ball loses reactivity quickly and wont last long in the long run. If your a tournament player, its a great ball. Like most of us league bowlers, i would recramend Storm balls for they last longer and are good for many lane conditions. We need bowling balls that will save its self its reactivity for at least 75 + games not just 40. If i was track i think its time they look over the coverstock of the ball and see how its possiable for the ball to last longer.

I have 2 coice to choose between the Shock Trauma and The Freak, and i decide to buy the freak because he has a great hook. One days, i was play 269, 258 and 225 they make my best score ontree game 752 with the freak. He have The color of the fire like a meteor, crushing those pins. This ball is very good especialy for heavy oil and the tournement. I made a good choice to buy that ball because he really give a great turn. My suggestion, buy this ball especialy for someone he need a very good ball with particule, it's a great ball for you.<

A 16lb. Freak is the best carrying ball that I have met. You can play a huge line or a small one, this ball comes. Medium and Heavy oil this ball is the first I choose. My testing for months says that overall the Freak carries better than the FreakOut. I have my Freak lightly polished and it works well. I had my first 800 with this ball, and I need a 15 lb. one since I switched weights. Currently considering the Mutant with the added piece to the core. Mutant might even surpass the Freak.... The FREAK is ALL BIZNESS !!! 15 lb. Mutant is on the way to my house as I type !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That will be more fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hard to describe a dull bowling ball with a particle load that goes this deep then flips towards the pocket gobbling up boards like Pac Man gobbling up dots. Enormous back end that simply destroys the pocket. Carries everything - hits that don't look like they will carry simply explode the pins into the pit. Dry lanes are near impossible as this ball must be a long way outside the pocket and getting it "out there" on dry lanes is difficult to say the least. I have never seen any ball, ever, carry as well as this ball. More backend than any other ball out there at present.
