The Freak-a-zoid. We combined cutting-edge Track technology to produce a ball like no other - the Freakazoid. We took our popular Morpheus core and made it symmetrical to provide more controllability without losing power. Then we paired this new core with our Power Plus Reactive coverstock and lowered the overall RG to increase the rev rate. The result? Freakazoid's unbelievable control and amazing performance...and your winning game.

Before I start I should say that I drilled this up as an experiment, luckily the results were awesome. Ball Specs: 15 lbs, 4oz; 5 inch pin; 4oz top-weight. I wanted a ball with a very long pin so I could try a drilling that I had in mind. I had a Freak-A-Zoid a year ago and really liked it, I traded it for something else, and have regretted doing it ever since. I was browsing on the BuddiesPro Shop website and noticed that they had FAZ's in the closeout section for $70, shipped, and they had one with a 5 inch pin and a lot of topweight, just what I wanted. After I got the ball I went to my driller and we discussed trying a drilling I'd seen and had wanted to try. We set it up with the pin directly below the bridge, with the CG directly to the right and about 10 degrees down; with a wide, deep hold directly on the PAP, we took it up to 4000 abralon and put a coat of Black Magic polish on it. This axis leverage type drilling, with a smooth cover produces a lot of length with a

ENTRY ANGLE FROM FIRST ARROW IS EXCELLENT. BALL SLIDES THRU MED TO LIGHT OIL, HITS THE BREAK POINT , REVS UP AND DRIVES THRU THE HEADS WITH AMAZING ENERGY RETENTION. IF ANY PINS ARE LEFT AT ALL THEY WON'T BE STANDING LONG BEFORE A MESSENGER COMES ALONG AND WIPES THEM OUT. THE ANGLE THIS BALL DRIVES IN AT WITH THIS DRILLING WILL TAKE THE EIGHT PIN OUT NO PROBLEM. ALSO HAVE TO GIVE THE COVERSTOCK CREDIT IT GRABS WELL IN OIL, BUT DOESN'T BECOME COVERED,NEEDS VERY LIGHT CLEANING. THIS BALL WILL RAISE YOUR AVERAGE! VERY FORGIVING ON AN ERRANT SHOT AS LONG AS YOU DON'T THROW IT INTO TOO MUCH OIL. BUT EVEN IF YOU DO IT WON'T USUALLY LEAVE YOU A SPLIT - JUST TOO MUCH PIN ACTION FOR THAT! AM SO HAPPY WITH THIS BALL, HAVE ORDERED ANOTHER ONE TO KEEP FOR LATER IN CASE SOMETHING HAPPENS TO MY FIRST ONE. HAVE THROWN TEN SERIES WITH FIRST ONE AND STILL NOT ONE UNDER A 205 AVERAGE.

The ball is drill 4 3/4 by 2 1/2. This ball continues to amaze me. I read the lane with it and use it on tough sport patterns with ease. On medium high scoring conditions I'm able to keep pace and even out score the high rev guys with the FAZ. I have had the ball for almost two years and I still use it almost every week. Shot 834 with it last week on a high scoring condtion to win another tournament with this ball. I hope I can find another one to put away for rainy day.

The Freak-A-Zoid has a low RG core, which makes the ball roll early and is great for heavier oil conditions. The ball will need head oil, or it will roll too soon and not have any pop on the backend of the lane! This ball is a great benchmark ball for any bowler, as it may be the smoothest ball in the Track line. The Freak-A-Zoid keeps the pins low, which increases pin carry. My FAZ is drilled with the pin under ring, cg in the palm, with factory surface. A need for any tournament bowler!

This is ball is a very even ball. What I mean is that it doesn't over or under hook in the front, midlane or backend. I have 2 FAZs. 1st one I drilled with the pin below my ring finger CG 1 1/2 inches to the right x hole 1 inch below PAP. Surface, wet sanded with a grey pad 2nd ball I put the pin above my fingers cg 1/2 inches to the right no hole. Surface, shined with Magic Shine 1st ball rolls up nice in the midlane with a nice arc in the backend. 2nd ball goes a little longer with a slightly stronger arc. The ball continues through the pins with both drillings and surfaces. It seems what ever you intend this ball to do it will do. Another winner from Track. -------------------- John Walther III Track International PBA Eastern Region Staff Member <scrip

I started with a 4" pin. Drilled this ball 5 1/2 x 4 pin above fingers on grip midline and hole on the axis. This ball is very smooth and works for me on the fresh. I use this ball allot in league. When the heads start to go you can move left, chase the oil and still get recovery. This ball carries very well for me from almost any angle. I would recommend this ball for someone wanting to step up in performance but not price. The Freak-A-Zoid would make an excellant one ball arsenal for some one that just bowls league. -------------------- Tom Hess Track Regional Staff Vise-Grip Pro Staff<s

I bought the ball to get a little more snap on the house shot I throw on, without getting to carried away (our house is not suited for play inside of 17/18 board). On the fresh shot it provided what I was looking for and carried the ten pin more consistently. Missing right was fine, as the ball would snap back enough to mix the pins. Left on the other hand is a different story...The ball wants to move and does. Now for the bad news...As soon as the lanes started to break-down, the shot consistency becomes touch and go and can cause you to make unnecessary adjustments, frame after frame(confirmed by three other ball owners as well). I have learned to put the ball in the bag and take out my trusty Track Assassin (can't wait for the re-make of this ball) in order to keep the frustration level to a minimum.

Ball weight : 15lbs 3 oz Pin : 2.5" Top : 2-1/4 oz Right handed bowler I had this ball week ago & drilled it as label leverage with pin spot 1" right of ring finger. This ball carrys very outstanding & hit pins with special sound. Not normal pin crush but much more like pin press sound. When I throw it correctly, the pocket became wider & seems like allow me to have 2~3 boards miss and still can find way to strike 10. The ball moves just as Advertizement,ARC.A very strong arc but not losing power in front part of lane. This ball need a special condition to maintain the strike performance is you need to always bring it on a lane with few chances to carry down after couple games.Once the carry down situation getting worse, you need to put it back in bag before un-recoverable mistake happen.Be aware of it's belone, then you can enjoy your games with higher score & pin fall. By the way,if you can prepare a original Freak as back-up ball when lane break down.It should be the perfect

Pros: Great ball for medium heavy to medium conditions, morpheus core is good reving and strong! Cons: leave it in the bag when it comes to dry heads or light oil. this ball is to strong for that!! Lane Condition bowled on= fresh oil 42ft on new synthetic hpl lanes. Bowling style= Right Handed semi Cranker, 18-19 mph ball speed. Ball condition= Brand new in box surface condition layout= drilled fingertip, pin above and in between the fingers, cg moved right toward pap, 1" My PAP is 5" over, and 3/4" up. comparison= the freak a zoid is a strong reactive ball. It out hooks my crunch time by 5-7 boards, allowing me to move deeper and open up the lane more, thus creating more area, or "error zone"!! I would say it's a good ball for medium heavy to medium lane conditions. Not for when the heads go away, and i'm not sure about real heavy onoly because i have yet to see that! This is not a ball that I was excited about when it was released, but it has turned into my first ball out of the bag. In comparison with other stuff currently in Track's line: It rolls sooner and heavier than the Sheer Havoc. It rolls later and slightly more angular than the Animal Untamed. The Freakazoid is a "DO EVERYTHING" ball. Perfect for the league bowler on the league shot. It is also great for tournament or sport conditions....it really tames down an OVER/UNDER condition. I like this ball so much I had to get another one. I have one drilled for length and backend and one drilled for earlier roll. Both of these balls punish the pins when it gets to the rack. It is an awesome ball, and if you don't have one, you need one! CG Pro Shop Track Intl. Advisory Staff
