RAW power... Beautiful roll towards the pocket.... everytime it hits the pocket you HEAR the hammer trademark.. the color makes it hard to figure out the breakpoint.. if you plan to use this ball on anything LESS than HEAVY oil then i recommend polishing it.. but if you play with A LOT OF BALL SPEED, then DO NOT polish unless you can rev the ball like tommy jones or robert smith or amleto... but if you do, then lucky for you coz you would be able to use this ball on light oil as well.. bla bla bla bla bla jessica alba is damn hot!!!

i've been trying to sell this ball for about a year or so now, and everytime they want me to demonstrate it for them, i shoot amazing and start to use it again. the ball has always been too light for me till now, i've changed my back-swing, and now it's once again perfect. i'm average 220 with it in 2 different leagues, one of them traveling. the ball is just simply a great ball, not recommended for dry lanes though, it'll hook too early and screw you over. don't even think about it!

i use this ball on a medium oily to medium-dry lane condition...but a typical asian bowling alley with carrydown permits me to keep this ball in its box finish...1200matte...holds its line very well...once it reaches the 1-3 then boom!..dont be surprised with the number of 9's you tend to leave with this ball...when you hit brooklyn, watch the headpin fly all around the deck area..pins come from the back to take out the front ones...this ball is just magical...i wish hammer would bring back this one...i'm willing to buy 5 of them!!

Just a great ball. I hadn't used it in over a year and half and was about to sell it. i was asked to bowl with it and show how it worked, and i shot a 750series with it, so why would i sell it? just a great ball for oil, moves nice with the right speed, and hits harder than a truck. Have to keep your ball speed down if you want this ball to work in the heavy oil though, and your revs don't have to be very high to make it move. just a smooth roll and a not super human ball speed and you'll have it made.

For starters, this ball is drilled with the pin directly to the right of my ring finger and the CG is stacked straight down (about a 2-3 inch pin) and a balance hole has been placed just to the right and a little below my thumb. Now, the reaction on this beast is AMAZING. Clears the fronts especially well for a particle ball, and the backend reaction is unbelievable. My initial reactions of this ball is that it is basically a carbon copy of my Freak (my 300 ball). The power at the pocket that this ball provides is just incredible, and it carries so many off hits too. This ball has restored my faith in Hammer as they have been putting out a lot of great products lately (I know this is an older ball, but still great)

This ball truly is Vicious and backs the fact that nothing hits like a hammer. Well, almost nothing if you count morich equipment but that's besides the point. Bought it and drilled it with the standard label leverage, pin next to the ring finger with the CG in centerline of the grip. Put a little black magic on it and threw it on my saturday league's heavy oiled synthetic lanes. The ball went down and started to rev up and when it transitioned into the roll, it hit the pins like a freight liner. It had spectacular carry, and the hit was unbelievable, sending pins flying across the deck. It had a very strong and consistent roll and very a particle ball with the leverage drilling, suprising length and incredible angle. On the wood lanes, it went down long with a very hard arc back to the pocket. Pocket hits are almost definite strikes. Playing a swing of about 20 to 5 on wood and 15 to 5 on synthetic, the result were the same and incredble results. 2 700 series and a 267 high game. Defi

Hits like a mack truck. For an average-speed thrower, this ball will without a doubt do the trick for you. It crushes pocket with relative ease. watch your speed with it though. With the core it has, if the speed gets up too high, the ball won't move. If your a fast thrower, either don't buy this ball, or slow your speed down. It will handle a light hit and usually be forgiving, but don't count on it. if you want that, buy the Blazing Inferno. pin reaction is good, roll is smooth, but just watch your speed.

I bought this used and thought going with a lighter weight would allow me to add RGs & speed if needed. After using the leverage drilling pattern (3-3/8" CG & Pin from PAP, Pos "C"), I could not get the ball to hook as I thought it should. I then placed it in the dishwasher for 1 cycle with a little detergent and then used Ebonite ball cleaner, then Ebonite ball poilsh. I tried again...WHAT A MONSTER!!! The Vicious Particle cleared the front (oily) heads easily & in the mid lane started it flip and brutally finished into the pocket. I do not recommend swinging this ball too far out for then corner pins and splits will appear for the Vicious particle will actually hit behind the headpin. Also, the ball is speed sensitive so playing a tight line (standing 25 and shooting 3rd arrow) works extremely well for the way I like to roll. No matter how far out I through it, there was always a surplus of power in the backend and will overpower the lanes when they begin to dry out. The skid/

The ball hooks in oil, makes an incredible turn about mid way down the lane continues to hook in the backend and demolishes the pins. This ball is not a ball for dry lanes. I usually always half to play inside fourth arrow or deep unless the lanes are flooded than i am still playing between 3-4th arrow. this is probly one of the most hooking balls made and you will have no trouble getting this ball to wrinkle at anytime if drilled right. Not good for a spare ball. This is my first hammer ball and i am not dissapointed.

I stacked this ball up, 90* X 3 3/8 X 45*, NOT for dry lanes obviously. Made it threw the heads fairly well when I threw it a lot harder than usual, never failed to come screaming back when out of the oil. This ball gets a higher rating when polished, clears the heads much smoother, and still has an awesome snap on the ass end. This thing flared almost all the way around the ball, great looking color, not too easy to read going down the lane, the color sceme is hard to focus on when tourqed up.

I love this ball. It is the first ball i bought designed for heavier oil and it is great. Nothing but results for me. You have to put this ball away when the lanes break down though, or you will be hooking it gutter to gutter. I have only been bowling for about 4 months and I have never been able to score consistently, but this ball just hits and hits hard every time. I would recommend this ball to anyone looking for a good ball in heavier oil. Cant say enough good about this ball. Like they say, nothing hits like a hammer

I just got the vicious particle today and I tried it out on a pair of freshly oiled lanes. It was terrible did not hook at all. When it did hit the pocket it didn't carry for nothing. So took it back to the shop and threw it in the polisher for 10 minutes. Dave Gacek (the owner) said that's not going to hook at all. Did I prove him wrong. Went back out and threw it for the first time, the ball went to about 40 ft and snaped, it was unbelieveable. Dave mouth droped. Shot games of 269, 216, 279 great ball. REMEMBER TO POLISH IT !!!!!!! The ball stinks.HORRIBLE. rolled out halfway down the lane on every condition. if it didnt roll out then it jus didnt move. its was a $170 spare ball for me. I was having trouble with ten pins when i got this ball and found out it stinks and started throwing it at 10 pins it worked great. its never reacted. the ball was horrible for what the company sed it was for. i liked the old hammer but i hate the vicious series. the whole series is like the apex series it STINKS. The worst investment i have ever made in a ball.

I actually ordered the Vicious Pearl from an on line pro shop who sent me this ball by mistake. Fortunately for me, the shop told me to keep this ball! Initially I never had use for it as I bowl a late night league with medium dry lanes; however, at the end of the season, our league was the only one left bowling which meant that the lanes had fresh oil. Out came the Vicious Particle, and I was not dissapointed. Initially I had some difficulty with the significant backend angle produced by this ball, particularly in the beginning of the night when the backends were dry. Once I mastered the 'snap,' the pins began to fall. I found that this ball is especially effective when it hits the 1 pin light but at the Vicious' extraordinary angle, causing a mix of pins which almost always resulted in a strike. Of course you need your platic ball ready for spares.... Hammer has done a great job of combining coverstock and weight block to make a truly aggressive, vicious ball.

First Hammer ball and I am definetly not disappointed in the least. I can play this ball on the heaviest oil conditions to medium. Just keep moving in. I generally play this ball from between the second and third arrow and let it arc out to about the 5th board. This baby just crushes the pins. Sometimes it seems like it slaps the pins so silly that on some occassions it actually causes some pins that collide to just rock a pin that they would ordinarily take out. Talk about forgiving. I can be hit the head pin and still get a majority of strikes. This definitely wont be my last Hammer ball. This is my second purchase from the Ebonite Corporation and wont be my last

NOW YOU GET THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. REMEMBER NOTHING HITS LIKE A HAMMER. IF IT HOOKS TO MUCH YOU MAY WANT TO GET IT POLISHED. I CHOSE NOT TO BALL WORKS GREAT RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. MAKE SURE YOU USE A GOOD BALL CLEANER THIS ONE REALLY SUCKS UP THE OIL. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR GO BUY IT TODAY!!! GO!!!<scri

great ball! took me two games to find my marks, but once that was over, the thrid game was a 234, this ball comes in fast and comes in hard! if you need a hard hitting ball, with a lot of pin action, its vicious time! you can crank this ball out, and have it come in, or have a more mellow straighfoward shot and have this ball cut through the head pin like its jello. i wish i got this ball sooner, because i would have probably made varsity on my high school's guys bowling team, next year though, ill have my vicious, and ill have my spot on varsity, if you need a blal thatll give you mroe powere for less moeny, get a vicious particle

Great ball for medium to heavy oil conditions. would recommend to everyone who bowls on these conditions. The very first time i rolled the ball i got 245 226 and a 276. I just absolutely love this ball and highly suggest it. I am glad i purchased this ball for the conditions that i bowl on. It is made by ebonite, was else can i say. Ebonite has been busy making some great products lately and i am very pleased on this one. Great job Ebonite! I bowl on synthetic lanes and the backend is just amazing, never doubt your ball, always stay behind it and believe in it.

This ball has its ups and its downs but because it has the unussually long, tends to come in light sometimes. The difference between the deflection in this ball and addiction is it has a less likely chance to deflect outward because it comes in on such a steep angle. However the ball does have a tendancy to leave the bucket because of this angle. Over all it leaves a lot more strikes then spare shots and gives you the extra edge on oil. Just be careful with your placement or this thing will go wild. There is no point to writing any more since it would just be some random crap to fill the 100 words

its a real great ball for heavy oil if you like to throw straight down and in but the again thats the way to play heavy oil. its not a house ball for sure but its great to put in the bag for tournaments.it has great hitting power and great carry but once the lanes start to open up it goes into the bag.with out oil this ball has no hitting power or carry.ive tryed shining and sanding this ball but have had no luck but the 320 sand. if anyone has any suggestions let me know but i belive this is a one condition ball only.

Don't expect ANYTHING from this ball if you are a fast bowler. Rolling this ball at 22 mph, I might as well have been rolling my spare ball. It just slid right down the lane with hardly any break. It certainly sucks up the oil, too. I have to clean it before every game. Can't wait to try it on dry lanes. When I slowed the ball down to 20 mph, that sucker slammed into the pocket like BEAUTIFUL... Just don't miss your mak. I didn't see a lot of forgiveness. Conversely, a lot of pin action can come with this ball. Rolled a 262 on my 8th game.

This is the first somewhat bad hammer bowling ball I have had in my life. I have been a hammer supporter forever, but this ball is suspect. I had a variety of good bowlers with several different styles shoot this ball and they all agreed the same. The ball was designed for use in heavy oil, and it can preforms there, however this performance does not transfer over to any other lane conditions. This ball will burn-out too early on drier shots and tend to have an over-under reaction on medium oil, so its use will be limited. I would definately recommend this ball to anyone however who is a skilled bowler, participates in tournaments, and is looking for an edge on those tough conditions.

Great ball when i have heavy oil. Never wanna get this ball out when the lanes are dry, or it hooks right off the lane. Great power into the pocket blows up the pins everytime, had my most strikes ever in a row at 8, im in love with this ball. Great ball when i have heavy oil. Won this in a local tournament. Had really liked hammer back in the day...but wasn't really impressed with the last couple year offerings. Had heard good reports on this so figured drill it up and give it a go. Pin Under drill, with box condition....wanted it to get into a bit of an early roll but have energy for the backend. Throw around 15-16 mph....High Track tweener. All I can say is WOW!. Clears the heads well....reads the midlane....if hits the dry early doesn't roll up but holds......and makes a controlled yet strong arc to the pocket. As for carry.....Forgetaboutit! Hit the head pin and watch the fireworks! It is also very forgiving....can pull into the oil and still have enough to get to the pocket and carry...and if I swing it to the dry doesn't over-react and roll out. What more could you ask for???

Great ball is you know how to use it. Shot 657, 710 all three games. The ball rolls out great and has great tilt to get the best carry or the corner pins. Bowling ball makes up for mistakes and doesn't over react when i pull the ball. Hits hard when I throw the ball right. Hard to control when i first got it, but i have more knowledge of the ball the more i throw it. On dry lanes, it needs to stay in the bag. When you first get the ball, practice with it for at least 15 games before you use it for league or tournament play, because then you will be able to read the ball more and to get some more control.
