Hammer Vicious Strike Bowling Ball

(12 reviews) Write a Review
The most angular ball of the Vicious Series, Vicious Strike stays clean through the fronts and attacks on the backend with a killer angle. This cut-throat angle is accomplished by modifying Vicious Strike's Low Mass Bias Vicious Core design and adding a pancake to the top of the core. A modified version of the Power Whip Particle Veneer is wrapped around the dynamic core, enhancing performance. Its goes to show, small changes mean big results on the lane.

This ball, at least for me, was not the "heavy oil" weapon i think, because my SHARP BLADE hooks even more in a heavy oil lane. Mi Vicious Particle Pearl hooks a little more than the Strike, but... in a dry conditions, this ball is my best option, i can make a shot with good power and speed, and will have success; hits veery hard and have an excelent backend in the right conditions. A good weapon that can be trust, great complement for use in a light oil lane. This ball make an unvealibeable performance for me in the last 4 games of a very hard tournament (212, 237, 245) before the final game.

I have been a fan of Hammers since my first Black Hammer in 1990. I have had a Pink Hammer (for spares) and I still use my Burgundy Hammer after 12 years. This ball is wonderful. I stand, line up my mark and deliver the ball and this ball does the rest. First night with it I bowled the first 5 out of the door with no problem. Hooks tight and with power. Does not like the lane when it drys up some, one must adjust when the lane drys to make this ball continue what it has been designed to do. I am glad a bought this ball

This ball is drilled with the pin next to the middle finger, no balance hole driled. The ball has unbelievable power, when it hits the pocket.. there is little doubt that there is anything left for you to spare. It's just so vicious. This ball really lets me open up the lanes, i can throw it from the right or from the left plus if you sand this bad boy down you can throw it so fast that you'll destroy pins in a blink of an eye. If you polish it up, it'll give you this nice skid/flip reaction. Overall, it is a great ball.. Get it for your heavy oil ball.. and you will really annihilate those pins with it. *update* : I notice that you need a bit of oil for the ball to get a good reaction..the lanes that i bowl on have little or no oil at all except for the occassional triple oiling..in that situation.. this ball is the bomb. I also added a balance hole to give the ball more backend.<scr

The vicious strike is a must have for any tournament bowler. This is not for slower bowlers since it would probably be too strong. Hammer has done a great job combining a pearl particle cover with this low RG high flaring core. I think the strike has more flare than 6 inches. This ball is as aggressive as my RS1 but the RS1 has more length out of the box. Compared to the depth charge, the strike has much more hook potential. This is great for sport shots as long as you throw it right to the oil. This is a great ball if you want to throw a wide hook on a sport condition. The vicious strike is way too strong for the league though, at least for mine, I think most of the time they forget to oil as much as they do other days. But for the first part of a tournament, try the hammer vicious strike.

i got this ball in early march and has about 10 games on it. tis ball is a straight up monster on the lanes. it has the best backend and arch ive ever seen come out of my hands. it is also very forgiving. this works for almost every knid of lane condition except for dry lanes. even my little brother bowls 150s with this ball and hes 9. it increased my average from 166 to a 178 in 3 weeks. a nice steady increase in my average. this ball has me saying nothing hits like a hammer!!!! peace peace peace peace peace peace peace peace peac

When I started out the season I was using the Danger HPH and I got to tell that this ball couldn't do crap. aFter about half way through the season I bought the Vicious Strike off my friend. After a couple months my average has gone higher and I shot a 299. my average went from a 197 to 210 and I'm telling this is a good ball I can gurantee I will get a 300 with it someday. I used to believe hammer wasn't that good of a company cuz no one down at my house throws any hammer balls but after throwing this ball I'm going to get some other hammer balls. Hammer's # 1. LIke I said one day I will get a 300 and I did and throwing my highest series yet a 789 whoo-hoo

I didn't like this ball really at all. I thought it should hook more than my spare ball. It hit really flat. I left 5 seven ten splits. On sevreal times, It never hit the head pin from the dirt of the out side where my spare ball was going past the head pin. I really don't care for hammer products. Im glad that it wasnt my ball and I would not ever recommend this ball to any bowler. I would rather throw a tracked out house ball made of rubber than throw that hunk of crap again. thats all I have to say about this ball.

I GIVE THIS A REVIEW OF 100%. HAMMER IS A GREAT BALL COMPANY. HAMMER IS GREAT THIS IS WHAT I USED TO ROLL MY FIRST 300. I ROLLED IT ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND 6 DAYS LATER I ROLLED A 705 WITH IT. HAMMER IS A GREAT BALL COMPANY AND WHEN I MAKE TO THE PBA TOUR I HOPE TO BE ON THEIR STAFF SOME HOW. THAT IS ALL THE BALLS I THROUGH IS HAMMER. EVERY SINCE I STARTED USING HAMMER AGAIN MY AVERAGE AS STARTED TO GO UP. I THINK HAMMER NEEDS TO COME OUT WITH A BALL THAT IS NEON GREEN AND NEON ORANGE. HAVE THE WORD IN BLUE.

Very good ball for all around use. Arc is extremely easy to control and predict. Doenst have that nasty skip/filp, or over react when it hits some dryer boards. This ball wont keep you "locked" into the house shot, you can move around and play where you want / like to play. Carries very well playing inside and outside lines. I prefer the factory finish, although it can be polished up and used when lanes are on the dry side. This is the first Hammer ball that I could play where I wanted to play, without sacrificing carry, or accuracy. One of the best balls on the marke today.

Great ball, can recover easily from throwing to far out or too far in. solid in the pocket. bought this ball to hook in the oil and does a great job. Bowled maybe 10 games and already have beat my previous high record by over 20 pins. carries in the pocket and sends the pins flying. don't used in light oil cause it will hook right off the lane. Overall its a great ball to add to the collection and works great in extreme oil conditions. I would recomend this ball to anyone in medium-heavy oil conditions. A little costly but well worth it. Update on ball. Threw on a synthetic lane the other day and posted a 258, once locked into place the ball just sends the pins flying.

what a big hooking ball once it reads dry its gone. this is the best carrying ball ive used in a long time. i have to move with the oil but as long as i get it out i know its comming back real hard. and this ball sends messengers every where. its cover seem to clean up real easy. i can play out side with a 15 to 5 swing or go way inside. and iam really amased with the recovery of it playing real deep. its drilled full roller and i can cover some boards with it. i watched pj massey hammer staff member here in town roll his and he hooks it coast to coast and told me this is his go to ball. hes a big cranker and it hits like a truck. i havent had to much of the ball burning up unless i get it to far out of the oil. this is the ball of the year.

The Vicious Strike was drilled up for length configuration and delivered pure skid/flip performance on long - 52, medium -48, and short -36 oil patterns. The Vicious Strike has a wicked backend in the toughest of conditions, and it just keeps on blowing through the pins, even on shots sent too far wide. Amazing for a pearlized coverstock. But the flip plate addition really shows it power if the ball speed is not kept up, then it will blow by the sweet spot and crush Brooklyn, not altogether a bad thing since it either struck or left an eight pin. Leaving oil on the Vicious Strike did not diminish its forceful flip into the pocket either; it still went through the pins with little to no deflection. It may be hard to handle in medium oil, but less finger may correct the issue. It looks awesome rolling down the lane as well! This ball truly proves that Nothing Hits Like A Hammer...NOTHING!
