Picked this one up used. 15lb, 2.5" pin. Drilled pin under ring, cg stacked below. Original Diesel core gets this one revved up early. Mid-lane read is very consistent and backend reaction is incredible for a solid reactive resin ball. Must have head oil for this one to work. Ball comes off the dry hard and backend snap will leave little in it's wake if you put it in the pocket. Not the most forgiving Hammer and will punish you if you get lazy with it, but once you get in the groove, this one is hard to stop scoring with! Highly recommended to all Hammerheads!

I just bought this ball and all I can say is... wow! I don't understand why more people don't have this ball. It has a smooth motion through the front and when it hits the dry it makes a 90 degree turn to the pocket. I only have a few games on it so far, but the reaction has been consistent and it has carried the corners very well for me. I had several bowlers coming up to me and asking what ball I was using and where they could get it. I previously bowled primarily with a Hammer Hawg Wild, and while I found it to be a very good ball, I had trouble playing and inside line because it would hook to early. The Big Rig is the perfect solution for me. I would recommend this ball to anyone. My only dislike would be dry lanes. I tried this ball on dry lanes and it is not usable. No matter how hard you throw it just hooks to much.

I have been bowling with Hammer for the last 20 years, and just when you think that they can't get any better they do. I had the original diesel and was responsible for some of the best scores that I have ever thrown. So when I heard about the big rig, I just had to get one. When it arrived you could tell it was a serious business ball, as there were no pretty colours or swirly patterns just a ball that wants to rule the lane. I could bore you with the drilling etc of my ball, but instead let me just say that the only words that do this ball justice are "simply sensational" I am a stroker witha ball speed of about 25-27kph, and the big rig still allows me to get to the pins with great entry angle. I can't think of a single fault with this ball, so if you are smart go and get one (You won't be disappointed).

overall another very nice ball from hammer they have been pumping them out like crazy the last year and a half. I think that they understate the reactions on thier drill patterns quite a bit which lead me to drill this one up a bit strong, but the cover seems to take well to adjustments we'll see how it likes a re-surfacing to get the reaction I desire. As for now I really need a med. heavy oil pattern to take this ball past the first game ,after that it's good night Irene. If you get this one buyer beware drill a little less aggerssive than you'd normally would and you'll be fine

This ball gets up in the backend on the wood lanes. Crushes the pocket. I leave spares i can't make like the 10 pin 7pin 9 pin sometimes. Maybe because i just can't spare. i havent really tried it on syntheic but it crushes the pocket here on the syntheic it hooks a ton. I placed eight in the tournament in college and i shot a couple of 200s with a 268 game. i also shot a 170 and 160 but thats because i changed balls. But i still cant spare. I have nothin to really say but this is a great ball and i have the pin under the fingers. and it has skid snap

Drilled with pin over ring finger and CG on right side of grip and had the ball polished to 2000 for more backend. If you have too much hand you may leave 9 pins, just doesn't stop moving. The ball was drilled for carrydown and handles it without stopping. Heavy arc on backend and hits like a train. The ball will glide through the front and starting up in the middle and have power for the back end. I do not get the out of control flip just a very strong move that you can control. I've used the ball for nine games and increased my average by 30 pins. 195 to 225. Just don't try this on dry lanes it will not work as I have stated above, too much and burns up.

I like the addition to the Diesel line of balls. I bowled with the Big Block Diesel and had some awesome scores. I was surprise with this new Big Rig Diesel, because it gave me more punch on the backend. It really has a stronger backend motion. I didn't have a problem with the ball not carrying when it got to the pocket. I did not have a problem of leaving many ten pins. The second time I was bowling with this ball I shot scores of 265, 248,279. Hammer has come out with another great ball that a person can play in the oil.

I had a weak moment and bought this ball. I am not too fond of skid/flip balls, but I thought I'd give it a try. The pin is under my ring finger with the cg kicked out slightly. This ball likes to be thrown hard with a lot of hand. It is the best skid/flip ball I have ever owned, but I still find it to be difficult to control. This is probably due to the fact that I like controllable, arcing reactions on my equipment. Be as it may, this ball does hit harder than any ball in my bag because of it's skid/flip nature. This ball turns the corner hard! If you're a fan of skid/flip balls, then this is the ball for you! Update - Finally learned how to throw this gem, so I have given it the perfect 10 it deserves. Chalk it up to user error!

This is the 2nd Big Rig that ive drilled up. With this ball the surface came out of the box w/ a lite 1000 grit surface. I drill this ball w/ the pin under and stacked under my ring finger, w/ a large weight hole in the thumb quadrant. This ball has seemed to work well for me on those condtions were I experience over/under. With the surface being the way it is, it gets through the heads and burns up just enough to provide me w/ enough carry, and also allows me to move left or right little by little w/o making large moves on the approach. This ball was not drilled to hook all over the lanes, this is more of a control layout for me

This was the first ball I ordered from Brian Graham. I was looking for a ball that rolled similar to my Ebonite Big Time. Although the coverstocks and cores are totally different this all still gives me a look kinda close. For me I have no issues getting through the heads in most houses pending there are a decent amout of units down. But this ball reads the midline well and for me reved up around 30-34 fee and when it started to turn over, man, this ball hit like a ton of bricks. So if you looking for a ball for next season that will give you length, without losing backend power the Big Rig Diesel is for you!!

I drilled up the Big Block Diesel, Razor Blade, and the Vibe with the same layout. I put the pin 3 1/2 inches from my PAP (positive axis point) and the cg 4 inches. The Big Rig Diesel is my favorite ball out of the newest releases from Hammer. I am not a fan of Skid/Flip type balls, but this ball is just awesome. I used this on a variety of lane conditions, from a Heavy Oil Sport Shot to a walled house shot. This ball goes long and then give you strong backend punch at the pocket. On the heavy oil sport shot wouldn't hook much, but it gave me enough backend to get the corners out. On Medium Oil, this ball shines. The ball got down the lane with very good length, and then made a strong backend move with great pop at the pocket. The Hammer Big Rig Diesel is another solid addition to the Hammer line-up. When you need something with a Skid/Flip type reaction on Medium Oil conditions, make sure that you don't over look this ball. Any questions, please email me at Bill@Budd

LAYOUT: 5.5” pin; under bridge; 60* layout with X-hole 2.5” down on VAL I think it may be the combination of the Diesel Core and the layout, but this ball is silly. This ball is nice and clean through the front part of the lane, revs hard in the mids, but once it hits dry it “checkmarks” off of the spot. It is such an angle that I don’t think this one will see much action for me. This is the first Diesel I have thrown with the original Diesel core. I could potentially like this ball with a much weaker layout, possibly 105*, to tame down the backend reaction. My personal opinion is that the Diesel line from Hammer is intended for the player who is rev challenged. This ball would most likely be great for players with less hand than me.
