Ebonite Blue/Violet Sparkle Tornado Bowling Ball

(10 reviews) Write a Review

Just starting out? You want a ball that will grow with your skills. A ball that can remain a valuable piece of your arsenal. The new Tornado series combines the features of entry-level simplicity, kicks it up a notch with a higher tech weight-block for more backend punch, and wraps it inside of the consistent power of the Mega-Bite™ Super Tack Plus coverstock. Available in the blue sanded version (800 grit) for faster ball speeds, a factory polished pearlized sparkle, and a factory polished two-tone sparkle for medium to slower ball speeds. Blowing the competition away doesn't always require outspending them. When bowlers with slower ball speeds and those who wanted to attack the lanes with a straighter trajectory asked us for a ball to wreak havoc on lighter oil conditions, we took the Tornado's modified pancake core and kicked it up a notch with a higher tech weight-block for more backend punch. Then we wrapped it with the consistent power of a Super Tack Plus reactive resin coverstock that's factory polished for a one-two punch that really scores.

a tornado blue/violet is a great ball for anyone out there but me trying to bowl a strike ball with it is just impossible . it was my first reactive ball and when it was my only ball i bowled heaps of strikes with it . but it was when i got my hammer diesel particle pearl when i started to suck with it . now i ve turned it into a ball to get my 7 pins with and it s working very very well for me and with anyone else out there i highly recomened for a first reactive ball .

just got it re-drilled and its so amazing. my review on the other tornado is really about this one since this ball wasn't avaible at the time this thing hits like a freightliner. no matter where it hits their is always a chance to carry a strike. how can u not have this thing in the bag. sure ebonite cant compare to track but damn this thing is amazing. their has never been a ball this good for this cheap. its amazing how great it really is. u will have to throw it to believe it. i have one last thing to say if u dont have this ball in ur bag ur crazy. So have fun and go out and find one. o yeah by the way i have the blue sparkle one and damn it looks good

When i first got this ball i got it for dry lanes. I didn't realize that i was going to use it on medium to heavy oil lanes. Iv'e had some problems with the ball since i first got it, and the problem is that other friends i know that have a tornado, theirs really doesn't have much hook to it, but mine takes off. I wouldn't recomend this ball for dry lanes. It hits solid tho and that why i still use it. The backend on this ball is unbelievable. Thats what makes this ball come in some hard and quick.

First of all this ball is a great ball for someone who doesnt put many revs on the ball, or for someone who is just beginning. If you are pretty experienced you could easily move in deep with this ball, the only problem is, it doesnt have any drive when it hits the pocket. It is a great value, and if the lanes are oily, i throw it at spares that my vortex wont get. and plus this ball was once BEN GIESECKE'S.. so it is one of my fav's. I ALWAYS WIN. I ALWAYS WIN. I ALWAYS WIN

This is a great ball for beginners just moving to a fingertipped ball or an experienced player who wants a ball for lighter to medium oil. Ebonite definetly under-rated its hook at 13. It should be at least 18 to 20. It sas great backend punch and hits really hard leaving few if any 10 pins. My average was 140 with a plastic Ebonite Magnum w/o fingertips and when I got this ball and had it drilled for inserts I bowled a 201 my first game ever with it and a 180 the next game. Its a great strike ball, if you hit your mark your almost guaranteed a strike. I also threw 3 brooklyn strikes in a row with it. Also, i got a strike and the ball hit almost dead center and i still got a strike. It was the ugliest strike ever but it was a strike none the less. This ball has great pin action. I did have trouble keeping on the right side of the pocket when the oil was light because it wanted to hook too much. I was amazed at this balls performance. I only paid $93 for the ball and drillin

Very GOOD ball! this ball was very cheap, but after reading the reviews about it in BTM (Bowling this month) I though I should give it a try. WOW!!!! what a versatile ball good on most types of conditions. This ball has it all for the tour player ( Kim Terrell won the Laughlin Tournament with) to a bowler that is just starting out, you will find that this ball is a very nice hitter and doesn't loss it's power easy. You could say it has the force of an F5! Only about 60 bucks at www.ebowl.net GET THIS BALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW

this ball as amazing length and a controllable backend.it can be played from a sections of the lane either from the deep inside arrow - all the way to the left playing the one board.this ball is not good if you are a power player with alot of fast revving because it woould look like a good shot but the ball would get half way down the lane and would straightin out too early and not make it to the pocket.u can make some close shots to the pocket ad the ball might send some messengers going slow and might not knock down some pins.might get some perfect pocket shots and leave a couple of 4,7,and some ten pins though

This ball has a pin out of about 2 and a half inches and it is drilled at 11 oclock with the pin over my ring finger. ebonite under rated this ball, it was rated at 16 boards but it should be rated at about 20+. Ebonite was right about this ball being good for a beginners ball. This ball gets good length and it has a hard snappy arc.The only thing about this ball that I dont like is the hitting power. It doesnt hit hard because of the 3 piece core design, but that doesnt meen that this ball is a bad ball. For around 60 or 70 bucks it is a very good ball. I recomend this ball for medium to heavy oiled lanes.

For the price this is one of the best. This would definitely be a good ball for beginners. It offers great length and a strong finish. I bought this ball to play a straighter line and to give me more control. It really surprised me how this ball would hook. The length on this ball is great, just what I expected from it, but the ball seem to snap hard at the end of the lane. It wasn’t the kind of hook I was expecting from it but it still worked out great. I will normally stand on about the 35 or 36 board and throw it right of over the middle arrow and it comes back everytime. Don’t get me wrong though, it is not that big of a hooking ball. It hooked a lot more then I thought, but its not like a particle ball or anything. I do bowl on drier wood lanes which works great for this ball. The only real problem with the ball was its hitting power in the pocket. Its not real bad for the 3 piece core, but it doesn’t explode in the pocket like I want a bowling ball to do. Overall it is a great
