I just got this ball 3 months ago. I need more practice with it. I am a 185 average bowling only during the weekends. I almost got a 300! Will get it one of these days. Very good ball for begineers. Columbia just came out with a new Wicked. The color is not as nice but seems to be a better ball. Hook rating even on dry or oil conditions. Must be more predictable then the wicked I have. Why are they making balls faster than we can get use to. Anyone that wants a controllable ball, buy the wicked! I think I am going to stick with Columbia balls from now on. Very good price for their balls.

i love pretty much everything about this ball, especially the look of it. ive only been bowling for around a year, but im in the top 1/3 of the kids in my league. hopefully this ball will help my average go up and put me in the top ten. i have an ever increasing average of a 130 currently, ive went up 6 pins in the last week with it. the only thing i dislike so far is that im not consistent enough in my throw, and the ball tends to hook a little early and go brooklyn pocket on me, but 1/2 the time i get strikes with it, brooklin or not. i think this is an awesome ball for a new player, i just gotta be more consistent but im working on it.<scr

For Columbia's mid price balls you get lots of ball for a little price. When i get in a rut and have a hard time reading the lanes i grab my wicked , and all the problems seem to go away, not really .But it is so easy to throw and it reads the lanes very easy, for example i bowled after league tonight a bowled 7 games on the same pair with two other guys playing almost the same line.I moved maybe 2 boards left threw same arrow and it held as long as i kept up the speed then it started to leave solid 8,9,10,s. but as long as i could find a little oil i was ok . Over all Great ball for the money and beginer bowlers Take care and good luck on the lanes.

Great, Bowled this week on almost completely dry lanes, huge local tourney dried them up got 8 in a row brooklyn. Just have to adjust for dry lanes dont even try hitting pocket unless you throw down the middle on dry lanes. On dry lanes have to find dry spots outside of 1st arrow your its like throwing a conventional straight ball. This ball if fabulous I wouldn't recommend changing the factory surface at all unless the lanes are continuously dry or heavily oiled. After throwing a Rhino Pro Teal for years this is a Terrific change and really helped the average! Also a great ball for beginners.

Good ball... not one of my favorites though. I bought it because I was told it can hook through the oil. I just purchased a Monster Smash/R for heavy oil, now I have a full arsenal in my bag. The Heat II for light to dry conditions, the Wicked for light/medium conditions, and the Smash/R for when they are flooded. Not a bad purchase, I just was expected more out of it in the oil. Hitting power is really good when the lane reaction fits the balls specifications. If you bowl on synthetics definitely pick up this ball.

This all is amazing. I didnt think i had an hook in me until i got this ball. My main ball was a urethane (its a spare all now). This was my first ball from when I lowered my weight to fifteen. Drilled with columbia's B2 patern. It slides like a plastic all until it hits the backend, when it kicks strait into the pocket. Its insane! I used to get 15 boards when i threw my Rhino with high revs and no speed. I throw this this four times harder with fewer revs and it comes up with 20 boards (all in the backend). Lets sum it up: Pros: Great Backend Controlable Looks Great Playable Nearly Anywhere Powerful Hit and Carry Cons: Carrydown Color was lighter than picture, but it still looks great (EDIT: i used a green scotch brite pad on the ball for a tourny and it hits HARDER. I DIDNT THINK IT WAS POSIBLE!!!)

This is one of the best bowling balls I ever saw. It has a very good hook, and a very strong hitting power. I have it from about 3 months. It has a good backend reaction. It is quite predictable. It is very good for medium speed. If thrown too slowly it can curve from gutter to gutter. If thrown too fast it will curve less but with a better angle. Its very good for the people that just started bowling. I do not really like the white spot there is on top of it. The rest is very nice though.<s

I'm a cranker and I really struggle with this ball. I averaged 202 for 3 years, but I have too much trouble controlling this ball. I bowl on dry to medium lanes, and I think this ball might be better for oily lanes. It doesn't go far enough for a cranker on dryer lanes. If you are a cranker, and plan to use this as a strike ball, it snaps so much on the backends that you are going to need a spare ball for sure, as it will be tough to nail down 10 pins, even if you do flatten it out. It stores so much energy for the back ends

For the cost, this is a great ball. I can not believe Columbia calls this a mid-perormance ball. This is anything but a mid-performance ball. My average has gone up almost thirty pins since getting this ball. Very versatile and forgiving, this ball is great for almost every shot. When the oil dries up the ball may be too much for some bowlers. The ball is very consistant with the oil breakdown and cuts a nice groove for itself very quickly. The superflex coverstock can cut through oil very well, but at the cost of speed on heavy oil. If you can make the adjustments, you might not ever have to take this ball off the rack.

The ball is a great all around ball. I haven't found a lane it doesn't work on. It is the weapon of choice for a lot of bowlers around here.In the first month I owned shot 299 this ball is great. The only problem i found with the ball is when i go for my corner pins it either wants to hook to far or not enough. I just got it though so i will problly figure it out sooner or later. The ball is a 2nd or 1st arrow ball it will come in if you put enough fingers in it. If the ball isn't coming in check your form because it problly isn't the ball its most likely human error. If you like a ball that is good for most lanes this is the ball you want.<

Carries anywhere in the pocket. Have effectively played 5, 7, 12, 15, and 20 board (no, not the same game) with this ball under various houses and lane conditions. Ignores heads; haven't found a condition where the ball will not come up. Drilled long and late. There must be medium to heavy oil or it will roll out. Carries anywhere in the pocket. Seems to be unforgiving if I miss inside with my slower ball speed (16mph). Did I happen to say it carries anywhere in the pocket? Neat color but they could have used another label color than pink though...

The ball hits the pocket with tremendous power gives excellent pin action. and allows u to miss inside If you miss outside be perparred to leave the three six nine ten and i had a tendency to leave pocket 9 pins I only threw for three games but i can tell it is a winner ball just by the way it hits the pocket and allows u to miss inside and still finish most balls dont finish when u leave them inside. And it flys i suggest not to ever use this ball on light oil i would keep it in your bag<scri

This ball hit very hard. First series out the box was a 631. I have a 170 average. No matter how far out past the 1st arrow I threw it, it still came in and slammed the pocket. This is excellent addition to your bag for a dryer lane condition. In oil, I had to slow the ball speed down to 15. On dry, I can carry 19-20 ball speed. Excellent choice for a mid-range priced ball. It will improve your pin count easliy. I hope to see a particle version in the future to compliment this ball<scri

I got the ball from a friend who is distributer for $60. He drilled it threw 2 games on it a sold it to me. The ball is a blem, because insted of pink lettering it's in white. I was throwing a ball that moved about 5-8 boards, this one moves about 10-15!!!!!!! It doesn't matter if i miss my spot wide because every time I have, it just seems to tear into the pocket. I was always a consistant spare shooter but I struggled to string strikes with the "Wicked" my problems are gone. The distributer I got the ball from has tried the new "Icon" and other high end balls but he throws a "Wicked" and a "Spirit" so what does that tell you.

I got this ball in October. I had it drilled with the pin just to the right of my ring finger, and the CG just under my palm. (Close to Columbia's "B2" leverage drilling). I'm not crazy about this setup. I'm considering drilling it for more flip. I experimented with the coverstock a bit. I scuffed it with a burgundy scotch brite, which made the ball react sooner, with a softer breakpoint angle. It also cut through carry-down very well. I prefer to keep it polished, as it doesn't absorb oil as easily, and has a stronger backend reaction. Polished, it lightly tracks up after about 30-40 games. Scuffed needed more cleaning mantenance. My favorite conditions with this ball is medium-light oil on wood, or medium on synthetics. I can still throw it straight up the second arrrow, or move inside, slow it down, and swing it out. (the latter is my favorite shot with this ball). Heavier amounts of oil start to limit my shot. I would personally rather use another ball for that

this ball is very predictable, meaning you can count on a sharp break to the pocket, its a great looking ball and is best on lightly oiled lane conditons at least for me. but also can be used when shot is burnt, just need to speed up delivery. only down fall is heavy oil, but ball is not meant for that condition anyway. this is a good ball to pull out of bag when oil starts to break down, all in all i give this ball a rating of 10 this is the first ball from columbia i have owned but not the last

Great ball for someone who needs a little extra help with roll on ball ( a tweener like me). Need to have some oil on lanes for this ball, but not heavy. Best striking ball I have used. Carries 10 pins and trips a lot of 4 pins. Get this ball! Not only does it perform it looks great going down the lane. Also the ball is priced right. Columbia has another winner. Ilike it as much if not more than my BSP. Columbia are the only balls I throw. This ball works on down and in shot or swinging the ball. Just a great ball.

After drilling ball WICKED (Leverage 4 x 41/2, 15lbs) , I played 2 parts to test the ball and my drilling. Imagine, I obtained 215 269. I was very very surprised potential and of which how it strikes. Front, I played with TRACK MAGIC HEX, and the potential of WICKED is a little more interesting from the point of view of the SNAP and BACKEND. For my next games, I would choose the WICKED for always. Large thank you in Columbia and congratulation for this maginific ball. Columbia Wicked = 10/10 -> Medium - Heavy Lanes Track HEX = 9/10 -> Medium - Light Lanes Track Money = 10/10 -> Heavy Lanes

How much? Not hook I mean the price.... This ball is perfect for the bowler who dosen't want to spend a weeks pay check on a new rock, if you catch my drift. Pleanty of backend almost too much if there isn't a ledge in the middle. Color is beautiful and if you sell balls for a living you know color sells. Ball doesn't do many different things no matter which way you drill it so you bone heads out there drilling in your garage can't even mess this one up. See you on the flip side. Capt. The Wicked truth is, Columbia named this one right! Dropped down to 14lb equipment and wanted something to finish hard on the backends and boy does it EVER. here are the specs: ball- 14lb 0oz with 4 oz topweight, pin out 2 1/4 in. bowler- Righty with medium speed and above average revs setup- Pin in middle above fingers with cg in palm(12:00). Ball has 3/4oz finger and no side weight. This ball comes polished and that is what I wanted, so I left it in box finish and went out to give it a whirl. The lanes were freshly dressed for league- 35ft buffed to 42ft with the outside of the four board being quite dry. Let me start by saying this ball clears the heads so easily that it is deceptive as to what it will do. After clearing the heads, it started to rev up about 2/3 of the way through the midlane and that was when I got my big surprise. My first shot cleared the heads and went far enough that I thought I had missed the pocket when the ball did something REALLY wicked! It
