I got this ball just as it hit the market in early 2002. Today, just days from 2008, my old Rev is still under constant use as my first choice in a ball. It shot my high series of 695 in September 2007, and my high game 289 in December 2007. Not bad for being new out of the box in 2002. Wet, dry, it doesn't matter. The Rev performs, and always hits. I got a new one (which I don't use hardly at all in comparison to my old one) and it really had a mind of its own. Eventually it will tone down to a very smooth, predictable piece.

I am looking to sell my reaction rev....it is a very good ball, i have been using it for a little over 4 years b4 buying the new rival. i am the second owner of the ball and it has only been pluged and redrilled once, which is pretty good if u ask me. I am only looking to get 30 out of this ball which is a very good deal. I just recently b4 buying my rival took and scuffed the ball with the burgandy scotch brite and then gave it a hot water bath....i live in springfield ohio If interested contact me at mahrensx4@aol.com

To everyone that says that the ball dies out fast it does, i have over 1000 games on mine and it still works fine, my trick is after ever time u use the ball use rubbing alchol on it, and after about 100 games get a bucket big enough for the ball to fit in and fill it about 3/4 of the way full but about 1/2 a cup of dawn dish washing soap in it and let the ball soak in the water for at least an hour, pull the ball out set it on the thumb hole over a towel on the counter and let it dry....if let set in the water long enough the ball will revive and be just about like new again.....and remember use hot hot water....boil it if u have to

I got this ball in a summer ball league. At first, the ball was great. Nice skid snap, good carry. Then, after about half a season, the ball stopped hooking and hitting. I tried everything to get the ball back to how it was when I bought it. Everything from sanding, soaking in hot water to get the oil out...Nothing worked! The only time it would be halfway decent was when the lanes dried out. That is when I shot my first three hundred game. The lanes were toast and the ball worked for once! This is the reason that I do not like Columbia products. They die after short use.

The ball overall is a great ball. It explodes the pocket like nothing else. It rolls really good. But the factory finish has got to go for high rev players. If your a high rev player.... the ball will just keep on gliding. I had to get the ball sanded to 800 and it finally moved. Now that the ball is sanded it has a tendency for a bad over reaction. So watch out for that. Other than that the ball delivers when it is called upon just like a "REVeron" does. This ball also carries many ten pins :D

This ball was a good ball when I got it it hooked really nice but got it in March and now this ball is Tracked out it, and will only hook on dry lanes, and I still have a some problem carring the back row. This ball still has a good backendbut it will only hook on dry lanes. This ball will not hook on oil and the carry of this ball is less than desired has a hard time carring on the back row. Only had this ball since March and it tracked out for a couple of weeks just tring to make do with this ball till I get a Re-Loaded

Ball Specs 15.2 lbs, 4 inch pin out, 2.5 oz. top weight Drilling - Stacked leverage From day one, this ball has been great. It gets way down the lane and then makes a seriously hard snap on the back end. The hits the break point and BOOM! The Rev absolutely crushes the pins. I highly recommend this ball to anyone looking to add length and snap to their game. Shot 1 - Sythetics with a little bit of carrydown. (Typical house shot) On this condition the Rev comes alive. The ball gives me absolutely no trouble at all. It gets through the heads with ease and starts to rev up in the midlane. When the ball hits the break point, it is "lights out" for the pins. Man, this ball really hits hard on this condition. Highly recommended. Shot 2 - Fresh oil with stripped backends. On this condition, the Rev will have a tendency to jump off of the dry violently at times. If you are not consistent on virtually every shot, be prepared for some brooklyn hits. The ball will always get down the l

I had flat burnt out this ball. I bowled with it a ton, about 15 games a week, and it lasted for a good 2 years, but one day it just quit hooking. After almost a year in the closet, and a bad slump later, I remembered how well I had done with it. Sure my Formula is a good ball, but I needed something different. I took the Rev to my pro shop and he resurfaced it for me. After 8 months of constant use this thing still works like it did out of the box. Since it has moved back up to "ball number one"

A top of the line skid/flip from Columbia. The Reaction Rev goes long, makes a hair pin turn, and comes on strong. Drives through the pocket without quit. Soaked lanes will cause you to put this one away, but on a fresh house shot, it can be the first one out of the bag. Can bowl with it all night long with minor adjustments. Great carry as the sharp angle of entry produces great carry and scouts galore! Toasted heads will cause the Rev to grab too early; therefore, losing its' power by time it reaches the pocket. There are better balls for soaked conditions and toasted heads; but, for anything in between - this ball is a winner.<scrip

If you are looking for a ball that hooks, look no further than here. Ball will return to the hole from just about every angle with great carry on lighter or high shots. Carrydown does not seem to affect this ball as much as others I've thrown so it truely is a great ball for most conditions you'll find. If you decide to add this ball to your bag, you'll probably need to put a plastic beside it for spares 'cause it really is difficult to keep the ball away from the middle of the lane. This is more versatile than the Icon series as it's performance can match all three in that line and it's easier to to carry one ball instead of three. (cheaper too!!!)

The ball reacted well on the house shot, but if you travel to a different house with more oil might need to put back in the bag , and get the reaction arc out to bite through the oil.I also have a reaction rip that is compatible to the rev. I had it drilled at a 45 degree axis which gives it an arcing roll which is easy to control unlike the stronger drillings .It seem when you have your balls drilled at a 45 degree axis it keep the pins lower to the deck ,usally means better carry on the corner pins. Good luck and Good bowling

Alright well i bought this ball for the beginning of school season. Our team has been pretty good for the past two years and this year everyone got a lot better. So when i went to get a ball i wanted something that would allow me to open up the lane a lot. So i went for this ball. The day i got it i took it out for some practice and i was swinging the ball like you wouldn't imagine. The guy that drills my bowling balls for me was in shock. But then after about 12 games, i found myself standing on about the 10 board and throwing straight down 5. The ball still recovered well but the reaction was pretty much lost. I've slowed my speed down now and the ball is working a little better, but still doesn't make as strong of a move to the pocket as it used to. Overall this ball is good for a medium oil condition, and its especially good for players who like to throw a more direct line. another good ball from columbia

I used a proactive ball before purchasing the Rev. I had to adjust 5-10 boards when i first tried out this ball. My average went up by 15 pins, and i owe it all to this ball. I plan to keep this ball and probably get the Icon2 for my Ball1. I hope the Rev won't die out sooner thatn expected. Would hate to see me sell this ball. Best Reaction Series Ball for me! ! ! ! ! ! ! Love the color and how it skids and snaps ! People are impressed the way the colors mix up when it goes down the lane.

I love this ball. Since I have gotten this ball, my average has gone up from 157 to 183 (I'm a kid). I think this is the best Ball that Columbia 300 has made. With a late break point, the pins explode into one another. If you can hit the pocket, you are almost guaranteed to get a strike. SInce the purchase of this ball, my number of seven pins left has gone south, so I'm less dependant on my spare ball. The only disadvantage to this ball is long oil. This is the bowling ball of my dreams. This ball has shown me that an older ball can still be the best one of the group. I just got the Icon, but still use the Rev as a first ball.

My friend named Brian got this ball, every one told him it was the ball for his he shoot get a recovery, a Er, a Richocet, but he went with what his coach Mike LoBianco, said, and man was everyone wrong including me. THis ball is crazy man. No matter where he throws if he throws it correct baboom. Strike a couple stoned 10 pins every once and a while. But man is he on target he averaged a 116 before he got this ball, now hes up in the 150's im impressed i gotta start protecting my average way to go KID.

I got to get this ball through my local league, i have used a Storm Ultra Hot in the past and stood center dot and threw third arrow right of center. With the Reaction Rev I had to stad all the way left and throw center dot. The ball skided to the gutter then rolled staight the cut over to the pocket at the last second. The pro shop guy saw it and his jaw drooped he couldnt belive it hooked from far right to the pocket at almost a 90 degree turn .Since then i have been getting compliments every time i throw it. there is one problem after 2 games you have to move 14 boards to compensate for the oil soaked into the ball.

This looks to be the most impressive Reaction ball so far. It looks like the Reaction Rev ball will be the smoothest and most predicable Reaction so far. This ball was drilled for one of our shop guys that like to play more direct. He was able to play outside for the beginning of the night, and was able to move inside and still get the ball react well inside and still have the hit and carry need, while still play a tight line inside. Shooting 750 with this ball the first night out is quite impressive, and we will wait and see what this ball will do on a second shift condition. Thanks Bill BuddiesProShop.com
