I had the Pearl before the Solid and I knew it was a good ball, for the first Ceramicore ball it's nice. I have 3 of them that are label drills but they react differently, one goes long and breaks hard, one I have to swing the lane with, and one that I can pipe up 10 and is continuous through the pocket. For 3 balls that is 4 years older than me, they still hit like tanks

I got this ball in Nov. 1994, for a league that had a flood out. Wood lanes, Guardian on the first 18 feet and a flood down to 38 feet. I played straight up the 8th board and watched this ball arc into the 1-3, 10 in the pit. Best game started with a ringing 10, and then fired 11 in a row. The first time I had gone 11. This ball worked well for 10 years, and then changes in the oil caused it to be just a little weak. By the time I found a replacement that actually worked, I wasn't finding heavy oil very often anymore. If you've got one of these, clean it resurface it and keep it!

My dad bought this ball when it first came out. He kept it sanded as one of his leagues put out a flood. He could play up 10 and kill the place when there was a flood like this. He gave me the ball in 2004 and I put a thumb slug in to fit my hand and polished it. I just wanted to see if there was any juice left in the ball. This ball was amazing, I could play any part of the lane and carry, but the bes t carry came when I could play around 15 at the arrows and around 5 at the break point. This ball snapped so hard that I would throw messengers all over the place. This is pretty amazing considering my speed and rev rate are not exactly that of Robert Smith. Would still be throwing this if a pinsetter did not destroy it.

this ball is amazing for beginners. I started out with this ball three years ago. I shot 288 with and i still bring it out time to time. Its amazing control. I almost wish Columbia's sales team would put this ball in the market one last time. Put a new shell around it, and watch the public sale. This is one ball that I will never want to get rid of the ball has been plug twice and drilled at least three times, and it still hits and still is control. I would recommend this ball to any one. the control is amazing but not as good as my Radar Lock.

Specs: pins is just below the fingers mass bias is hard to tell, probably out about 2 inches but no more than that would be the best guess. I got this from a center that was using it as a lane ball all beat up I had it resurfaced and polished and it is as good as new... almost! . The ball goes flying past the heads and doesn't hook until it is out of oil then left turn central. Comes back from just about anywhere you put it and it comes back with a vengence, pins get splintered by the power of this ball so much so that I noticed alot of blow outs 4 pins and 4-9 splits. Carry is the only down fall it can be a little tricky 4 pins had real tendency to stand even if I adjusted to them. Carry seemed a little better when I really started pitching the ball out to the right and letting it feed itself back in. I bowled 7 games at two Centers with this ball in open play format, the ball was almost to strong for the condition which is good when I am subing locally my normal equipment is a little

I`ve played with it since i started bowling, i bought it used and never had it drilled for my hand, it`s acctually drilled as a standard ball, Nevertheless, i found it has great characteristics; It`s very controlable, hooks great and hits hard, when it hits the pocket between the 1and 3 you get a strike for sure. People have told me it`s a good ball and i`ll have it polished and drilled correctly for 25 dlls. and will be happy to keep it as MY ball. With the right drilling, i`m sure i`ll have a great striker ball regarthless of it`s 14 lb. (Excuse my english).

best ball that ive ever bowled with like i said above it goes right in to the 1, 3 pocket what else can it do then but to kill all the pins. hits hard goes in at on heck of an angle. this is stupid that you have to write 100 words min. to the programmer that wrote this page just change the field length very easy. put 25 word min that way all you have to change is 100 to 25. that will make it so that if a person dose want to write a paragraph they dont have to.
