I bought this ball from a bowler at a local house a few weeks back for $50. It was drilled leverage with axis balance hole; the bowler's span, bridge, and thumb pitch are identical to my own. I had a new slug installed in my size, and a set of grips installed (middle finger lift, ring finger oval) to match my other balls. According to the previous owner, who won this ball in the Columbus city tournament in 1999, it has never been resurfaced and has many games on it (I've since added 30 or so). On fresh backends, this ball does not work: for me, no amount of adjustment or polish or sand will make it smooth and predictable with no carrydown. As soon as there is a little carrydown (8-12 games in) - when my Road Hawg shows the first signs of playing wet-dry (before the carrydown increases and it will hardly read the lane) - this ball is in it's element. I hit it with 1000 grit abralon, and playing 15 to 8, it rolled a little early, although smoothly, and tracked straight to the pocket (

This is the most reliable ball in my arsenal (still in 2006) controllable hook recovers like mad even if you miss your mark by 10 boards. This thing can swing over half the lane in league play and crushes the pocket. I can float this sanded in a swimming pool or crank it polished when the lanes are like a matchstick. Strikes? Fogettabotit ....all day longz. I plan to take this to every tourament until I am in a casket (or nursing home whichever happens last). I have no complaints about this ball whatsoever EXCEPT..... hrmm.......... They don't make it NEmore.>>>>>>>>>>>THAT SUCKS THAT SUCKS THAT SUCKS.

What more can I say???? This ball has never been improved upon! Mine is drilled stacked leverage - I was fortunate enough to get one with a pin out of 3 3/8" exactly, so the pin, CG, and PAP are all 3 3/8" equidistant of each other, with the pin at about 2:00 just outside my ring finger. I keep it wet sanded at 600 - No matter what the conditions, I can always find a line that works with maximum forgiveness. Seems to always find the pocket like a heat seeking missile! If I miss to the right of target, it never fails to come screaming back with a vengeance - If I miss left, it holds, sets, and snaps - What more could anyone ever ask for ???????

When I got this ball in 98', my average went from 189 to 203 almost immediately. It was the 1st ball I had used that worked equally as well on wood as synthetic lanes! I cashed in several tournaments and couldn't get over how much snap this ball had. This ball has paid for itself over a countless # of times. If I had a new one I would probably still be using it! It has been replaced in my bag now by a new Blueberry Buzzsaw from Lane 1, which has very similar characteristics. If you're a cranker, you have to have a ball like this!
