This is a great bowling ball. Ive seen Parker Bohn III shoot this ball and I absolutely fell in love with this ball when he threw it. I hope that I can get one of my dads Remakes that he has gotten in for his Bowling Supply comapany. Also: If I want to get this ball drilled for heavy oil, lots of backend and good in the Carry-down, how should I drill it? Long maybe? Anyone who wants a tremendous bowling ball should get this ball. In fact, I think that Brunswick should put this ball back on the Market and put it in their Catalogs. Their business would soar if they put this ball back on the market.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that this ball is a legend. Look at the newest line of Brunswick bowling balls today. You still see the Danger Zone's core and PowerKoil18 cover used on their latest equipment. Just not in that combination. Tonight, I shot 720 with this ball during a league I've been struggling in all season. I still don't know what made me pick it up, but I have no regrets here at the end of the night. I played straight up eight during the entire set. Thank goodness I've got another one new and in the box waiting to be punched out when, and if, this current ball ever sees an end for whatever reason. The Danger Zone was the fourth ball ever released from the Zone Series. One difference I've found in the Danger Zone from the other balls in the series is that it is less impacted by dry heads. This ball always has been clean through the front part of the lane for me. Anyway, there is definitely a place for this bowling ball in anyone's arsenal. Thankfull

I got this ball on e-bay for super cheep but I had to put $50 into it for pluging and resurfacing. I only used it for about one game because the house I bowl at uses a very wet 40' top hat pattern. And I had this ball pollished... soooo that didn't work out... But I took it to a turny last weekend and It was the only ball that worked out for the shot.. For five games I shot exactly 1000.... didn't cash But I was happy... I desided to keep this DZ pollished for lighter oil when my other equipment is too over under... I've been strugling on the house shot on munday nights because of the long heavy oil, noting seem to make it to the pocket with much athority.. BUT I started cranking the new DZ and WOW what a reaction.. A very nice ark and movement to the pocket and cleared the rack... shooting 220 with everyone else in league shooking 180's to 200's... What can I say, A good INVESTMENT to have in the bag.... A+ Brunswick... Drilling Is 10:30 control(I'm a lefty)... I had it drilled l

It's hard to find something not to like about this ball. It has never let me down when everything was on the line. PowerKoil 18 was a huge success, this ball is living proof of Brunswick's roots in the bowling industry. PowerKoil 18 is still used in today's zone line, representing everything the danger zone black was all about: Control of the lane and Power at the pins. Total control is how I describe using this ball, I can arc it to the pocket or skid snap it depending on the release. The carry is unbelievable, when it hits the pins, it looks like something not from this planet. Definately a ball ahead of its time. I rarely use this ball, just because i know of its place in my arsenal, and thats when money is on the line. I'm rarely involved in such circumstances, so it usually sits on my ball rack begging me to pick it back up, to show why it still is a legend. 4X3 Layout.

First off I found this ball on E-bay... I took my time and bid at the last minute and won it for $10.50 with 11.23 in shiping... It was already drilled for a lefty but I planed on having it plugged... but when I got it the span was perfect and the thumb just needed one piece of tape.. All I needed was new red grips that fit.. So all I have in it is 30 bucks... I lightly resurfaced the ball, 400 wet sand 600 wet sand 800 wet sand 1000 wet sand 1500 wet sand Then used brunswicks reactive wax with a hand pollisher It lookes like It just came out of the box... Tonight was the first night out with it, infact I put the new grips in while I was in the middle of the first game.. And the first shot was a solid pocket strike... The oil was thick, so thick that most of the guys where throwing gutter shots, I was able to read the lanes perfectly and I adjusted. Ran it down second arrow to the five board started flaring and made a Jolt to the pocket... The axis is right o

Great ball to carry for any league or tournament. Great ball for any tournament arsenal as well as a great ball for a one or two ball league arsenal. I found the carry was best when I played up first or second arrows with minimal swing, but found some conditions that allowed me to move inside and keep the carry. The one thing that keeps this ball from being a ten is that the weight block would slowly break away from the shell of the ball and began reacting like a hollw ball on some shots at the end of it's life

EVERYTHING except for if I hit a flood....The 2nd greatest ball ever invented....I shot my only 300 and my only 700s (until some this season) with this ball...Have had mine since it originally came out....Has never let me down...As consistent as ever... Alas, I must retire the ball...Arm is giving out and I'm dropping to 15 lb equipment....If I could find a new 15 lb danger zone, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.....Well, not anymore...Found the Insite Almighty...what a ball that is!!! This ball is drilled leverage with a little bit of finger weight....it is so forgiving and so controllable.....I can play up the boards when they are wet or flatten up and move inside when dry....Only ever had problem when they were flooded, but that's me....I've never been real good on heavy oil...

i got it drilled up and threw it fresh out the box for the first time in my practice before i started a new league. I threw three games in practice and my scores were mediocre, but once league started everthing CHANGED! My regular average in school league was roughly 144 with my detour, but my average with my zone now is 191. In league i shot a 165-212-200 to average 191. The ball is very much forgiving and knows when and when not to move. (kinda sounds human) I recommend if you can grab one get it.

I picked this ball up off of a house ball rack from a local bowling center that had been sitting there for a couple of weeks. I took it (with the proprietor's permisson) and completely repolished it and got new fingertips and span of which is drilled at two and a quarter off the pin in the leverage position. After I got it retooled for the lanes, I took it out to a Youth Bowlers Tournament for a spin. I entered at the last minute and shot 768(280-242-246) to qualify. I won with a seven game score of 1675 and wowed the crowds with the domination of my division. This ball in the heavy oil is very consistent with smooth backend of which I played up between the first and second arrows. When the lanes dried out, I simply moved oversix boards left and rolled deeper with the DZ. Great ball if you can find it on a rack; it rocks the heavy oil and if you have a 'B' game, it will suit that also. If you like to competitive with a taste of the old school, this is one of the best balls to a

This ball is great for being found on the rack. The ball is a perfect fit for the medium shot after 3 games of league have been bowled on. Can go down and in on fresh and still have the same pin action as u do swinging the lane. The pin is 3in from the cg. the pin is offset of the ring finger of 2in to the right of it. The only thing i did to this ball was resurface it and that was it. The ball works fine pins mix vey well. Im a righty and the first time i used it i didnt have a 10pin for 28 frames. And i shot a 1350 with it 2night for 6 games. Right now move over Icon2 this is now my first ball out of the bag.

I just really liked this ball ever since i stole it from my brother. I had an Apex Aggression before this, but it died on me pretty fast, and now this ball is my favorite. It swings out nice and easy with the powerful sweeping come back that'll leave the pins screaming for their mommy. I rarely leave a corner pin standing with this ball, or stone 8's/9's. This ball isn't really that great on a missed mark, like if you hit a little bit heavy a split could show up, like every other ball. not really that great for the brooklyn strike, but i don't usually need that side anyways. Pretty good for left side spares too, it's predictable and i like it.

The Best Ball Ever! I have A multitude of balls of all different kinds and company's and this ball is the best ball I have thrown. The only time I can't throw this ball is when i am bowling in the sahara desert! I bowl at a fairly high friction wood house and when I got this ball it was fairly dull. Needless to say this ball rolled practically in the air and just went strait! So I thought the ball was dead, it being so old. WRONG I took it home polished it and WOW! First game with it shot 297! Since then i have added many 280's and a 299 with it. I have also been able to use this ball on everything. Sport shot, PBA shots, house shots, wood, synthetic, a combination, short and medium to long and heavy. This ball can (almost) cover it all!

Even though im a kid this balls is so awsome because the backend is powerfull when it hits the pocket. This ball just takes everthing out and leaves nothing. I really like this ball because when i got this ball my average quickly improved from a 165 to a 180 . The backend is so strong when it hits the pocket cause of me revalution that i have on the ball and where i have my ball drilled. I also have a extra air - hole drilled to because it takes the 7 8 9 and 10 out with no problem at all. NEVER USE ON DRY

This ball is arguably one of the best bowling ball ever made. It is a ball that despite the differences in lanes conditions, lanes types, and new technology, this is a ball that has truly withstood the test of time. This is a ball that has a permanent place in my arsenal. From tournament conditions to everday house shots, this ball matches up very well with great pin carry. There are definitely better ball on the market now that match up to more specific types of lane conditions, but if you are looking for a ball that you can carry with you in your arsenal that you can try on a braod spectrum of lane conditions, this is the ball. If you can get your hands on this bowling ball and drill one up, it will not dissappoint.

It's a great ball for the money I paid for it (50.00) from an alley in Hays KS I think it is my best ball I have on reliablity I can count on it to work like magic but don't throw it very much only at tournment mostly because are lanes mess up the balls very ball and I don't what to get it damaged. This ball will go down and make a hard turn on hays and colbys lanes when it's very oily out there I throw it a little to the head pin and let it do it's thing with a little hook at the end so i most of the time get stikes with it over all its great<

At 6 1/2 years old and averaging 185, I was about ready to retire it 4 weeks into the 2002-2003 season until I was talked into getting it resurfaced. Its first game back was 299 and a 781 series, both best ever. 18 games later, my average went from 185 to 208 (ended with 207). It turned back into the ball I bought in 1996. It's been very predictable ball with the best carry I've ever had. If I can find a 15-pounder I'd still use one, but my 16-lb is beginning to make my arm and back uncomfy. Highly recommended if you can find one. I'm actively looking for a 15-lb DZ to replace it.<scrip

I recently bought one online to replace the one that was stolen from my car back in the summer of 2000. I quit bowling when my first Danger Zone was stolen and I bought two other balls in hopes that it would replace it, but they didn't and I quit bowling. I started bowling a few months ago and later learned that a Danger Zone could be purchased online. I refuse to bowl without it. The Danger Zone just destroys the pins when you hit the pocket. Now if I can only find a Teal Rhino to go along with my Danger Zone.

This ball is so versitale and the funny thing about it is when I am not doing good Ill turn around and pull it out after my brother requested about 4-7 times to pull it out Ill just start striking after that.I got mine brand new 16 pounds 1-2 pin and it was about 3 top weight which causes for a "X" hole.My mans Gary drilled it for me and its made to go long but hook earlier than skid snap but hook later than early roll balls very complicated to explain it. To sum it all up its awesome but oil is required other wise..........

Overall this is a sweet ball. Excellent carry down with a strong backend. Clears the rack nicely. I have to be careful however. if I throw it out too far, I get the 10 or 9 standing. In worse cases, a yucky split. Watch out for the lane drying up. This ball might take off on you. IF too oily it has a tendency to skid just a tad. I got this ball on ebay for a reasonable price. This ball is another fine gem from Brunswick. IF you find one, Try to get it. You'll be impressed with it. I strongly recommend checking out the Inferno

Greatest Zone ever....'nuff said. It was a high quality ball that everyone would have liked to have had. I need to find one. If anyone out there knows where I can find a an unused, undrilled Danger Zone or Black Ice, let me know. I would appreciate it. Both are great balls. I had a Danger Zone for 5 years and it never gave me grief. I could throw a multitude of different shots with it and it reacted and hit well. I haven't found a ball that versatile for me personally in a long time. This is a the type of ball that when you need reaction and pin action, this is the one you would have wanted.

I purchased mine used and had it plugged and redrilled. Set for medium hook and long roll. It has shown that in the most difficult of lane conditions to be a good roller. I use it when the lanes are hard to read. It has not let me down and always finds the line to the pins. I have saved my average several times ussing this ball. If you are lucky enough to own one of these balls, don't regard it nonuseful. Clean it up to about 600 grit and put light polish. You will find it very dependable.<scrip

This ball is one the Best of the Best. In it's time it was the best, nothing else compared. You would be at an always and almost every person would have a Danger Zone in their hands or bag. It was the norm. The reason is because this was just a great ball. It reacted very well to lane conditions and it had great carry through the pins. It hit the pocket with dominance and almost nothing could touch it. The only exception I can think of is the 3-D Violet offset, which happnes to be one of my fav. all time balls as well. Back to the Zone. If you bought this zone you were definately "in the zone" with this. Averages were soaring because of the great reaction this ball was giving. If you can still find this ball in good shape today, I would definately pick it up, because they don't make them like this anymore. Because of todays lane conditions it may not be best for oily lanes. But, medium oil, WOW will this tear things up. My hats off to Brunswick for this ball. No other zone beats this o

I just bought this ball used and I plugged it and redrilled it @ 12 oclock with my ring finger over the pin, the pin is 1" out. This ball got more length then I expected. I was standing on the last dot and throwing it over the middle arrow to the one board and I was still hittin way to high. This ball is good for a house that has alot of oil. This ball hooks alot but it would get to much length on heavy oil so it would be smart to take some 1200 grit to it because mine is polished. The other good thing about this ball is that it hits hard. So if you are looking for a ball that has alot of length and a VERY hard snap here is a good ball
