This ball was a workhorse in the old days. It was the type of ball that I could use on all but the driest lanes. No matter how wet the lanes were, this "rock" could get a grip on the lanes. However, after taking a few years off, I came back, and now on synthetic lanes, it has very little turn anymore. I can still get it to turn a few boards, but I have to really crank the heck out of it now. I still keep it around, just in case I ever hit a set of wood lanes. But I haven't used it since I got an X-Factor and X-Factor deuce.

I bought this ball a little more than 20 years ago, as of the time of this review. It immediately added 15 pins to my average in the league I was in at the time. Over the years it has served me well and, despite long periods of inactivity due to injury or life circumstances, it continues to do so. Being a lefty, if there's oil on the lanes, more of it is on my side, and this ball moves well and consistently through it. It tends to hook a little too much on drier lane conditions or if I'm after a seven pin and have to roll through the righties' track. It's not a very pretty ball, and I take some hassle about using such an "antique" when I bowl with friends, but I take comfort in the fact that when I find my line I just blow them away.
