Brunswick Inferno Bowling Ball

Every Urethane (Conventional and Reactive is made by combining a liquid polyol and a liquid isocyanate to make a solid urethane polymer. Brunswick has gone back to these foundations and developed a totally new polyol, combined with a radically new Liquid Crystal Isocyanate and Additive system in order to create Activator, a new Advanced Reactive material. Activator coverstocks features a layered molecular structure that improves both coverstock durability and overall ball reaction. By design, the Activator material can be formulated to independently control the ball's traction in the oil and reaction to the dry. This ability to control the Traction/Friction Response has been used to fine tune the Activator coverstock to match up with a new Ultra-Low Rg core creating the Inferno, a ball with unparalleled characteristics from the foul line to the pit. Inferno Advantages: In the front-ends: The Inferno's Activator coverstock is cleaner through the fronts, saving more reaction for the

I have mine drilled 4 1/4" x 4 1/2", pin out is 2-3" top weight is 3oz. This ball can be used on almost every shot on the lanes. For a drier shot, if you can't swing it or speed it up, then you'll have to put it away. On heavier oil, you can play straight up if you have to. This ball isn't the best on carrydown, so if oils goes long pick something else. I took the pearl factory polish off of my ball. The only big difference is not as flippy on the backs. Hits harder than anything I've ever thrown or seen either. For me the pins go everywhere sending wood to parts unknown. I've never had a strike with this ball where the pins were kept low.

What an interesting ball Brunswick has put together ! To best describe the way it reacts on the lane would be’” smooth “. On a first shift league shot with clean backends this ball is absolutely amazing in how easy it gets down the lane then rolls up. The hit is really hard and crisp, sometimes a little to hard leaving solid 9 pins in its wake. I Have found that those light off pocket hits really carry the best as compared to packing the pocket. Towards the end of the second game into the third game where carry down starts to rear its ugly presence, I found that I could continue to use the Inferno by moving right instead of the usual inside shift to open the lane up, the smooth even roll made it possible to play outside down the 5 board with great confidence knowing I would not be saddled with massive over/under. I drilled mine with a stacked leverage layout, 3 3/8 x 3 3/8, came close to a full ounce of side weight after punched. Pin and CG shifted out away from my grip c

This ball was drilled under the pin so it wasn't that strong. I play on a medium-light wood house shot most of the time. I stand on either 22 right foot (right handed) and send it to the 10 board or stand on 12 and send it to the 4 board and into the pocket it goes and carries great. But with this weak of drilling will not hook on medium to heavy oil on synthetics how ever. I recommend this ball, its very versital and you can play many lines if some aren't working for you. Can be a strong ball if you drill it to be. If you drill it weak, it does have a nice arc instead of a skid and snap making it much more controllable then my other one.<sc

Once i figured out how this ball would work best for me it turned out to be a great ball. The new activator coverstock Works really well. It keeps the soft surface of the ball from tracking out too quickly. Bowling 3 tournaments on wood lanes and it still doesn't need to be resurfaced. Great ball for extreme conditions, watch out for the over-under conditions with this ball though. Drilling for ball is more of an even-arc drilling. Ball still reacts really strong. For average bowler would recomment and lengthy drill pattern. 100 words for an overall review is rediculous.

Awesome ball! Except for my inconsistent release, I was really pleased with the way the ball handled 'swing shots' and straight down and in across the 7 board. I would recommend this ball to those serious about hook and playing in tournaments! I am ready to throw this on a house shot and see how well I can 'walk the dog'! This should be interesting considering the hook I was getting on the ABC tourny shot! I'll let you know! So long as you have oil and you like a strong backend 'snap', you will love this ball! Unless you are partial to a particular brand, giev it a try, you will probably like it!

The Inferno is an awesome ball from Big B. Mine is drilled with a stack leverage drilling with a 4.5 inch pin. The pin is located about an inch above and to the right of my ring finger. Weigh hole is right next to my PAP. The Inferno clears the heads with absolute ease. There is no need to worry abour forcing this one. Get it off the hand and it will hit your target. Very smooth in this regard. In the midlane is where you will see the Inferno start to come alive. The Inferno wants to rev up and in the mid lane and starts its hard-arching type of move towards the back end. The move is strong and precise. No over-under here. In the back end, the Inferno gets it all right. Smooth and powerful. When the ball hits the pins, the pins are literally swept off the deck. The word "vacuum" comes to mind. :-) The balls hits like a truck and just keeps on coming. No stop in hooking and vitually no over-under in my experience. (Your mileage may vary.) The ball is literally

Drilled this one up using Brunswicks 2L drilling pattern. I wanted a semi-delayed hook without the ball rolloing out. At first I had trouble with the oil on the outside boards, but once I figured out that all I needed to do was to hit up on the ball a little more I was rewarded with great carry. Hit the pocket anywhere with this ball and you will carry 90%+ of the time. I believe this ball may be to much for dry conditions. But it doesn't matter how oily the lanes are this ball will come up at the end. Don't get me wrong, this ball is not an overhooking ball. But it can be too much on the drier conditions for some. I am now into my 5th month using this ball and still have to look hard to see the track on the ball. And I bowl on wood lanes Honestly I do not know if I could handle the Raging Inferno that is coming out soon. This ball will come up from any line.

As a high-velocity, low-rev stroker, I was looking for an aggressive ball with a strong back end to improve my angle and destroy my nemesis, the 5 pin. I had been using Ebonite's V2 (sanded) which was very reliable with a great hook, but it rolled too early and didn't drive through the deck for me. It also required a lot of maintenance to keep the surface just right. I couldn't be more pleased with the Inferno's ability to fill my needs. This ball has added three boards to my hook, all on the back end. It creates a great angle and drives hard through the pins. I can't remember leaving a 5 pin on a pocket hit since I got it. The activator cover stock is amazing, with incredible recovery using the box finish. This means less maintenance. The only downside to this ball is that small variations in axis tilt and rotation are magnified, and it also runs away on drier lanes. Still, it mixes the pins well on off pocket hits, so it often gives back what it takes away. Overall a

Ball went to long for me, i like a early rolling ball that will finish without rolling out. This is a true skid - snap ball. would probably fit for the down and in style bowlers out there. also a good ball to carry for a specific condition ( sport shots ). Did not work well for me on the house shot i bowl on every week and my tourny arsenal is full so i canned this baby! Hope this review does not scare any would be buyers away, it may work for you, it just does not fit in my game right now. <sc
