Brunswick Blazing Inferno Bowling Ball

(44 reviews) Write a Review
The Blazing Inferno is a higher RG version of the original Inferno. Even though the inner core shape is the same as the Inferno, 1.17 pounds of weight have been moved from the inner core to the outer core. This shift in weight results in a significantly more cover heavy ball. The RG-min of the Blazing Inferno is 0.068” higher and the RG-diff is 0.017” lower than the original Inferno. This change in mass distribution allows the Blazing Inferno to be a better match-up when reduced traction through the heads and the mid-lane are desired. Compared to your original Inferno: -The Blazing Inferno will match-up better to drier lane conditions and shorter patterns. -The Blazing Inferno will match-up better to lane surfaces that are in less than ideal condition. -The Blazing Inferno will match-up better for bowlers who struggle with early ball reaction. Brunswick’s new Activator Coverstock has quickly established a reputation for excellence in ball reaction, durability and longevity of

I have owned this ball for a few years. I bowled a bunch of great games with this ball. Although it has a nice snap as compared to the ultimate inferno that it would split time with for me, I wouldn't consider it an extremely late breaking ball. When bowling from the middle or right side this ball does really well for me. I like this ball for striking as well as picking up the old ten pin. 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words100 words 100 words 100 words 100 words

had the ball drilled weak for drier lanes. sometimes tended to pick up a lot earlier than i expected it. usually forgiving if you hit it too much. gotta hav an almost perfect angle for it to carry. Helped me make a few key spares when i needed them the most..if anything keep it low in the pocket. will mix pins. not a bad ball for an accident. keep it around your mark and its gold. great ball for 170-180 bowlers. dont use on heavily oiled lanes. will not work. keep polished for best results. could work on med/ hvy lanes if taken down in grit.<sc

This ball has been a great addition to my arsenal of equipment. This ball alone has helped me raise my average 30 plus pins over the past 2 years. The control of this ball and predictability are amazing. This ball always seems to drive hard in the pocket and just carries its strength from start to finish. This ball rolls smooth and has never rolled out for me. I'm lucky I got this ball before it was discontinued. I absolutely love it. Over the past 2 years I have shot 1 300, 2 290's and several mid 700 series that include 762, 772, and 798 just recently. All from using the Blazing Inferno all night long.

I would suggest this ball to anyone!! To bad they discontinued it. I would buy another one in a second!!! It is the coolest looking ball I have rolling down the lane. The red and yellow go awsome together. I can throw it way outside, or play fifth arrow (had to in a regional tournament, shot 700). Will keep this one in my bag for a long time! No real dislikes except when I miss throw it, it dosen't seem to want to get to the pocket. But, that is all my fault. I will be buying the Smokin Inferno next!!

This ball is by far the best ball I have ever owned. This coverstock is so versatile, it can play on almost anything. Good consistent core compliments coverstock. Got ball drilled for control, and its still amazing how versatile this ball is. I have played on lanes where there is literally almost zero oil, and I have played on soaked lanes, and lane in horrible condition, and I can always turn back to this ball when all else fails. Never had a complaint about it. Haven't tried any other balls with Activator coverstock, but this ball encourages me to get my hands on everyone I can, and has turned me into a Brunswick fan.

This ball is amazing. My coach wasn't too sure it would suite the way I bowl but I said I wanted to try it out, boy I'm glad I did. After some minor adjusments to my wrist action I am now bowling consistant 175-185+ up from about 140-150. My overall view of this ball is if you are looking for a ball which has a lot of back end action that you can control with very minor adjustments then look no further cos you will not bet dissapointed. I picked up my ball on ebay brand new undrillied for just $75 including shipping.

Awesome ball with great carry through. Decent hook with factory polish and great pin action carried quite a few strikes for me. I throw a 15 pounder and started trying to throw a little harder until this ball was added to my arsenal. I now throw more for fluidity and consistency, which, made a huge difference in my game. It's true this ball can make you a lot better! Out of my first 5 games I was able to raise my average by 30 pins. 30 PINS!!. Same approach and release as before but with this ball, better results. Get this ball while it lasts..best $50.00 youll ever spend.

This is a great ball from the brunswick company, my first non storm ball in a few years. My friends recently purchashed the classic zone which has the same activator coverstock, but i don't think that those balls hit near as hard as this blazing inferno. Try to keep it on medium/medium light oil because the hook on this ball can be out of this world. The hook at the end is definately a snap, and tends to carry fairly well for me. Haven't really had a major 10 pin problem with it, but who's to say thats not coming.

I got this ball after all my equipment was stolen in March of 04. My Ball driller wasn't sure it would be a good choice for me, but it was. Ball Specs: 16Lbs 2"-3" Pin Lay Out: Leverage Pin under ring finger CG kicked out Balance whole in line with CG For a period of time this ball was my absolute favorite and usually my number 1 choice out of my bag. This ball has a very consistent roll, it's very readble, very easy to make adjustments with. Usually I play anywhere from 13 to 5 with this ball. If there is a heavy concentration of oil it will just slide for me, but if it's wet/dry, or medium to medium-dry, this ball is a monster. Crushes the pins when it reaches the deck. I love this ball so much that I have another one sitting in my closet for the day that the one I have drilled up stops working :) This ball can be somewhat difficult on extreme dry, but if you have the revs and the speed you can control it and make it work. I would definately recommend thi

i got this ball for a total price of $50.00 at my local pro-shop. Can play pretty much any where right of 21. Ball was drilled like this: o ..................O O ....................CG ....................O This ball arcs quite a bit. I really like this one. You know who the best band ever is........ Led Zeppelin. Yep I really like how Jimmy Page plays guitar and Robert Plant's vocals sound. John Paul Jones is a great bass player and John Bohnham is a really good drummer. Bye bye for now. Hmmm stupid word count. Hmmm. what to type what to type. la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la.<scr

So far with this ball ive managed to up my average about 75 pins. Im staying pretty consistent shooting this ball along with my big blue. The Blazing inferno is one crazy ball i might add, i have mine drilled for maximum back end snap and it does just that. Ive learned that if you loft the ball out about 7-9 ft in the air :), and give it a ton of spin it'll almost throw its self at a 90 degree turn it seems like. But this ball is very controllable in most respect. The only problem i have seen that i am learning to adapt to is being able to let the ball do the work and not try and over power it or under power it, just let the ball work itself, and it seems to work out ok for me. suprisingly when i bought the ball i was told that it would be best for medium dry to medium lane conditions, well as of right now I put a lot of rpm's on the ball and not to much speed and therefore the ball just runs on me like crazy. So ive been trying to get the ball in some oil and it does great things for

This is an excellent ball but not quite what I anticipated. I had expected this ball to be my go to for light oil...yet it has a stronger backend than either the Inferno or Absolute Inferno! I polished the ball up to try to lessen its hook and even had a negative balance hole put in but the reaction is as strong as ever. This is not necessarily a bad thing, just not what I expected. The angle of entry is really sharp, which tends to cause a lot of ten pin leaves, but when I flatten the ball out, it works like a charm. I would not reccommend this ball for light or even light-medium oil, unless you have the the least aggressive drilling possible. I used drilling 2e on the drilling sheet and, as I stated, had a small negative balance hole put in to control the hook.

I wanted to try to throw an Inferno. Normally, Brunswick balls turn too much for me. When I saw this one I took a shot. I drilled it for early turn, so it would fill a hole in arsonel, the pin is 2" from PAP. The CG is 1/2" rt. from center of grip.(I'm a righty) I took it out on a second shift shot that was toast 13 board out. The ball was great if I kept it in oil. Nice little roll up to pocket and carry was good. But if I floated it out to dry...BOOM. This Ball do hook! Too dry too early and too much hook. Typical Brunswick (for me). However, this is the best ball I've had in years for reading the lanes. It has become my new benchmark ball. You can throw it and see the oil line immediately. If its too dry, go to different ball NOW. I can horse it out, but reaction and carry suffer. Fits a niche. Worth having one or two.

This ball is what someone would use on a bone dry condition! or a short sportshot/PBA pattern. I got this from my boss Dave! and the pin is underneath the ring and the cg is kicked to the right... with a weight hole on the right. If there is a heavy amount of oil, this ball just glides... but once it hits a dryspot, it jets off!!!!!!great carry! love it! i cant wait till i get a short pattern on saturday morning sport shot! but it will stay in the tote for tourneys only. its one of my "extremes".

This ball is great. I have it maxed out and it hooked on heavy oil. It also works on dry lanes, I just play straight up the boards. You can use this ball on any condition. I use it on my Berlin Bowl Sport League and the JBT shots. Watch out for carrydown and corner pins. This ball is great. I have it maxed out and it hooked on heavy oil. This is my second review for this ball and since then i learned so much about it. Right now im throwing it at Shore Lanes for High School and ive been only using this ball. I shot a 625 on monday without even thinking...a pretty good series for a hell of a ball. This ball hooks the least in the inferno series yet it seems to roll the nicest. Its predictible, easy to take care of, and is just an excellent addition to my arsenal. It has great length and even works on heavy oil conditions by playing the ends. I know three people from carolier lanes in new brunswick that have thrown a 300 with it recently and two of the three threw an 800 series. They all say the same thing..."This is best ball ive ever thrown". Now since brunswick discontinued it no one gets to see how good this ball is on this website. Well i hope everyone reads this review. Go out and the ball for low $85 price that has inferno performance. If you like any of the infernos your going to love this one as well. Everyone go

Not sure why this ball was discontinued. After seeing the reactions my friends had with their Infernos (an Intense and a regular Inferno), I decided to order up a Blazing, now that is discontinued. What a value. This ball hooks every bit as much as my friends Intense Inferno. I ordered the same top weight and pin as him, and had the same drill pattern used (obviously his span is different). Ball is drilled aggressively with a balance hole. On heavy oil I don't use this ball, but is good for just about any other condition. If you want an Inferno, and don't want to pay top dollar, I'd definately recommend this one.

The ball has a 1:30 drill. Pin is above ring finger and over to the right a little. cg kicked out about an inch to the right of mid line. The core is already cover heavy and the cover is a high polish. Maybe I could have drilled the ball more aggressive, but I have a medium condition ball already. I wanted this for light conditions. I am trying to move to 15 pounds due to a back condition so this gives me the opportunity to buy new balls. I always wanted to try an inferno but I love my XFactor too much. I always thought that Storm balls were too jumpy for light oil. I felt the Blazing Inferno might be perfect. The write-up from Brunswick says that the ball should be skid/flippy. Maybe it's the drilling but my ball is not skid/flip at all. The ball gets through the heads easily. When it hits the dry backends the ball starts to arc toward the pocket. It drives right through the pins. The hit and carry are great. If I get it to the pocket it's a strike, no question. I tried swinging the

After 2 or 3 games in my league, my eraser boost would go high on me. This is when I start to use the blazing. I love the way it revs so quickly, even for a medium RG ball. What I really like is the late reaction. The ball never hooks too early. I love the activator coverstock, it is amazing! When the lanes get drier, I just throw the ball faster and works just as well. The ball could recover on any part of the lane. I like the ball the best on a spotty medium condition. It has oil for the ball to go down the lane and dry for it to come back. I recommened this ball for crankers who have trouble with drier lanes. UPDATE #1 (Durability) After having the blazing inferno for about a year I found that the ball needs to be repolished often to still perform as advertised. This ball tracks up very easily which is why it needs to be polished. It still works like a charm like the day I got it. I would imagine this happening to any ball with the activator coverstock. The ball

I drilled this ball to go long and break hard. I use it on synthetic and wood lanes. i play many shots and no matter wat i always bowl over 600(series).I'm still young and i'd say i bowl pretty well w/ this ball. I reccomend that the more experienced bowler should get this ball. Even though i put many revs on this ball.i got this abll a while ago but it still rolls like i jus got it. Not to mention i like the color on this ball.this ball is very, very, very, very, very good to me.

Ive thrown the original and the Raging Inferno. The first one was an excellent hitting ball. It didnt snap too much and it held on medium conditions. This ball i like a bit better because it has more of a snaping reaction. Even though the ball goes longer than the inferno it snaps right back with a skid-snap type of roll. This type of reaction is dangerous when missing your mark but if you are on the money it WILL be a strike. I had mine drilled with the pin over the ring finger stacked with the cg. If you want a ball that snaps more than the inferno than this is it. But if your looking for the Blazing Inferno too hook less then put the pin in between the middle and ring ringer holes and stack the cg. I threw mine for the first time at Carolier Lanes. It did very well on synthetic. The only thing that blew my games is a couple of splits.

I bought this ball for exactly what it says it would do...hook less than the Inferno. Get through the heads easier and be more suited for drier lane conditions. Being a slow semi-cranker I was looking for a good drier lane ball. This is that and more! Ball outperforms the Inferno by a lot. Rolls better, carries better. It hooks more than I thought but by no means is it NOT a dry lane ball. You can throw this in the track with no overreaction. The carry is phenominal. Too bad it's being phased out cause it has no competition when it comes to dry!!

The Blazing Infero is the ball if you want Light Oil. This ball has great pin carry. Im flying pins left and right and still leave 10 pins. If you hit your make in the right spot the ball will hit like a TANK.The Blazing Inferno is not a ball Heavy oil patterns the ball will just skid to the 6 pin not grip the lane. I leave soild 9 pins wit this ball i never ever left the many 9 pins wit a new ball before. Buy This ball if you like Brunswick equipment, but if u dont like brunswick equipment u should try this ball out.

Highly recommend this ball to anyone having a problem with the ball hooking too early. All of equipment is pretty aggressive and by the 3rd game I was really finding it difficult to hit the pocket. Ball rolled nice and long...held its line over all 3 games with maybe a 5 board move by the start of game 3. This ball will add 10 pins to your average for those burnt out over three games typical house shots. This ball will not do anything on heavy oil; I have a raging inferno for heavy oiled lanes. Good luck and good bowling!!
