The Rocket A.I. builds on a name bowlers have trusted since 2015, when the original Rocket became a go-to in the Thunder line for its easy length and strong downlane motion. This version is dialed in for today’s medium to dry lane conditions, offering stability through the front of the lane and a defined, responsive backend motion. The proven Booster Core returns, now enhanced with A.I. Technology, and pairs with the advanced A1S Pearl Reactive coverstock to boost forgiveness and improve carry. As Jason Belmonte puts it, “When the lanes get a little toasty we need bowling balls that are designed to create more length and later ball motion… It will send your scores to the moon.”

Another great belmonte ball. I am a super fan of the belmonte line. I know it will always be clean in the front and pop on the back. This one doesn't disappoint. Reminds me of the Timeless bowling ball. I love the shape this ball makes...

Storm Rocket A.I Booster Core updated with A.I. technology with the very "responsive" coverstock the updated A1S pearl coverstock and finished with Storm Power Edge, but I use it with a 3000 grit surface. My Specs: Rev rate 420’s, ball speed 15.3 to 15.8 mph off the hand, axis tilt of 16 degrees and axis rotation of 70 degrees, PAP is 3 13/16th up 1/8th. Tested on Pro-lane surface on a 43ft medium volume house pattern and 45 and 46ft sport pattern. The layout is 4 X 4 ½ X 3. As the song goes: Rocket,,, Yeah! The next BELMO signature ball is here, the Rocket A.I.. After testing some months ago, Storm’s R&D team came up with this great combo with Jason Belmonte. Using the very popular core from a few years ago, the Booster core, they updated it with the A.I. outer core technology and updated the coverstock to match the more volume and more viscosity conditioners that are being used now. Seeing that I was missing a ball in my 6 ball traveling arsenal, I drilled up the Rocket A.I. with the idea that it would be a full step up in length and strength from my Transformer that is drilled through the Morph wing. I was really surprised by how sharp the backend of the Rocket A.I. over my Phaze II Pearl. After trying the ball over the course of a few games, the A1S coverstock was too aggressive for me in the backend on the sport patterns and a smidge stronger than what I was looking for on the house pattern. Went into the ABC North Pro Shop and had the team hit the surface with fresh 3000 grit VISE INSERTS pads and cleaned it up with Storm Reacta Wipers and went back to the lanes and gained what I was looking for, more control in the dry COF on the back ends of the lane panels and lessen the sharp angle the ball had entering the pocket, that was very strong for my “eyes” were looking for. DON’T be afraid to change the surface of this pearl coverstock. It gave me a more versatile look in the back part of the pattern and backend. Thanks to my two pro shop teams at ABC North Lanes in Harrisburg, and Bowlers’ Supply in York. #SquadRG #3GShoes #ViseInserts #Coolwick

The Rocket AI is the AI version of the Rocket! The Rocket was a slower smoother high rg ball. The addition of “AI” ramps up the Rocket Core into and very predictable and fast rev’ving clean snappy ball. The Rocket AI features the Equinox cover which is a medium strength pearl. This cover handles a little more oil than you would expect making the Rocket AI a great choice for a multitude of patterns. You can use the Rocket AI on most fresh patterns as long as it’s not too short and definitely use it during transition or dry! The Rocket AI is one of the better Belmo balls of recent and I’m able to use it on a lot more conditions!

The Rocket A.I. is formulated by adding the A1S pearl coverstock to a modified Booster Core. Layout 40 x 4 3/4 x 70 PAP: 5 5/8 over and 5/8 up Weight: 14lbs The ball needs friction. When I’m on a fresh house shot, this ball seems to labor. Once transition hits, I feel like this is where this ball shines. This ball has easy length for me and more backend when the Monsoon isn’t enough. The best way to describe this ball, think of a stronger hustle wine.

Over ten years ago, Storm introduced the first “Rocket” that lived in the Thunder line and it was known for length and motion down-lane. As lane beds get older and we continue to adapt to high friction surfaces, these types of pieces are becoming more common in league and tournament bags. Starting with the sharp minds at Storm and partnering with Jason Belmonte becomes the Rocket AI, giving us updated technology and performance that we haven’t seen before. Under the hood is the Booster Core, but it’s wrapped with the A1S Pearl Reactive Coverstock which helps with forgiveness and carry. With an RG of 2.53 and a differential of .048, those numbers tell me this ball wants to clear the front, store energy, and create some nice angle before it hits the pins. I’ve drilled one so far and really like it. It’s mapped out as 5.5 x 3.5 x 2.5. This puts the pin above my bridge with a sizeable shift of the CG, and I’ve left the surface alone (factory finish out of the box). It’s been a perfect piece to go to when my Ion Solid or Vengeance are done working. If I need to move my feet left, create angle, and finish a block strong, the Rocket AI is a perfect ball to use. Go drill one! #StormNation

The new Rocket AI from Storm brings back a classic from the past and gives it an update to tackle today’s conditions. The Rocket AI features the Booster AI core and wraps it in A1S Pearl reactive coverstock finished with Power Edge. At 15 pounds the Rocket AI has a medium RG of 2.53 and a medium differential of .048. I drilled this ball 5x5x2 which puts the pin above my bridge. This ball nicely fits right into my arsenal and fills quite a gap. I have been needing something to go to when the lanes really start to hook in the front part of the lane. The Rocket AI is that ball. It is very clean through the heads and even the midlane and has a strong quick reaction on the backend. This combination provides excellent pin action and carry. The Rocket AI is the perfect ball when I need something a little stronger than the IQ AI or the Monsoon but something a little cleaner than the Phaze II Pearl. The Rocket AI allows me to play further inside with steeper angles than the other lower RG balls such as the IQ or Monsoon. If you are a tournament bowler, make sure you get this ball to fill that gap in your bag!

Storm Rocket Coverstock: A1S Pearl Reactive Finish: Power Edge Core: Booster Core with A.I. (14 pd) RG: 2.54 Differential: 0.050 Layout: 5 ½ x 5 x 3 - 2LS Layout Extras: 2 1/8 Finger Depth, “X” - 4 ½ D and 1 inch Left Tester: PAP 6 1/2 R, 1 1/4 D Review: The Rocket features the A1S Pearl Reactive coverstock that offers easy push through the front part of the lane. The Booster Core with A.I enhances control and forgiving motion off the spot. For me, the results and comfort of this ball have been outstanding. So far, I have been most impressed with off hits that have tended to carry when least expected. In comparison to my Storm Monsoon the Rocket reserves it’s energy for later down the lane. Also, I have only rolled both of these balls on house type conditions and neither have required or warranted surface adjustments. To note, at Pure It we did do a longer type of drilling for my Rocket and I’m very content with this adjustment from my standard layouts. Also, being from the east coast most lane beds are simply getting older and built in friction is becoming a standard. For me, I am really enjoying what the Rocket has offered in terms of allowing me to keep my angles a bit tighter for most THS conditions. Also, the Rocket allows me to use various hand positions to easily enhance what I want to do. In addition, if a lot of traffic is occurring in the same area of the lane I’m playing the Rocket has been showing up where adjustments and being able to stay in this ball have been easy to do. I was extremely excited to hear that the Rocket series was returning, because I had a lot of success with the Sky Rocket back in the day. Luckily the Rocket AI has a similar ball motion to that ball, and it fits perfectly into the Storm lineup. Easy length, a strong yet not quite “flippy” backend, and incredible entry angle all define this ball. I find it best to use on medium to medium-dry conditions, and when it truly gets to the medium-dry part of the night, this ball can really go coast-to-coast if needed. I use this ball when my Roto Grip Gremlin Tour-X is starting to read the fronts a bit too early.

The Storm Rocket A.I. has been a really impressive piece for me so far. It gets through the front part of the lane effortlessly and gives me a very clean look without feeling too jumpy downlane. What stands out most is how predictable the motion is — it stores energy well and still continues hard through the pins once it sees friction. For me, this ball really shines once the lanes start transitioning or when stronger pieces begin to burn up too early. I can stay in the same area longer without feeling like the ball quits or overreacts. The backend motion is strong enough to carry corners, but smooth enough that I feel confident throwing it shot after shot. Overall, I’d say the Rocket A.I. is a great option for medium to drier conditions or as a step-down ball later in a block. If you like clean length with a controlled but continuous backend motion, this one is definitely worth trying.

The newest Belmo collaboration from Storm is the Rocket AI which is a remake of the original Rocket that was released in 2015. The new Rocket A.I. has been added to the Thunder Line which places it at lower price point than the previous Belmo collaborations. I never threw the original Rocket which had R2S on the cover and the Booster core. The new Rocket A.I. features the same symmetrical Booster core, but Storm added Amplified Inertia (A.I.) to it which lowers the RG slightly from the original Rocket. For the 15 pounder, the RG is 2.53 and differential is 0.048. The new Rocket A.I. has the A1S Pearl reactive coverstock which is the same cover as the Equinox and the Hyroad 40, so it’s supposed to be a pretty clean and angular cover. This ball is meant for later in the block as the fronts burn up and you need something to push through the front. I drilled mine 4.5 x 3.5 x 1.5 to make it pretty responsive. I threw it on house pattern for league and was surprised that it didn't over skid on higher volume and didn't bounce as hard off the dry. I then threw it on the 2026 46' PBA Regional pattern and was again surprised that it did read the lane (as long as I kept my speed slow). The cover definitely floats through the front part of the lane, but the AI core helps it read the midlane while still providing strong down lane motion. It's not crazy angular (i.e. hockey stick shape), but it's definitely "swoopy" on the back end. So I feel like this is a pretty versatile piece that will fit at the bottom of your middle bag of your arsenal. When the fronts start to burn up and you need something to get through the front and not be over responsive/bouncy, Rocket A.I. would be a good choice. I'd say it's similar shape as IQ AI, just more overall hook.

Introducing the Storm Rocket AI built to dominate medium oil volume conditions. The A1S Pearl Reactive coverstock creates sharp backend motion on medium oil. Where the Monsoon reads the midlane with its solid cover, the Rocket A.I. pushes longer and snaps harder at the breakpoint. It has a Radius Weight Block — with a 2.53 RG and 0.048 differential at 15 lbs. I am speed dominant, average rev rate 250-275ish, low-medium tilt and medium rotation. I drilled mine 35x4.5x30. My axis point is 4 3/8 over 1 3/8 up. This ball is good for me in later game blocks when I need something clean and strong!Go get yours at your local Storm VIP shop today! #StormNation #sm2proshop #Deviousbowling

The Rocket was one of my all-time favorite balls (including the scent) as when I first started using Storm Products. I tended to stick to the lower lines, so the Rocket AI was a no brainer. The ball has the same RG value as the Monsoon but the diff is a touch higher and you can definitely see it in the ball motion. I have only been able to use this ball a couple times but I know it will come in handy in some upcoming tournaments where the lanes tend to transition very quickly and as Belmo mentioned “get a little toasty”.

I have been practicing with my newly drilled Rocket AI. The Rocket AI responds great early in the session and even as the lanes breakdown. This ball gives me clean move through the fronts with great motion in the backend but allowing maximum control. The Rocket AI will get heavy use for me as I head onto the PWBA Tour this summer. Head to your nearest pro shop and get one drilled you wont be disappointed.

My Storm Rocket AI with the 4 x 5 x 5 2LS layout has been a great transition ball for me. It gives me the length I want, a smooth read through the middle, and a strong but controllable backend. It’s one of those pieces I can rely on when things get tricky, and I don’t want to guess what the ball is going to do. For me, it's a go-to option when I need clean length and a confident move down lane without overreaction.

If you were a fan of the original rocket, then you need to get your hands on this brand new Rocket AI. The booster core is back and it is wrapped in A1S pearl coverstock, which gives this ball the length and pop off the spot that you have been looking for since 2015. This will be a staple in the bag when the lanes start to transition and you cant get a ball through the front part of the lanes. Get down to your local pro shop and pick this ball up, you wont be disappointed.

Rocket A.I. is a much-needed addition SPI lineup! This piece provides a significantly longer/cleaner option to balls like the Phaze 2 Pearl and RockStar Amped, and at a great price point! This reintroduction of a Storm classic really fills out my bag for league on those blended house shots, and gives me an option for late in the block on tougher/flatter conditions as well. This one is straightforward, classic Storm bowling--clean and angular with a nice long window of usability on medium oil and even as the lanes dry out.

Layout: 4 x 4 x 2 1/2 Surface: Power Edge Rev Rate: 470 Tilt: 13* The Rocket AI is the newest ball in the Thunder Line. The Booster Core was brought back from the original Rocket series but enhanced with AI technology and paired with the A1S Pearl coverstock found on the Equinox Pearl. This combination gives easy length and a fairly angular backend motion. Designed for medium oil conditions, this will be a great step-down ball when the lanes start to hook and opening up the lane is desired. There is a higher RG value and differential which will put it a step above the Typhoon in terms of overall hook potential. This combination fills a gap that has been missing in the Storm lineup for some time. The Rocket AI is designed for transition and there would be better fresh options to buy such as the Monsoon. Similar core numbers with a solid coverstock makes it more ideal. For me, the Rocket AI is actually a great step down from the monsoon. When I have to move further left with my feet to create a cleaner and more angular reaction, this is my go-to ball. When the volume is a little lower and I want a ball to get through the fronts easier, this is my go-to ball. I recommend this ball to anyone looking for a transition ball off a symmetrical solid piece. It is likely too weak to ball down off of an Asymmetrical solid. This ball again would be ideal for transition or late games in a longer block especially when asymmetrical pearls are too strong.

This provides a clean but stable reaction that is going to be perfect for blending out higher friction lane surfaces. The Rocket AI is the perfect 1-2 league punch with the Monsoon. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: I got more ball than I expected in the new Rocket AI. The hook and hit are much better than I imagined they would be. This ball is not really being pushed as a Belmo Series ball, and the combined logo engraving gets you around the college limit of logo rules which I think is silly. I guess rules are rules. This ball is versatile and should fit most types of bowlers regardless of their style. I have been using this ball in my league and a local tournament and normally can stay with it three games or more and adjustments are very easy to make as the pattern breaks down. I have really been impressed with how the Rocket AI hits and carries. I believe this is because of how it stores energy for the back part of the lane. The Rocket AI has a nice angular motion even when moving deeper inside. I would call the Rocket AI a medium ball with excellent back-end movement. The Rocket AI fits under my Ion Max Pearl but above my Typhoon in total hook. I recommend this ball to anyone who wants a medium / medium plus benchmark ball with a strong back end. I don’t think you can go wrong with a Rocket AI in your bag especially at its value price point. Summary: The Rocket AI is an excellent ball for all types of styles. The way the Rocket AI moves on the back provides hard hit and excellent carry. This ball is a must have at the price point giving a lot of performance for the dollar. When the lanes get a little toasty, this is the one I throw! The Storm Rocket AI has quickly become one of my favorite balls to throw because of how clean and explosive it feels downlane. For me, it gets through the front part of the lane effortlessly without burning up too early, then makes a strong but controllable move once it sees friction. I’ve noticed it really shines when the lanes start to transition because I can trust it to keep energy and still drive through the pins hard. The carry has been impressive too — even slight misses seem to recover well and keep the corners low. Overall, I feel like the Rocket AI gives me the perfect mix of length, backend reaction, and consistency, which makes it a ball I can confidently keep in my bag for league and tournament play.

The first time I rolled this ball was on a typical house shot with 3 other bowlers on pair. On the fresh it was clean through the fronts but there was not enough on the backend to make the turn. Where the Rocket AI began to shine was during the transition and when the lanes started to get crispy. The ball was clean through the fronts and the motion down lane became angular but controllable with the A1S Pearl Coverstock backed with Power Edge polish. Where the stronger balls over hooked or rolled out, the Rocket AI’s readable motion created more confidence for me to move right and to continue to make that move. I feel the Rocket AI is a piece that can keep you ahead of the transition and it will continue to be the ball to get you down the lane an create that desired angular motion when it becomes toasty. The Storm Rocket A.I. has been a great fit for my arsenal with the 2LS 5 × 4 × 2.5 layout. The layout gives the ball easy length through the fronts while still creating a strong, clean move off the friction without feeling uncontrollable. What stands out most is how well it blends transition and keeps striking when the lanes start to dry up. For me, it’s the perfect Game 3 option that still has enough continuation and hit to carry from deeper angles.

STORM ROCKET A.I. Ball Specs: Booster AI core with A1S reactive pearl coverstock, Storm PowerEdge factory finish compound and a very enticing Frosted Berry fragrance. My Specs: Speed: (13-15 mph), Approx Rev Rt: (280-320), PAP: 4.5 x ½↑, Tilt: 4° the layout I went with for the Rocket AI is 4.5x5x2. Tested on Pro-lane surface with a fresh 43 ft medium volume house shot and on SPL 42 ft medium volume house shot after a senior league had rolled on them, so just a little burn with somewhat spotty down lane issues due to plastic ball carrydown. Sidenote about me to start off with, I am currently bowling with fully torn supraspinatus tendon which has severely decreased my ball speed with 15-pound balls. I am currently building a solid 14# arsenal and looking for that step down ball to go to once the lanes get a little crispy, and the Rocket AI right is THE solution. BUT do NOT let that fool you, this ball will also hold its own in game one on medium oil patterns just fine as well. I first rolled this right off the press on Pro-lanes with a fresh 43-foot house shot and was able to play down and in at 5, and sometimes further out when I missed, and this ball rolled in very nicely ripping all 10 back without issues. After rolling on the same lane for about an hour or so and throwing some more aggressive pieces (Gremlin Tour X & Transformer) down the same lines, I was able to bump left and roll the Rocket out 15 to 5 right before the far-right tracer and again the Rocket AI did not disappoint. It was able to bounce off the friction and make a nice turn into the pocket right through the 8-9 gap. My benchmark layout is 4x4x2 of which I have other balls at this layout that are also symmetrical pearls (Phaze 2 Pearl) so I went with just a touch longer layout to get the ball further downlane before making the turn. Comparing the two balls, the Phaze 2 Pearl is much stronger and more aggressive layout, so when the pattern dictates that I start with a pearl, again the Rocket AI is a great step down from the P2P when the lanes start to break down. With tournament season now in full swing, I cannot wait to get this ball out on the lanes and really put it to the test.
