Introducing the ice-cold devastation of the new Subzero Forge. This latest beast in the Forge line is a force of nature, combining the proven power of the Detonator core with the traction of Leverage MXC Solid Reactive coverstock. The outcome is inevitable: pins left shattered and your competition frozen in fear.  Embrace the cold and conquer the lanes with the Subzero Forge.

At the heart of the Subzero Forge is the Detonator core, a formidable combination of low RG and high differential. This dynamic duo offers unparalleled control and traction. The fast-spinning low RG provides unparalleled control, while the high differential delivers the raw strength needed to plow through the heaviest oil like a glacier carving its path. The Detonator is a proven winner, relentless on higher volumes of oil.

Paired with this powerful core is the Leverage MXC Solid coverstock, enhanced with the Duramax™ additive. This isn't just another coverstock; it's an incredibly strong surface that maintains its texture longer than any before. You'll feel the ice-cold precision of the Evoke, but with an updated ferocity that true MOTIV enthusiasts will recognize as the Forge Flare’s fierce evolution.

When to Use

Speed Dominant Bowlers- The speed dominant bowler will likely find the most frequent use of the Subzero Forge.  Bowlers who are always looking for something stronger and more controllable will love this new Forge.  The 2000 grit lss finish on the Leverage MXC solid cover will tear through the oil to provide easy hook for speed dominant players.

Balanced Bowlers - Bowlers whose revs and ball speed match will use the Subzero Forge on high volumes of oil, fresh patterns, and when control is of the utmost importance.  Balanced bowlers who compete in tournaments will love the Subzero Forge for their fresh oil ball on higher volume patterns.  Additionally, first shift high volume house shots can be tricky if your ball is not controllable.  The Subzero Forge is great in those situations for balanced bowlers.

Rev Dominant Bowlers - While balanced and speed dominant players often like to use asymmetrical bowling balls on higher volume and fresh oil patterns, many times rev dominant players struggle with those cores.  The Subzero Forge is as strong a ball as a rev dominant player may ever need, with the control of the quick revving symmetrical Detonator core.

  • The Forge Flare makes its return!

Posted by Anthony Evans on Oct 11th 2024

I was a huge fan of the Forge Flare, it went everywhere with me when we released it so I have been chomping at the bit for another big cover Forge Solid since then! This thing is a monster. The Duramax additive in the cover gives the Subzero Forge a level of teeth that can chew through even the thickest of oils. On top of that, with big strong solids, they tend to struggle with shining up too fast and bowlers losing the traction they're looking for with that particular piece, this one follows in the footsteps of the other balls like the Pride Dynasty that have the Duramax additive by being able to take many games on the cover before seeing any significant change in strength in the front part of the lane. I will say as well, this piece not only gives the teeth in the front that bowlers loved from the Forge Flare, but it also provides a bit more downlane shape than the Flare as well. If you ever felt like the Flare got a little too forward downlane, this one will cover that for you by a significant margin. This will definitely be the ball to have if you need a big core symmetric solid for those heavier oil conditions! - MOTIV Staff Member, Anthony Evans

  • Coldest ball in the game!

Posted by DJ Rose on Oct 10th 2024

The brand new Subzero Forge is exactly what Motiv has been looking for in a big, slower ball that helps control the lane. The Subzero Forge with the Leverage MXC Solid cover stock has allowed me to see A LOT of hook on fresh and longer patterns that I don't typically see. As I have been throwing this ball, it has helped me a bunch of being able to generate hook on heavier patterns without sacrificing the way the ball goes through the pins. If you are looking for something with a lot of hook potentially but still able to be controlled at the end of the pattern, pick up a Subzero Forge today! Motiv Staff member: D.j. Rose

  • Sub Zero Wins

Core: Detonator Type: Symmetrical Coverstock: Leverage MXC Solid Reactive Box Finish: 2000 Grit LSS Layout: 45 x 4 ½ x 70 Strengths The overall ball motion of Sub-Zero is earlier than the ball motion of Evoke, and smoother at the breakpoint. Leverage MXC Solid Reactive gets Subzero started earlier than Forge Ember and offers more continuation than Pride Dynasty. Sub-Zero has no issue in terms of traction in the oil .Weaknesses Sub-Zero needs oil in order to Sub-Zero. Leverage MXC Solid is not meant to combat light oil due to how much teeth the coverstock has, it would be wise to ball down to smaller weaponry. K.C.
