“This is the strongest pearl symmetric ever manufactured by MOTIV® Bowling and it’s not even close.” - Nick Pahr - Motiv R&D The Iron Forge™ is, without a doubt, the strongest pearl symmetric Motiv has made to date. The latest addition to the popular Forge™ line, the Iron Forge™ has the same Detonator™ core as previous Forges™, but with the proven Infusion™ MVP pearl seen on the Ripcord™ Velocity. The combination creates unbelievable angle on medium-heavy oil conditions. Inside the Iron Forge™ is the Detonator™ core. This low rg / high differential core is the same absolute beast of a core used in the ultra strong Forge™ Flare. The low rg and high differential core is stable, with a wide footprint on the lane; this combination equals more total hook, but also more mid-lane traction and control than other symmetrical core options. This uniquely strong symmetrical core is what allows us to use such a clean and angular coverstock in moderately heavy oil patterns. Around the Iron Forge™ is the Infusion™ MVP coverstock, the fastest response and most angular cover ever made by MOTIV®. This cover has only previously been used on the Ripcord™ Velocity, which is widely accepted as the most angular ball ever made by MOTIV®. Using this cover with such a strong core allows bowlers to see that proven angle on higher volumes of oil or earlier in their progression than they are able to use the Ripcord™ Velocity. When To Use: Speed Dominant Bowlers: The incredibly strong core in the Iron Forge™ allows for speed dominant players to use a pearlized coverstock when that may have been difficult in the past. Many speed dominant players are forced to use solids and hybrids rather than pearls simply because a clean cover combined with a clean core oftens skids too far for their game. The Iron Forge™ allows these players to have an angular option in their bag when no other symmetrics would be strong enough. Balanced Bowlers: The uniqueness of the Iron Forge™ for balanced bowlers is that the strong cover / angular core combination allows them to keep up with rev-dominant bowlers through transition. When rev-dominant bowlers see transition, one of their great advantages is being able to create angle and follow transition into the pattern earlier than the rest of the field. A high flare, fast spinning core paired with a sideways cover lets balanced bowlers stay ahead of transition without sacrificing carry or fearing that their ball will miss the breakpoint. Rev Dominant Bowlers: For rev dominant bowlers, this is a strong pearl cover that will allow for seeing length and control on higher friction surfaces even from the beginning of a block. The Iron Forge™ is strong enough that many rev dominant bowlers will have the luxury of using a pearl coverstock on fresh oil, which is incredibly rare. PBA Bowler Zac Tackett said that he was most excited that this was a ball he could use for an entire block.

Bryan Ramsey Motiv regional staff If your looking for some serious backend motion, look no further than Motiv Bowling's new Iron Forge. This piece is going to get through the fronts and the mid lane so clean saving all of its energy for that angularity at the pin deck. It has that benchmark reaction and that predictability you need for the first ball out of your bag. The versatility of this ball is off the charts as well. Yet another incredible ball chart addition for the best company in bowling. #Motivbowling #Getmotivated #BowlerX

This ball is latest in the very successful Forge line created by MOTIV. The MOTIV Iron Forge is, without a doubt, the strongest pearl symmetric ever manufactured by MOTIV to date. This core to cover combination creates unbelievable angle on medium-heavy oil conditions. It features the Detonator weight block, as in previous Forges, in combination with the proven Infusion MVP Pearl Reactive cover stock seen on the Rip Cord Velocity. The Infusion cover provides ease of length with a pronounced response to friction at the end of the pattern, while the core is stable, with a wide footprint. This combination equals more total hook. It will be a great fit in your bag on medium to heavy oil. With the low RG / high differential core, is ball is an absolute beast. it is built to allow a balanced bowler, like myself, to keep up with the rev-dominant bowlers through transition. The Iron Forge will become that ball you can count on when you need length and it comes off the backend like no ball I've ever thrown before. It stores energy and continue through the pin deck. My Iron Forge is laid out with the pin above and just to the right of the ring finger and the cg shifted about 2" to the right of that. This ball has already found a place in my bag and drives through the pins with easy from any angle. If you are looking for that go to ball that will clear the fronts, recover from what seems like anywhere, has continuation and awesome hitting power. Look no further, you've found it. Layout 55 x 5" x 25 A pearl Forge has been on many wish lists ever since the line first debuted. The MOTIV Iron Forge is a worthy release to fill this want, and more. The proven Detonator core (2.47 RG, .055 Differential) has been wrapped in the ultra-responsive Infusion MVP Pearl coverstock providing the mid-lane reliability of the Forge line while adding the most explosive backend reaction the medium-heavy category has seen to date. Knowing the power and roll-heavy motion produced by the Detonator core, I wanted to put a layout on my Iron Forge that would take advantage of its mid-lane read without hampering the backend energy retained by the Infusion MVP Pearl. Out of box, this ball is an excellent first transition weapon on heavier conditions because it is strong enough to start biting through the oil early while providing a quick enough response time at the spot for those growing angles of attack. This reaction is also quite prevalent as a fresh, medium level piece that easily glides through the fronts, creates good mid-lane flare without bleeding energy, and snaps on the backend all the way through the pit. I decided to beef mine up a bit by hitting it with 2000 abralon by hand to provide sharper teeth for fresher conditions. I was pleasantly surprised by the results produced by this change. I saw my ball start to read the lane a solid three feet earlier, yet it lost none of its backend motion. Now I can start the day on my medium-heavy house shot crossing around 14 and stay in this ball for quite a way beyond fourth arrow. Such versatility from a pearl shell is not easy to come by. Clean in the fronts. Strong mid-lane read and flare. Commanding backend motion once friction is found. The Iron Forge is truly a special piece that should have universal appeal for all styles of bowlers across many layers of oil patterns. Loved the Infusion MVP pearl on the Ripcord and couldn't wait to see it on the Oblivion core. What movement, even for a senior player like myself. It gets through the midlane and doesn't turn left after it exits the pattern, instead getting longer downlane before turning the corner. Even with a pin down layout I match up with better on house shots, the Iron Forge hits as hard as the name implies, The very first toss down the lane opened my eyes immediately, carrying a messenger shot in a house not known for such carry. The second full game with it saw the front ten strikes before I missed one at the bottom of the swing, denying one of the first 300 games with the ball. Staying up the back of the ball really saves energy, creating a controlled move, still stronger than many other pieces. I can see many strings of strikes with the Iron Forge. Maybe it is my luck with Motiv balls using the color red (original Primal Rage, Primal Rage LE, Red Tank), but this is a great addition adding to the wide variety of shapes in the line. #stayMotivated Mark London Motiv Staff, Turbo Staff

When I first drilled my Iron Forge, I had a preconceived idea of what it might do with the core and cover combination. Infusion MVP in my opinion is our fastest responding cover formula down lane and it was featured on the Ripcord Velocity. The Velocity for me was amazing when the lanes got beat up and I needed something super clean and really angular for when I moved further left. At times, I felt I needed to make the Velocity start, which got me out of my comfort zone because I felt I needed to do too much with my hand. This is where the Iron Forge fits PERFECTLY in our line. The Iron Forge fits perfectly between balls like the Pride, and our cleaner balls like the Velocity as an option for transition games when you need something cleaner, but still need the get the ball to start up. The stronger Detonator Core in the Forge series really helps the ball pick up earlier than a Velocity, but is a much cleaner option for when you need to shell down to get your ball through the fronts.
