Visionary Ogre Pearl Bowling Ball

(10 reviews) Write a Review
With more length, and a stronger backend move, this ball is a perfect compliment to the OGRE Solid. The Purple/Black OGRE Pearl uses our Eradicator Pearl coverstock; a strong, pearlized shell that can handle oil and carrydown better than any of our previously released pearlized covers. Like the majority of our coverstocks, the Eradicator Pearl is very user friendly, and can be adjusted to handle a variety of lane conditions and bowling styles. The OGRE line is powered by a symmetrical, dual density core design without a wrap. This allows for a thicker, more uniform coverstock for extra resilience and energy at impact with the pins. The dense flip cap helps create a strong move at it’s breakpoint, while the body of the core helps to provide a consistent reaction without the typical over/under you see from many reactives.

Before I purchased this ball I did a lot of research. I called Visionary for some additional information and I was able to speak directly with one of the owners. He kindly answered all of my questions so I decided to purchase. I just played 7 games with this ball and I have to say that I am very impressed. It does exactly as advertised. Great job on a great product! Strong backend reaction. Great turn to pocket at the breakpoint! No questions about the pin action. Great length and continuation of hook.Moderate backend and hook reaction that makes the ball versatile. Easy maintanance and durable coverstock

I've put 9 games on it so far. Hits pretty hard, but is speed sensitive. A tad fast and I lose carry pretty quick. If I concentrate and keep it soft when I need to, it works just fine. Doesn't like the middle of the lane. At least in the 3 houses I bowl in. I have to keep it in the friction zones to get it to react properly. Overall, it is a very good ball, that helps me get the most out of my game. I can kill it and use it for a spare ball (I don't use plastic spare balls, just suitcase the ball I'm throwing), or, I can slow it way down and big wheel it, as long as the angle is not too great. Once again, another great ball from the Visionary folks.

Yet another ball purchased based on my costumers. Many of my bowlers were coming back from Nationals in Reno a year ago and were greatly impressed by Visionary and their equipment, many of them buying new balls from them while in Reno. So the Curious George in me said "I want to play too!" So off on another bowling tangent and so I ordered this ball as a starting point. I drilled this ball with a duel angle layout of 60 by 4 by 40 putting the pin just to the right of my ring finger and the cg toward my thumb. This ball is smooth and picks up a nice even roll to the pocket. The ball must find friction though, but if it finds the 1 3 whether light or heavy it carries it all. Nice work Visionary and I look forward to drilling and throwing more of their equipment. Trevor Back Alley Pro Shop Caldwell, Idaho

First off let me say that I am not on the Visionary Test Staff but after this i will be applying SOON !!! The O.P. is the best mid range pearl hands down due to it's consistancy of reaction. I would consider it to be a bench mark except that it's a pearl I usually reserve this for a med RG/Diff solid. the O.P. gets through the heads clean and has a suprisingly strong midlane read and a strong hard arcing back end saving enegry for a resounding pop at the deck. This no frills orb should be in every bowlers bag. if you are looking for a particle pearl type of reaction try this gem out it's stability and strength will amaze you from the first time you throw it.

This ball makes me look like a pro, On a house shot Ogre just won't go into the gutter, it will come to the pocket (highLow) Srike, my avg jump from 175 to 205 this ball is unreal. Just roll the ball, No need to push it drill pattern pin under ring finger cg 5in from MB up 7/8 (Ogre ss pin on side of finger) Box finish, Very hard to keep polish. Bought ball from Buddies Pro Shop online. I play the 5 board on the Viper pattern bowled 218 first time out house shot 234 245 208. this fall season I wll warn U sandbaggers lookout

This is second Ogre line I had on hand.My Ogre pearl is a 15lbs & with top 3.5oz ,pin 3" around condition. I had use the very common label drill to test the ball reaction...then the results came back to myself seems too good then my expection. This Ogre pearl is not only a ball which can make move on mid-dry condition but also works well on oilly lane with a bit scuff surface.rankly speak,I have no idea why this ball cannot be a top seller? Enjoy the Ogre series & I am waiting for my SS Ogre coming now...

THe Perfect ball for any shot. This ball is flawless I have never seen or heard anything hit as hard as this ball does. I have bowled on several different patterns including PBA, Tournament, Sport and house shots and this ball honestly reads the lane better than any ball I have ever thrown the only thing I had to do was adjust to the break point of the ball and it would carry fantastic. This is my first ball by Visionary but it won’t be my last. I have always thrown storm and i still do for the most part but when i need a go to ball my ogre pearl is it.

I was real pleased with a few other balls I got from VISIONARY! When the OGRE PEARL was introduced I ordered one FAST! I used it on MEDIUM conditions and it reacted beautiful. The drilling looks like the FLIP PIN design in the DRILLING INSTRUCTIONS! If what they say is true I will have the OGRE SOLID for MED/HVY and the OGRE PEARL for MED/LIGHT .. right now it maybe the two balls I take to RENO in June. If you haven't tried VISIONARY I'd suggest you venture in with the OGRE group! Incidently I got both these balls from ALLSTAR JOE who also did the drilling!

I love this ball. It goes about two thirds down the lane and really comes back at the end. But it does not over or under react the way my toxic hammer does. I throw about 16 miles an hour and am a tweener. First game out of the box was seven strikes in a row, leaving a ten and a nine and striking in the tenth. This is a great ball for medium lanes, with good carry on light hits, and pocket. This was my first visionary ball and I would buy another ball from them. The color is really nice and the colors of the script stand out well.
