Visionary Immortal Solid Bowling Ball

The Immortal Solid is an extremely aggressive ball that will create a heavy roll in the midlane with a strong hard arc reaction on the back. With the 1000 grit matte finish it will handle medium to heavier oils. For med to drier conditions, the Immortal Solid may need polish to help retain energy and prevent early burn up, however the Immortal Pearl is better suited for those conditions. The IMMORTAL is an adaptation of our highly successful Anti-Mass Bias core design. Unlike other balls which use dense materials to create a mass bias, the AMB design utilizes an extremely light cap opposite the desired mass bias location. This AMB flip cap creates a negative mass bias on the side with the cap and also creates a positive mass bias at the desired location. This allows the bowler to drill the ball in just about any possible manner, without affecting the core shape or dynamics. Due to the extremely high differential, this ball flares a ton which creates an earlier and harder arc reaction compared to other balls with similar covers. The IMMORTAL'S can create a strong reaction for those bowling styles that need help to get the ball into a roll, however they may burn up for bowlers without much speed or side rotation. The AMB-IMMORTAL core has a heavy cap added to the bottom of the original AMB core. This allows the density of the top cap to be increased significantly. The result is a core that produces an extreme flare potential with it’s 0.078″ differential. To Layout the AMB-IMMORTAL properly, you must first mark the “Virtual Mass Bias” by drawing a line from the 1/4″ locator pin on the backside, through the 1/2″ white flip pin around the ball. Mark an “x”180 degrees from the AMB pin (13 1/2″ from the AMB pin which puts the “x” 6 3/4″ from the black pin. This Virtual Mass Bias point can then be treated using the same general rules that apply to other typical mass bias spots. *** By using the AMB cap to create an Anti-Mass Bias (negative mass bias on the back side) it allows the ball to have a lower RG than the original DC core while maintaining a high differential. It also helps maintain more of the core dynamics for most drillings. In the case with most strong Mass bias balls, when drilling the thumb – you remove a large portion of the heavy core or cap used to create the bias, resulting in less of the core’s original dynamics. BUT, with the AMB core, you drill into lighter coverstock and save almost all of the original core shape – retaining the true dynamics originally designed by the core. ***

Started at 12 to 10, good read of the midlane and strong move through the pins. Adjusted left with feet and added side rotation as oil burned up. It was very consistant and readable through two games. Carry went away and started leaving nine pins. Adding speed just got more powerful finish, and still left nine pins. This is an excellent ball for medium heavy to heavy conditions, and it is very consistant in it's reaction. This makes it easy to read the necessary adjustments and stay in the good carry zone for your game. Anyone who needs a powerful finishing ball for heavier conditions should look at the Immortal Solid.

A great ball of performance for the price. This is another ball that highly outranks competition, but gets no real notice. Visionary is the most underated ball company on the market. The Immortal Solid is by far the best oil ball I have ever owned. It rolls early like Brunswicks purple monster, but still has the angle of entry on the backend like an Awesome Hook. High RPM players have to be careful with how you lay the ball out. Since I am a high rev player with a low track, I laid mine out with the pin right beside the middle finger, and the MB kicked out to 4:30. The ball is 1/2 " away from flaring the entire ball!

Drilled pin next to ring finger, cg located @ 8 o'clock to give me plenty of control @ the back part of the lane. Ball clears the head even with 1000grit box finish, has plenty of midlane and makes a smooth turn towards the pocket with ease. Not really a ball for crankers to be using, much better results by letting the ball do the work instead of cranking the piss out of the ball. Hitting power is amazing, on weak hits this ball leaves nothing on the deck, when i go flush very little worries leaving a 9 or 8 pin being the backend is very strong but controllable. Very useful when the track area most bowlers play around breaks down severely in the midlane and breakpoint part of the lane. Visionary, i'm going to try a few more balls in the future, being i own the Ogre SS and Centaur Bronze AMB.

I have had this ball since December and have waited to post a review. I had this ball drilled as my driller called a 4x4 drilling. After speaking with Frankie May in Reno he was not impressed with the layout for the ball. Due to time restrictions he could not plug and redrill the ball in time for my team event. He did take some of the surface off the ball. All I can say is OMG. I was playing right down 10 and the ball would roll just like it was suppose to. It had a good amount of back end but the angle wasn't to sharp. I missed the pocket twice the entire night (not the ball's fault). Just be sure the person that drills your Visionary equipment is familiar with them. I am going to get the ball plugged and redrilled to give it more of a skid snap reaction.
