Visionary Immortal Pearl Bowling Ball

(11 reviews) Write a Review
The Immortal Pearl will go longer and flip harder on the backend than the Immortal Solid (still not a true skid/snap reaction). Even though the cover on the Immortal Pearl is more of a skid/flip style reactive, the high differential causes it to get into an earlier roll in the oil than typical pearl reactives resulting in better handling on carrydown and less erratic snap on the back. The IMMORTAL is an adaptation of our highly successful Anti-Mass Bias core design. Unlike other balls which use dense materials to create a mass bias, the AMB design utilizes an extremely light cap opposite the desired mass bias location. This AMB flip cap creates a negative mass bias on the side with the cap and also creates a positive mass bias at the desired location. This allows the bowler to drill the ball in just about any possible manner, without affecting the core shape or dynamics. Due to the extremely high differential, this ball flares a ton which creates an earlier and harder arc reaction compared to other balls with similar covers. The IMMORTAL'S can create a strong reaction for those bowling styles that need help getting a ball into a roll, but may burn up for bowlers without much speed or side rotation. The AMB-IMMORTAL core has a heavy cap added to the bottom of the original AMB core design. This allows the density of the top cap to be increased significantly. The result is a core that produces an extreme flare potential with it’s 0.078″ differential. To Layout the AMB-IMMORTAL properly, you must first mark the “Virtual Mass Bias” by drawing a line from the 1/4″ locator pin on the backside, through the 1/2″ white flip pin around the ball. Mark an “x”180 degrees from the AMB pin (13 1/2″ from the AMB pin which puts the “x” 6 3/4″ from the black pin. This Virtual Mass Bias point can then be treated using the same general rules that apply to other typical mass bias spots. *** By using the AMB cap to create an Anti-Mass Bias (negative mass bias on the back side) it allows the ball to have a lower RG than the original DC core while maintaining a high differential. It also helps maintain more of the core dynamics for most drillings. In the case with most strong Mass bias balls, when drilling the thumb – you remove a large portion of the heavy core or cap used to create the bias, resulting in less of the core’s original dynamics. BUT, with the AMB core, you drill into lighter coverstock and save almost all of the original core shape – retaining the true dynamics originally designed by the core. ***

I got this drilled pretty much label with the pin over the ring finger, and had no problem getting this ball to turn the corner on medium oil to medium heavy oil. This ball could even be used on drier lanes, if you were comfortable moving deep, but a ball change was usually the better option. Never had a problem getting the ball to carry the corner pins, and only decided to get rid of it because it didn't really fill a hole inmy arsenal at the time. However, the new owner immediately shot 300 - 807 the first night out with the ball.

another great ball from visionary. 3 oz top 3 in pin. pin above fingers cg in palm. this ball gets through the front with ease and gets about 3/4 of the way down the lane and it looks as if someone just kicked it to the pocket. very strong on the back. amazing thing is that it didnt squirt or miss the break point. this ball will give ANYONE the ability to open up the back end of the lane. with hand adjustments it allowed me to play any part of the lane on a flat pattern. no brainer ball for people who want strong back end and hitting power without giving up the skip from other pearl bowling balls. way to go visionary. thumbs way up for this one.

This ball is first out of my bag. It is strong enough to run in all but the heaviest oil which is where my Centaur Particle takes over. Our normal house shot (dubbed the Valdez pattern for the grounded oil tanker that spewed in Alaska) the lanes are soaked up front with heads that last into the second bowling shift. One of my leagues is a second shift and the Immortal is good until the transition game, As the heads dry up keep moving left until the ball takes you out of your comfort zone. It can be used through med/Light conditions if there's enough head oil and will carry on most carrydown. Fried heads mean the ball's bagged no matter what you've got upfront unless you like splits. The ball hits too hard with dry heads.

After 1 full year, This ball is still in the bag every time I go bowling. 16 pounds 4" pin above the bridge cg just right of grip center MB is just below and right of thumb. I keep it polished. On medium volume THS you need 18+ MPH or take hand out. I can adjust release positions to get the breakpoint and angle I want, If you use full hand revs and rotation, you look like Robert Smith. Way deep and really getting a sharp corner. I have yet to find a condition where this ball won't turn the corner. It is simply your angle on the front 2/3 of the lanes. Awesome ball.

Overall I give this ball a rating of 9 pins. The reason I didn't give it a ten was that it left a lot of ringing ten pins when I first drilled it. After the coverstock broke in a little in tended to kick out the corner pins better. This ball is great for heavier oil house shots or most any type of tournament pattern. Even when the lanes where flooded with some back end I was able to slow my speed down to get the ball to kick out the ten. My next purchase will be the AMB particle ball. This should be a good fit in with my black pearl immortal and my ss orge that I have already drilled.<sc

3' pin placed <1/2 inch right of my fingers w/ the CG at 4 o'clock from the pin (CG about 3" from center of span, so i have a large axis hole). the ball is designed to go long with tons of backend, i had to be the smart one to lay mine out strong and early. not only does it start it's roll around 28', once the arch has begun, it doesn't stop. i think it would continue arching even after the pin deck ended if there was no back catch. this ball is amazingly strong for a pearl, and it flares over 1/4 of the ball. last years men's state tournament, we landed the worst pair in the house as far as oil patterns are concerned. the two lanes were like night and day. on the oilier lane, this ball was smashing. i bowled on a ateam with a PBA member and a Hammer staffer, it was nice being able to score on that lane when they couldn't. for the dryer lane, i used my Visionary G3 Gryphon. i was getting about a 2.5 board difference with the reaction of the two balls, but i was scoring when everyon

My Centaur solid was burning up early and hitting weakly, so I tried the Immortal Pearl. Used a soft turn of the hand at release, and shot the first eight. Hung a 10 pin when I turned the hand early on the ninth shot. I'll make the switch earlier next time. After using this ball and getting used to the very strong angular motion, I'm enjoying it very much. I'd recommend it for anyone who likes an angular motion, or someone who needs a strong ball on medium conditions. High rev players may need more oil or really deep lines to use this ball.<scr

Used this ball on synthetics medium/heavy oil, got great reaction from deep inside. On wood with medium oil, ball was too angular and left 2 pocket 7-10's in 6 frames. I like this ball for a short heavy pattern or medium heavy condition. I can play a little straighter and not get the angularity that I suffered on the light oil with carry down. Visionary has a winner for those that like angular shots, or those that need a strong ball to make up for weak hands. This is a very strong ball and is very angular. It does kick out the corner on pocket hits.

The AMB-IMMORTAL is the latest adaptation of our highly successful Anti-Mass Bias core design. Unlike other balls Visionary got the right one baby The new core, keeps pins stay extremely low and hits like a truck!!! The one I tested was drilled . I was able to play the middle of the lane with an extreme break point or more right towards the gutter with a hand change. no matter where I played this ball carried the 10 pin like no other thrown. I would like to this core and weight block combination Creates an large scale window for missed-release If you are a stroker or tweener player. This ball works and hooks For competition purpose. The strike force will bring you lot of feedback and satisfaction which use dense materials to create a mass bias, the AMB design utilizes an extremely light cap opposite the desired mass bias location. This AMB flip cap creates a negative mass bias on the side with the cap and also creates a positive mass bias at the desired location. This

This is the first post from me to VBP product.I had drilled one AMB pearl & AMB solid. Both work very versatile for me & won lot of games. So,I expect the Immortal should more or less simular with them because of the core design. And the result is : Perfect Fit!! I had drilled it a bit smooth way since my AMB pearl & solid are mostly too wild enough to me for most kind of lane conditions. And I just want to put one more smooth in my arsenal. The layout is CG was set at right 1" from my center of grip & pin at 11 o'clock direction away from CG.Ball weight 15lbs3oz , Top 2.82 oz. This ball drives a bit late since I gave it not so early reaction position(minus side weight). And very clean from the head, with a very very large & predictable backend to pins.Just works what I demand it to do!!A mid-dry oil pattern ball. What I can say is this ball hits like nothing I used before. And allows large scale window for mis-release.If you are a stroker or tweener player. You must need one for com

WOW!! Visionary got this one right!!! With the new core, the pins stay extremely low and hits like a truck!!! The one I tested was deilled 4 X 5 stacked leverage with the weight hole 1 inch past my PAP. I was able to play the middle of the lane with an extreme break point or more towards the gutter with a hand change. no matter where I played this ball carried the 10 pin like no other ball I have thrown. I would like to see this core and weight block combination isa coverstock like the Char. Executioner of a mider ball like the Green/Blue Centaur. A definate GRAND SLAM here!!!
