Storm All Road Bowling Ball

Nanotechnology: Why is something so small so big? Our NRG material deals with the smallest of the small. In fact, it is the manipulation of matter at the molecular level. In bowling ball tech, you can’t see what’s there, but you can certainly feel it every shot you make. As with any ball with "ROAD" in it, you better make sure you put holes in it as soon as possible! SMARTLY DESIGNED INVERTED FE² TECHNOLOGY Inverted Fe2 technology boasts a higher RG and differential like most other balls in the Thunder Line, but with one very important benefit: it lacks the core material that most other balls have. This enables the ball to have a much thicker shell which raises the coefficient of restitution. A higher energy transfer to the pins with less deflection upon impact is what can be expected with this design.

Storm All Road 50 x 4 3/4 x 40 The All Road is the perfect benchmark ball - smooth, consistent, and versatile. It is not as early as past sanded iterations of the HyRoad (HyRoad Solid, HyRoad Nano), and covers a wider range of conditions. It is easily strong enough to handle a fresh league condition, but still rolls well when you have to chase the pattern left. I would classify the motion as a hard arc downlane - smooth but with just a touch of angularity. It is a little too strong for when the fronts start to go away, but going to something such as the HyRoad Pearl fills that reaction perfectly.

Storm All-Road is great for medium to dry conditions when the phase 2 is too early. I really love the Hyroad series and the All-Road is a great compliment to them.

The All-Road features a combination of the inverted FE2 core found in the Hyroad series with the hybrid version of the NRG cover, which is found on the PhysiX and Super Son!Q, the solid version of which was on the Hyroad Nano. The All Road is surprisingly controllable and a bit weaker than I expected. I expected the length that the Hyroad series is known for, but I also thought it would be quite a bit stronger and boomier down lane than it actually is. This is a relief, however, because it establishes it firmly as a compliment to the balls in the Thunder line instead of reaching up to overlap anything in the Master line. It's a great compliment to the Hyroad, because while the OG is long and really responsive down lane, the All Road offers a couple boards more hook and that same length, but a smooth, round, arcing shape that offers a shape alternative if you want a similar amount of hook that will blend the end of the pattern better.

Storm All Road 45 x 3.75 x 40 Anything with the Hyroad core in it is going to be good. The All Road is basically a new version of the Hyroad Nano. I personally think this ball is a little cleaner/longer and a bit more down lane continuation vs the Nano. For me, when I have to put down the Phaze 2 or Phaze 3 sometimes going into a shiny ball isn't the answer. With the thickness of the oil today and how much volume we bowl on regularly, polished bowling balls tend to amplify the lanes transition. This ball is exactly what I'm looking for, controllable continuation. It is perfect for medium volumes and lengths. I can use it late on heavier longer patterns and on the fresh on short and medium oil patterns. Don't be afraid to alter the surface to match your game in either direction. This is a great all around ball for all styles, feel confident when purchasing anything with the word Road in the name!

Great reaction and great looking. Another winner in the Road series. The All Road's higher rg along with it's hybrid cover make it the best choice on the market for bowlers that need to get the ball through the front but struggle with highly polished equipment. The little bit lower differential is a perfect match the allows enough backend for great carry but not to much to give any problems controlling the pocket. Perfect when the lanes are broken down some or at houses that typically hook a little from the start.

The Storm All Road is featuring one of my all time favorite covers in the Storm family. The NRG Hybrid sees the pattern just right for my game. I love the strength and continuous motion I get with that cover and core combo. The All Road has a RG of 2.57 with a Diff 0.46. What this ball does for me is, when a Pro Motion and/or Idol series balls are a little too early, I think of the All Road. The ball has that strong cover where I know 1. The ball won't pick up too quick and 2. I know it won't get down to far because of the cover. If you're looking for a ball between the Pro Motion and the OG Hy-Road, you should definitely give the All Road a look. Kevin Jones Ball Speed 15-15.5 Rev Rate 390-400 PAP 4 1/4 RT 1 1/2 up

The All Road for me is very clean and very continuous for its dull finish. Comparable to the IQ Tour, the All Road is cleaner and a few boards more of hook at the break point. The All Road is great on oil patterns where you want to control the backend but bowl on lower amounts of volume or higher hooking lane surfaces. The ball is very unique in the Thunder Line comparative to the rest of the Hy-roads. It compliments the Hyroad X very well as it is stronger rolling and slightly smoother overall. The Hyroad X would be a great step down from it as well to give it a more angular shape.

As the "Road" legacy continues, the latest addition to the line is the Storm All Road. The best minds at Storm went a bit of a different route with the All Road and it's impressive. The engine didn't change inside the ball, but the coverstock did. I've drilled one All Road so far and think it fills a nice spot in my tournament and league bags. I used one of my favorite layouts which is mapped out as 5 x 4 with no weight hole. That puts the pin above my bridge and I didn't change the surface. After some oil got in the coverstock, the All Road shined nicely and it's a much cleaner, quicker response time than my Gravity Evolve, but is stronger than the Tropical / Hustle series. I've had success with the All Road when there's some friction and after patterns have transitioned. I've also had success being able to move right, increase my speed, and try to trap it. It's a ball that doesn't change direction extremely hard, so I've been able to use different releases to play with the response time. Overall, I think the All Road is a great addition to tournament and league bags. Go drill one! #StormNation

The ALLROAD in the road series a very successful hyroad core wrapped with the hybrid reactive with NRG. The All road rolls a little early and reads the lane well but is smooth with low response down the lane. I drilled mine with a 3 3/4" pin and a 25 degree val angle. This ball is great for smoothing out the pattern and maintaining the control you need when the lanes get messy. I have loved the Hyroad Series, and this is by far the strongest cover in my opinion and smoothest. If you don't have a lot of hand you will play more up the boards with this ball. The NRG it really blends out the overall motion. Very good addition to the Hyroad line. As the hyroad nano was a little too early and too strong the All road is much much better.

STORM | All Road Review - John Struckman HyRoad... with NRG Hybrid Reactive... Oh my! Taking my personal favorite mid performance bowling ball of all time and combining it with a Nanotechnology cover... equals a ball up from the HyRoad that everyone should be excited about. Exactly what I need in tournaments and when the original HyRoad just isn't enough ball on heavier volume oil patterns. Using All Road on the house shot is a lot of fun as well. It allows me to move further left of where I would stand with the original HyRoad but still have that strong downlane motion and hitting power that we all look for from every ball with "road" in it. Technical Numbers = RG 2.57 / DIFF .046 / 4000 grit abralon factory finish / 5-6" flare potential / NRG Hybrid Coverstock / Symmetrical Weightblock / No Core. It is exciting to know that the All Road is essentially a HyRoad with more "teeth" which allows you to move into different parts of the lane, open up your angles and know that you are going to get that HIGH RG motion coming back into the pocket.

All Road is the newest family member to the HyRoad Family. With the HyRoad core and the PhysiX cover, this ball is sure to make waves! The PhysiX has been the first ball out of my bag this season. With that ball being so strong and the next ball down being quite a bit weaker, I have needed a ball that will complement the Physix more. This ball has been the answer. With the cover having nano in it, it blends the pattern when needed while having that familiar HyRoad pop. I am really the success with the current line! The only con is that I haven't been starting with it. I like to use it more as the ball down from the PhysiX Layout on the All Road is 60x5x35. Balls that are getting some looks right now: PhysiX- 60x5x35 Phaze 3-60x5-1/2x35 HyRoad Pearl-60x5-1/2x35 CodeX-60x5x70

This ball is a great one for a fresh or completely transitioned/dry house condition, or a tourney pattern of short length and volume. The Storm All Road is overly smooth getting to the back of the lane but holds it motion as it goes left but continues through the pins. This ball would be a great one for people with lower ball speeds who may have problems getting the ball down the lane before it makes its move. I would also recommend it for players with obscenely high rev rates as it will allow them to have more control of the lane without the jerky, off the spot motion that higher end balls tend to do. Definitely a gap filler in one's arsenal!

Length:42 Volume: High Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):THS Rev Rate: 450 Ball Speed: 17 mph PAP: 5 1/16 x 3/4 up Introducing the All Road, the newest release in the Thunder line. This ball still uses proven Inverted Fe2 core and wraps it with the NRG hybrid cover that was previously used on the Physix. The layout I used was 5 x 5 x 4, which puts the pin right under both fingers and kicks the cg out slightly. One of my favorite pieces as of late has been the Hyroad X because of how clean and strong down lane it is but sometimes its not quite strong enough to start the day off with. Well the All Road is the perfect solution for that. With the beefed up NRG Hybird cover it picks up much stronger in the oil and creates a strong and continuous motion. This is a great benchmark piece that can easily be the first ball out of the bag for most. Earon Vollmar Roto Grip Amateur Staff

What to say about this ball? Since drilling mine I've really happy with I've seen. I like smoother shapes and the All Road fits that. With nice pop in the back. For a med price ball you get a great ball and a ball that is good for bowlers of any skill level.

Storm All-Road Layout: Pin 4 inches and 1 inch pin buffer Rev Rate: 300 rpm, 7 degree of axis tilt, 40 degree of axis rotation Testing information: 41 foot THS (medium to light volume) Bowling Center: Fulton Bowling Center Kegel Machine – Brunswick Anvilane The Storm All-Road utilizes the NRG Hybrid coverstock and Inverted Fe2 core. This core is the engine that made the long-lasting Storm Hy-Road famous. This core allows for a thicker than normal coverstock, which always translates into a great ball. When comparing the All-Road with the Hy-Road, we saw an earlier breakpoint with the All-Road. The pin carry is what you expect from this new Thunder Line addition – Great! The All-Road will fit between my Storm Super SoniQ and Storm Hy-Road. The All-Road will be a great benchmark ball for your bag. #Stormnation

I'm 63 years old, right-handed bowler. My ball speed is 15-15.5 and I put myself in the stroker class. I roll between the 5 & 10 board. I use a different ball to match the lane conditions. The NRG cover stock works great for me so I try to get every ball with that particular cover. I drill with the pin above the fingers. This ball is my new benchmark ball. Until this ball, it was the hyroad. The ALL ROAD is clean threw the front part of the lane and a lot of energy with good backend reaction. If this ball hooks to much, I change to the physix or the new phase III which will give you more length. I layout this and the other two 55x3 3/4x25. All of these are great. Check with your local pro shop or get with storm. They have a program called match makers where you can buy a new ball to see what works for you.

Storm All-Road 4000 NRG™ Hybrid Reactive Patterns used for review are HP modified. Pattern A: 42Ft, 28.56 Mls, 5:1 ratio Pattern B: 43Ft, 29.86 Mls, 4:1 ratio COMMENTS The All Road was easily able to control mid lane roll. It wasn't to early that it flatten coming around the corner. Normally a ball in this range would slow down as you moved in. However, the All Road was able to keep its motion down lane. This allowed for moves in and out as the pattern developed throughout the set. Things to look for: A. The ALL ROAD out of box bled energy a little faster the deeper the play area became as I moved in deeper on both patterns. The ALL ROAD was much better in controlling the lanes as the pattern transitioned from the right. B. The ALL ROAD with allow for more continuation off the back of the pattern as the midlane begins to transition. C. Cover change for these patterns at 500/2000/polish allowed for slower moves on both patterns and kept me right or tight. Personal preference is to keep the ALL ROAD shined for use as a 1/2 combination with the PHAZE III. After using these balls side by side on the same two patterns it was easier to make moves knowing the when I needed a little more power I could ball up to PHAZE III or stay in control with the ALL ROAD! NOTE A: For heavy hitters the ALL ROAD allowed me to be much more aggressive in the release and power up on the ball. This helped with having a smoother reaction without being so restrictive in how much I bumped the track area of the patterns. When I moved in I was able to hold for a game and then push back out to the right and control the mids. This is a must if you looking for something not in the upper end of performance but still want to be able to play heavy handed and shape the lane as the night goes on. I Drilled a second ALL ROAD and pushed the drill angle smaller. At this Point the All Road made for a bit of angle but not uncontrollable. It held shape on the same pattern but if you pushed it from the inside you knew it would be a little flat. However, polished allowed for longer stability and hold from the 13 to 8 range through out the set. LOW DOWN: The ALL ROAD will benefit you if you are looking for a ball you can be a bit more aggressive with if you're a stronger rev player especially as the pattern starts to go. Next, the ALL ROAD is the ball you will need to ball down to from the PHAZE III. This ball will be more of a sport pattern ball for my play area at this moment as it blends the patterns out nicely. The ALL ROAD can be drilled more aggressive for lower rev players wanting to attack the lanes from the right.

The latest entry in Storm's long-running Thunder line, the All-Road lives up to its name by having a massively wide range of use. Fans of the original Hy-Road will feel a ton of familiarity in how the All-Road shapes downlane thanks to the Inverted FE2 core (2.57 RG, 0.046 diff in 15#), but the All-Road also brings extra traction to the equation thanks to the 4000-grit sanded NRG Hybrid cover (also seen on the Super SON!Q and PhysiX). My All-Road (laid out at 55 x 4.5 x 35, putting the pin above my bridge) showed itself to be a ball that makes it very easy to hit pocket 10-11 times a game on house shot... and still get through the pins while doing so. That combination is not always a given when pocket carry is a must - the extra control sometimes means giving up some drive, but the All-Road showed itself to be capable of both whether on fresh, burn, or carrydown. If you're a fan of the Hy-Road series, this ball is a can't-miss addition to the family.

The All-Road is the latest continuation of the Thunder line. It has the same core as the Hyroad's and a Nano based cover that has been featured on the Physix and Super Soniq. This ball is exactly as described. It reads the mid-lane harder than the Hyroad, Hyroad Pearl and Hyroad X but still has that Hyroad shape downlane; but it's weaker than a physic because of its symmetrical core. I personally think this is the smoothest Hyroad we've seen in some time. Its predictable in the mid-lane and is not too sharp downlane like the Hyroads sometimes get. I can see myself using this on the fresh conditions as well as league; It blended the wet/dry cliff well for me. This ball will fare well for all players in my opinion. The All-Road is neither too strong for the lower ball speed players nor too weak for the higher ball speed players-- it is just right. I look forward to seeing these all over the racks of bowling centers because this ball is just that good.

So far the All Road is a great compliment to my HyRoad & HyRoad X. When my HyRoad OG is responding a little too violently to friction I move to the All Road for a little cleaner response without losing the momentum on the back part of the lane. It is earlier and smoother than my HyRoad OG and blends the patterns better thus making transition easier for me. I have the All Road laid out the same as my HyRoad X (pin in my finger) and the NRG Hybrid that the All Road is wrapped with definitely packs more of a punch leaving less ten pins and 8 pins all together. Although my HyRoad X used to do the same so I am interested to see if this cover tames down the same way over time. Over-all I am really enjoying throwing this ball, it is a shape that I am super comfortable with and know I can always go to when I don't know what else to do.

Storm's new addition to the famous Hy-Road line is the new All-Road! This All-Road features the NRG Hybrid Reactive Coverstock wrapped around the Inverted Fe2 Technology Core. My All-Road is laid out identical as my Hy-Road which is about 4 inches away from my pap with the pin over my ring finger. The one thing I love about this new piece is how well of a compliment this is to the original Hy-Road when it's a little to clean and to much off the spot this new All-Road will be a little earlier and smoother downlane. I fully anticipate a lot of people getting this ball with how well known the Hy-Road is! Go to your local Storm VIP pro shop and get yours today!

Technical Specs: Factory Finish: 4000 Abralon Coverstock: NRG Hybrid Reactive RG: 2.57 Differential: 0.046 Flare Potential: High (5" – 6") I laid this ball out with one of my favorite controlled drillings (50 x 4 ½ x 70), which put the pin below my ring finger. This was a similar layout that I had on a Phaze II, which was one of my go to balls. I threw the ball during my Friday night league on a house shot but was able to use it all night long with very minimal moving. If I missed out the ball would not over react off the friction and gave you a little bit of miss room in the middle. The ball is very smooth off the spot and continuous through the pins. I would think this would be a great ball to use on Medium volume patterns with the original Hy-Road being the step down ball once it starts to burn up.

I drilled my All Road up 75 x 4 x 30. I have touched up the surface with 2000 and 3000 pads. It seems to fit my style at 3000 CTD pad. I have always been hit or miss with the Road series weight blocks going all the way back to the Thunder Roads and T-Roads. A ball like the Cross Road would fit my game and I would throw it until the cover stopped reacting, but then a ball that everyone loved like the Hy Road I couldn't get to hit no matter the layout or surface. The All Road is a perfect fit for my game. I can throw this on medium (39-42 feet) patterns and go away from the pocket or line it straighter and get it to hold and hit. I am going to drill a compliment ball since I throw this on both league and sport patterns so well. I figure a slightly weaker pin distance in the 5" range but with a smaller val angle like 20* will make this one push and tip downlane when the 4" one is too early. Drill this one up and be pleased as the cover and core match up well together.

Storm All Road. This is a terrific benchmark ball. At first, it seemed like this ball might be very similar to the Hyroad Nano, which I had to put polish on because it just was too strong, but that really wasn't the case. I drilled up 2 of these, with my 2 favorite layouts. I have had a lot of success with the original Hyroad and the Hyroad pearl so I wanted to drill these similar to see the difference. The All Road gets through the front part of the lane pretty well, and once it reaches the friction, does not over react. Makes a smooth transition down lane and is very predictable. My pin down All Road starts up a little sooner and is more responsive in the oil. My pin up All Road needs a little more friction and makes a slightly harder move down lane. Just like previous Hyroads, I tend to see the pins stay low to deck after the ball hits, which is a plus for improving pin carry. Having drilled up a Gravity Evolve at the same time, these 2 balls make a great 1-2 punch for a league night or on a sport pattern with moderate and or length of oil. Storm's latest release in the Hy-Road line brings us the popular core with the recently popular NRG Hybrid cover stock. I drilled mine 5 x 5.5 x 2 and after throwing this ball for while it was very smooth off the pattern. The All Road is a lot earlier and smoother than the Hy-Road X which leads to it being just a little stronger. I would compare this to the older Hy-Road Nano with the All-Road being a touch longer.
