the Ball is good on spooty shots. I hit a 289 on a horrible shot. The balls great if you can trust it. It tends to roll our if you trust it too far out. Great ball for an advance bowler, one that can keep everything the same on every shot. If you are just an average bowler this ball isn't for you. The ball is really jumpy of the drys hard to get a good read. Its a good ball for one shot. I don't like the color its hard to see how the ball rolls. This ball is nothing compared to my AMF Radar Lock.

this ball very explosive! when the ball reads the midlane the ball wants to flat out hook ! the pins fly around every where I avg. nearly 250 to qualify first in a step ladder sratch tourney Then I shot 268 on my first game in pattern # 2 I liked the ball so much that I developed bad habits thinking the ball will do everything the ball is so good I watched Chris Warren tear up a tough pattern #4 in the regional with ease with that ball This ball qualifies as a cheater ball just don't get mad if you stone 8's and 9's with this ball

Purchased RS-X with 2.26 ounces topweight, 2 and 1/4 inch pin out. Drilled to have medium length and a hard arcing backend. For myself, it seemed to go longer but have a stronger backend that what I expected from the drilling (Makes me wonder what maximum backend drilling would have done 0.0). Hit very hard and carried well. Out of all the pocket shots and light shots I rolled, only thing that didn't care was three or four 7 Pins (left-handed bowler) through 15 games. Only times it didn't carry is when it went through the nose, which brings me to my only discrepency--You can miss inside/outside on a house shot and still strike, but if you get slow with the ball, it will jump high! But when i rolled fast, it still recovered well and carried light. Summary: Medium-High strength ball with clean backends. Judgment still out on carry-down, but I think it'll roll strong, just not as angular. Carries light shots well and very little trouble with corners on pocket shots. Not su

As I said earlier one of the first balls out of my bag. With some head oil this ball reads the lane very well. The carry with this ball is great as my first tournment with it. One of the bowlers I crossed with said "I know why you like that ball it hooks at the right spoton the lane" this ball does just that very predictable. I would recomend this ball to any one. I drilled the RSX pin above the ring finger cg out about 3/4 from the center line with a small hole. Ed Riffle Roto Grip Staff

This ball is exactly what I expected. I needed the ball to use for heavy oil conditions, if there isn't enough oil, I put it away. Roto-Grip continues to make great stuff. I already have a Pure fuel and an assault that I love. I think my next ball will be the RS-1. I would highly recommend this ball if you like a snappy back end. It works great skid/flip is very predictable with oil. Lots of finish power. I can roll this ball with confidence. I will continue to buy Roto-grip in the future.<scri

roto-grips finest right here. consistently shooting in the high 6's with this ball week in and week out. i put this ball away for a while for some reason. then i struggled, pulled it back out and am now dominating with it. i havent used another ball for at least a month. This ball goes long and hooks right into the pocket for a thundersome strike. carries 7 pins well. do it you wont. roto grip is an underrated ball company that no one tries because there a no name amongst bowling ball brands. Take my word for it and go out and buy a roto.<scri

This ball was nuts for the first 5-8 games, then it started to roll out once it hit the darkboards. I tried to sand the cover, to no avail. I put it away for about a week, then took it back to the shop and re-surfaced/ then polished the ball. Now it's fine and back to normal. I have no idea why the ball started to roll out in the beginning, but that problem was taken care of by the polish/re-surface job. Nice ball. I like it, I like it, I don't have enough words, it's great, just re-surface or polish for problems, I like it, yea good great

Very nice ball for the price. I've had a couple real nice series since I got it. Hits hard and carries well in a tough house. I don't turn the ball a lot, so it makes up on the back end for what I can't get on the ball. I'll buy another Roto Grip for sure. Any reports on the durability of this ball? Have only had it for a few games not, but am wondering about how many games I can get out of it. I am also curious about any comparisons anyone has with the Oracle, Epic or RS1. I recommend this ball highly!

i just drilled my RS-X and all i have to say is WOW. that ball is one of the most aggressive roto-grip balls i have even thrown. i drilled it out with a 4" pin the CG kicked out a half inch with a balance hole 3" from the CG. i bowled a second shift league (a lot of carry down). the solid coverstock made the ball have a consistent roll with a predicatble breakpoint. i was throwing third arrow breakpoint 10 boards and the ball recovery was amizing . my first roto ball and i love it. it didnt want to jump when it hit the dry part of the lane and it could recover in the oil.

I was very disappointed with this ball as I got it to replace my Silver Streak (great ball)! this thing is a good ball just not for me. I play the second arrow out to the 5 board and hope it comes back to the pocket. this is my third roto and I loved the first two. SS and Apocalypse both great balls. this ball needs little oil to make a strong turn. when this ball finds the dry boards watch out! has great power when it hits the pins. good ball for the money. could list about 8-10 balls I would recommend before this one! I don't mess with the coverstock on balls but might have to with this one! be careful with this ball it is a toss up if you will like it or not! great on lighter oil! just not for me!

I think this will be my best ball in my arsenal. The reason. Great pinaction on some careless shots. It absolutely destroys the pins with an almost explosive force. The thing I had to learn was to slow down my throwing of this ball. Let it do the work for me. Still Practicing with it. Have yet to use it in League. I am a average Joe bowler just starting out 6 weeks ago. My average is 125. I have used this ball in practice and shot 6 games above 170 and two games above 200 out of 10 games. My first two games were the usual 125 and 132. Was throwing the ball completely wrong. The same way I would throw my hammer and Inferno. Big mistake. I will follow up on this review this winter, as I am entering winter league soon.

15 lbs use pin out 2-3". Drilled with a 6 x 4 1/2 pin under middle for strong finish on backend This ball is stronger that Silver Streak. This ball excells because the match between core and cover.I like impact of this ball and the hook. Not only does it look good, the reaction is awesome. This ball finishes harder then i ever seen .The first time that I have to use this ball I have to win the tournaments with 299 and 801 during the three first games.I recommend this ball has all, because it can adjust itself has more condition Great job Roto-Grip(Hank and Roger) Thanks,

I had an RS-1 and liked that one so I purchased this thinking it would be a bit smoother and easier to read on a tougher shot. Well, wrong I was. This ball is fine on a freshly dressed pair, but get a little carry down or a spotty pattern and kiss your scores goodbye. On anything but a pristine shot this thing became so unpredictable it was laughable. Get the RS-1 if you feel that Roto Grip is the company you would like to patronize. Better yet, get the Ultra Sonic. Stay away from the RS-X.

I Love this ball. I had to get another one for really heavy oil. The backend of this ball is unbelievable!! In my opinion, this is the best ball that Roto Grip came out with. If you don't have this ball in your arsenal, drop everything and go out and get it. You won't be disappointed. It is not that expensive either. So if you are looking for the best BANG for your BUCK. The RS-X is the way to go. I get all of my equipment from Strike'em Proshop. Now I have a Sanded RS-X, out of the Box RS-X, RS-1, and Spare tire. The next ball I am going to get is the Ultra Sonic. Hopefully by then I will have the best arsenal. www.hitvbowling.com

Drilled this beauty with the pin under the ring and the cg 1" below the midline @45 degrees to the right. the wt hole is 6" from grip center at 7/8 size and 1.5" deep. I compared this ball to a polished absolute and vertigo with the same layouts. This ball reacted more aggressively than the absolute with a board to two more total hook. The hitting power was very strong. Compared to the vertigo it was more angular and hooked the same amount. All 3 revved very quickly and carried well, but they had some differences. The absolute carried better when pulled slightly into the oil where the vertigo and rs-x went a little too long. when missing right the rs-x and vertigo both responded stronger off the dry boards than did the absolute. This test was on a broken down sport shot playing 7 out to a breakpoint of 2-3 at about 35-40 feet. All in all the rs-x was very angular and hooked and carried similarly to these other balls yet costs considereably less.A very welcome addition the an already str

Let me just start out by saying this ball is a perfect fit into my arsenal. I drilled this ball 4x3 which put the mass bias strong and the pin to the right of and slightly above my ring finger. I threw this bal after leadue on the men's league house shot ( a little more oil than for the mixed and womens leagues). This ball got through the heads very clean, read the midlane and turned up to the pocket with devastating hook and hit. I threw this ball againd an X factor Ace, X-Factor Friction, And 2 RS-1's All drilled with the pin 4 1/2 inches from PAP and mass bias strong. This ball was anywhere from 5-8 boards stronger than all of them. As with a previous reviewer I think that the combination of an Oracle , this ball and an RS-1 makes a very good arsenal. I liked this ball well enough that I have ordered 2 more for mysel and will be drilling 3 more this week for other bowler

This ball is amazing.......Not only does it look good, the reaction is awesome. This ball finishes harder then i ever seen. It is also very forgiving. It will give you one or two boards to the right. If you miss left, just be prepared for the snap at the backend. I shot plus 64 for three games right out of the box. Now my arsenal is set....... All you need is a Oracle, RS-X, and a RS-1and you can't go wrong. Roto Grip, two thumbs up as usual............
