Roto Grip Wild Streak Bowling Ball

CORE... Creating the Mutated Rotary™ weightblock was a long time coming. After countless request to re-introduce weightblocks of the past, it was time to configure a new higher RG symmetrical shape in order to produce more length and more down lane shape in the HP3 line. COVER... The SureTrax-S19™ coverstock is a brand new formulation to the Roto Grip line. This chemically enhanced formulation will provide more traction than eTrax™, but will not be as early and grabby like MicroTrax™. This material will provide a new look on the lane for Roto Grip. CONDITION... We were long past due in creating a higher RG symmetrical ball for the HP3 line. Between the new cover and the new core, we have further expanded the range of versatility in the HP3 line of balls. This ball will excel on medium to medium heavy conditions providing a totally different reaction down lane than you are used to seeing in the HP3 line.

The new compliment to the Roto Grip In the Idol line that is a new HP3 ball the new Wildstreak. This ball features the SureTrax-S19 Coverstock wrapped around the Mutated Rotary Core. The Wildstreak that I have is drilled about 4 1/2 inches away from my pap with the pin over my bridge which is a standard layout for me. What I love about this ball is it's smoother and more controllable than the Idol which is very impressive because the Idol is in everyone's bag simply because of how smooth it is! This Wildstreak will be a great ball to blend out the lane on the fresh!

Round Holes No Grips Proshop – Ball Review Ball: Rotogrip WildStreak Layout: 5.75x35 Surface: Box Finish Lane Condition: THS medium volume Tester: Andrew Average: 230 I wasn't sure what to think of the Wildstreak when it was released. The high RG and high differential core wrapped around a strong coverstock is something new in the lineup. The WildStreak's reaction shape is so unique that I feel like I can't live without it now. I would describe the WildStreak reaction as a Phase II with a stronger reaction downlane. I've had some time to put about 40 games on the WildStreak on both sport and league conditions. My first time throwing the ball in league, I shot 300/800. It perfectly blends the over/under I often see on our house shot. Then, I bowled a tournament on a 40ft 4:1 tournament pattern. The Wildstreak shined on this condition as well. It had enough coverstock to handle the volume of oil and enough motion off the back of the pattern to carry consistently for me all day! The Wild Streak for me is one of those balls that is best on a fresh or a dry house shot or a short length/low volume tourney shot. Out of the box surface is sufficient for lane play in either of these instances. If I were to compare it to something, it would be a Storm All Road or maybe a Hustle type of reaction. Not jerky or a monster hook, but a more smooth, controllable motions for either high rev players, or slow speed players to get the ball further down the lane before it makes its move. The hitting power is strong for both. A little polish on this one and you will store a little more energy for the back end reaction. A good gap filler in ones tourney bag.

Length:42 Volume: High Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):THS Rev Rate: 450 Ball Speed: 17 mph PAP: 5 1/16 x 3/4 up Introducing the Wild Streak, the newest release in the HP3 line. The Wild Streak uses the new SureTrax-S19 and the new Mutated Rotary core. The layout I used was 5 x 5 x 2 which put the pin right above both fingers. The Wild Streak bridges the gap between the Idol and Idol Pro perfectly! For me the Idol can be a little to early and the Idol Pro can be to clean, well the Wild Streak blends the pattern out really well. I've found that this ball excels really good when the lanes get weird and you need that extra bit of control. This is now a mainstay in my tournament arsenal and I see it staying there for quite awhile. Earon Vollmar Roto Grip Amateur Staff

Roto Grip Wildstreak Layout: 4 x 4 x2 Storm buffer layout Rev Rate: 325 rpm, 7 degree of axis tilt, 40 degree of axis rotation Testing information: 40 foot THS (medium to light volume) Bowling Center: Fulton Bowling Center Kegel Machine – Brunswick Anvilane The Roto Grip Wildstreak utilizes the Mutated Rotary Core and SureTrax-19 solid coverstock. The first thing I noticed while drilling the Wildstreak was the thick shell. The Wildstreak is designed without a core material allowing for an extra thick cover. I believe this allows the ball to hit harder, which has always been my opinion of thick shelled bowling balls. The Wildstreak was about 3 and 2 deeper than the MVP balls. I didn't see the unpredictability that others have mentioned they see when they miss their target or miss the release. The Wildstreak was forgivable on the house shot and carry was good. I can see it working well in team event at the USBC Open Championships. This is a great addition to the HP3 line. Visit your local Storm VIP Pro Shop! #Stormnation #SquadRG

Roto Grip Wild Streak Coverstock: SureTrax-S19™ Solid Weight Block: Mutated Rotary™ The newest addition to the HP3 line, the Wild Streak. I started with mixed feelings about this ball came before I threw it, when I saw the 2.60 RG. I was a bit curious to see what a solid with a high rg like that would roll for me. After reading in and getting a little more understanding of the weight block, it made more sense (high rg being required for the design). The Wild Streak starts to move earlier than I expected. Later midlane, strong, and smooth. Everything a tournament ball should be. This one will be shot-specific for me. Not something I will start with very often. What I have seen is that it is a great drop down from my Gravity Evolve. I can switch from the Evolve to the Wild Streak, move 1 board right, and I won't miss a beat. Great fit for me. I can see this being a useful piece for me for a while.

This newest ball from Roto Grip comes with a whole new cover and core combination. The mutated Rotary core comes with an RG of 2.60 and a differential of 0.048 with the SureTrax-S19 cover and 3000 grit finish. First impressions of throwing this ball were actually kind of shocking. For having such a high RG, it was a lot earlier than I expected but if came around it I noticed it could open the lane up more and really make it angle. This is a ball that I can do multiple things with my hand and it will respond accordingly. This ball will be a tournament bowlers dream, to keep using longer in blocks.

One, two, three solids in the HP3 line? What is this madness? Not to worry - the Roto Grip Wild Streak is a massive departure from everything else in the Storm/Roto family and looks to be an amazing tournament ball. It's a new cover (SureTrax-S19 Solid at 3000-grit Abralon) and a fairly familiar core (Mutated Rotary at 2.60 RG and 0.048 diff in 15#, a modified version of the Nomad core). The cover feels a pinch stronger than the Idol Pro's ETrax-S19 cover so it's got plenty of consistency in oil, but that very high RG core and high differential helps this ball provide a buttery-smooth motion downlane. Seriously - this is !Q Tour Solid levels of downlane control and is already a serious contender for my USBC Open Championships bag next summer. It provides an absurd amount of control but somehow still drives through the pins even on longer low-volume patterns where I'd expect it to struggle in that regard. It also responds very well to physical changes with release and hand position, so for the serious tournament bowler on harder patterns this one is going to be an invaluable tool. Rev-dominant bowlers who see too much midlane flip from something like an Idol Pro will love this ball as well! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91Jr-sRfj4M

The Roto Grip Wild Streak is the ball in the HP3 line. The Wild Streak uses the new Mutated Rotary Symmetrical Weight block wrapped with the brand new SureTrax-S19 solid coverstock. RG intent was to have High RG symmetrical in their HP3 lineup. With 2.60 RG is a very High RG ball. I drilled mine 4 x 5 x 1 pin up. For me with box surface I get the predictable and very controllable motion. But the Wild Streak has a unique ball reaction with the shape downlane. Its kind of a hard acring motion. It's not a ball that you would open up the lane with, a ball that you keep the pocket in front of you. Its stronger overall than say the Idol Pro in overall strength but below the Halo's. In the matchmakers we have ran recently the Wild Streak was big hit with bowlers. They were a little hesitant to throw it but they really liked the motion they saw. A great Addition to the HP3 RG line. Brian Watson Storm Pro Shop Staff PAP 5 up 1 1/8 Tilt - 17 Speed 16 RPM's 400

My first impression out of the box was the colors. It is dark purple, grey and black and they look great. The Wild Streak is the first ball in some time that uses a weight block, not a core. The difference is a weight block is surrounded by coverstock only. There is no inner core. This increases the Coefficient of Restitution which increases pin carry. When throwing the Wild Streak I couldn't help but notice how similar it is to a Storm Phaze II. There is a slight difference, the Wild Streak is more forward off the end of the pattern whereas the Phase II has more pop downlane. I think this piece will be good for soupy house conditions and medium sport conditions. Players will enjoy using this ball because of how controlled it is. For speed dominant players or rev challenged players, this ball will be a great benchmark piece-- not too strong but not as weak as a Winner Solid. For guys who are rev dominant or throw it slower, you can use this on medium to heavy oil conditions-- it will provide great midlane read with a controlled downlane reaction.

I drilled up my WILD STREAK at 45* x 4" x 30*. I wanted to make sure that I got this high rg ball rolling a little quicker than the high rg STORM FIGHT I had drilled a couple of seasons ago. I have been throwing this one at box finish of 3000 abr. The WILD STREAK for me seems very much along the same shape and motion as the IQ TOUR EDITION solid. I have a tough time getting my IQ SOLID to hit. When it is in play for me, I have other options that seem to hit better. I see the WILD STREAK different as it lets me shut my angles down but hits a lot stronger for me doing this. When I shut my angles down with a PHAZE II or IDOL, I get some energy loss up front and ping tens a lot. I can see the WILD STREAK letting me get some more energy retention further thru the midlane resulting in improved carry when I shut it down and go more direct. I can see the shape as being controllable and will let players with stronger releases drill it with stronger lay outs to take advantage of the smoothness.

When information was released on the Wild Streak I did not know what to expect. Given the high RG, 2.60, I was afraid the ball would travel 60'. Was I wrong. The SureTrax-S19 coverstock allows the Wild Streak more than enough traction in the mid's. The Wild Streak is discernibly cover dominant to core. This ball will work on both fresh and transition. It will allow you to play more up the lane, and then as the lanes transition, there will be no issue free hooking it and opening the lane up. The Wild Streak will go longer than the original IDOL, however, it won't be as responsive to friction like the IDOL Pro. The cover on the Wild Streak allows this ball to play on a multitude of conditions from sport, to house, to heavy, to medium volume oil conditions. This ball will be a must have for all levels of players. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSkw9LmsMyM&feature=youtu.be

Ball Specs: Roto Grip Wild Streak 3000 SureTraxS19™ Solid Reactive Weight Block Mutated Rotary™ Core (Symmetrical) Color Purple/Grey/Black Review: This ball fits very nicely between the Idol and MVP lines that RG has to offer. If you currently own an idol you will see this being the transition ball for when you need something a little less aggressive down lane. We see the ball reaction comparable to a less aggressive version of the Phaze 2, a very popular ball on the circuit currently. If you are looking for something to fill the gap between your "go to" and your "light oil" then this is definitely the ball. A consistent and confident shape down lane with significant power through the pins. Kyle & Joel Johnson Roto Grip Pro Shop Staffers joel@parklanes.net kyle@parklanes.net www.RotoGrip.com #SquadRG

I feel like this ball is going to make a lot of noise and not just because of the name. Roto Grip is introducing the Wild Streak. The Wild Streak is a brand new addition to the HP3 line with an RG of 2.60 and a differential of .048. The Wild Streak is the perfect step down from the Idol and Idol Pro and fits right above the MVP line. What you'll see out of the Wild Streak is the same smooth motion as you see from the Idol series, but not as responsive downlane. For me, I absolutely love the Idol line. I throw the Idol's every chance I get, but sometimes they are just too much and they force me to get into weaker balls too quick. With this Wild Streak, it fits that gab for me and I no longer feel like I'm transitioning into cleaner balls too fast. This ball also handles surface changes very well. Out of the box, it does out father dull and its perfect for needed a cleaner, smoother option, but if you want to bring the surface up or maybe even put some polish on it, it's a fantastic option to have a solid polished ball. It still has the teeth because of the solid coverstock, but will also be clean and never miss the midlane no matter the surface. You'll see what I mean once you get your hands on one of these! Wild Streak - RG 2.60 - DIFF 0.048 - The Wild Streak is definitely lived up to the Wild part. This latest Roto Grip release features the Mutated Rotary core with the SureTrax-S19 solid cover. This ball has the highest RG of 2.60 of any ball in the Roto Grip like which allows it get through the front of the lane very clean but the cover is where this ball becomes special. The SureTrax-S19 solid cover still allows the Wild Streak to hook in the mid lane and keep continuing through the pins. I see this being the first ball out of my bag on those medium to heavy oil patterns in high frictions centers when the stronger asymmetrical and the original Idol are to early. Excited to play more with this ball and see how it reacts with surface changes but I see this being on a lot of racks throughout the country very soon.

WOW This ball is something different. This is a motion that we have no seen out of a roto grip ball and I'm loving it. This ball is very clean down lane and a super predictable shape down lane. Most comparable I would say to a phaze2 but less aggressive in the back. Due to the fact that this ball is all cover stock and weight block it absolutely destroys the pins.Shots that I thought I would not get the 10 pin out I carried simply amazing. This Is a ball to get a couple of and hide for the future

The Wild Streak is the latest ball in the HP3 line, and a "wild" departure from what we've seen for the last several years. The HP3 line has been known for low RG values, and strong, rolly, continuous shapes from balls like the Dare Devil and Idol series. The Wild Streak jumps up into Hyroad-esque numbers with a higher RG and medium to high differential, and creates a completely different shape on the lanes from anything else in the Roto catalog. It gets easy length up front, which you'd expect, but the stronger cover helps prevent it from being too long, while at the same time avoiding a core/cover imbalance. It's also very responsive to physical changes. The Idol series does what it's going to do and is very good at hiding physical mistakes, while the Wild Streak gives you full control over the ball reaction, with the caveat that if you miss, you're probably going to pay for it. Or in other words, the better you are, the better the Wild Streak will be. This makes it an excellent ball for tougher conditions because it will allow you to manipulate the reaction and be much more precise than you can be with other balls that have more dominant characteristics.

The Roto Grip Wild streak utilizes the Mutated Rotary core and the SureTrax-19 solid cover. The Wild streak is designed with a core not a weight block (think HyRoad) allowing for an extra thick shell. A thicker shell tends to increase the length of the ball motion. Because of this extra length, the Wild Streak doesn't pick up the front part of the lane as quickly as most solid symmetrical balls. Even with this extra little length, the Wild Streak is still very smooth and predictable. I think this ball will be great on medium patterns.
