I bowl in a travel league, 3 games with practice, then we switch lanes and bowl 3 more, only without any further practice. After the 4th-5th game, a pair can get pretty dry with 5 bowlers on each lane. No amount of oil should be expected to last and so far none has. I was looking for something that I could go straighter to the pocket with, and ROTO-GRIP gave me this option. Great ball for the price, if you can stomach the color and the crap you have to hear about the color. I have had several comments about this ball, some about the AWFUL color, many more wondering what I was throwing that could get to the pocket so straight, and still have the power needed to carry 10 pins consistently. So far, I have turned one person onto one of these, and another is looking for one in 14 lb. but is not having any luck.

One of the best ball med-dry lane ball I ever own. Got this last year to replace my power groove. At frist I tought this ball will be a bone dry conditional ball ,and Once I threw it on league shot, this ball shock me. This mofo went long and hook hard bACK to the pocket. I love this ball compare to my power groove. Don't GET fool with this ball, is cheap but with kick your ass all night. Great money ball. Keep up the good work roto grip. Can't wait to get another one! WORD TO YOUR MOTHER!

I got this ball for drier conditions. The pin was 4 1/2 out with the starting top weight being 1 3/4oz. I put the pin in my track and pushed the CG out so the mass bias was near the mid/strong position. This ball goes long but when it turns the corner it just keeps on coming. The recovery really surprised me. I have thrown it on second shift shots for the most part. The center of the lane was still wet and the ball just slides in that situation. When I came through it right and got the ball towards the dry it made it back to the pocket

This ball is drilled to hook a small amount but still be enough for medium oil. I polished it to make it hook later, and so I can use it for lighter oils when my Black Ice is to aggressive on the backend. Ball is drilled with the pin in my ring finger, and the cg swung out. There is a weight hole, obviously. The ball hook in dry, but doesn't over react. It has a nice arcy smooth roll on it that is great for when those dry lane balls are just to agressive on the backend. There is almost no midlane read on this ball, which could be trouble, but it still is a great hitting power when it enters the pocket. I shot 299 with it the second day I had it <-- theres a plus right there

I bought the Mercury hoping for a dry lane ball that performs. It takes a good amount of flare to get good carry on any condition. But for dry lanes, too much flare would be a little too much backend. With my Big Hit Pearl, it was clean through the driest lanes but due to the low differential, .020, lacked in the carry department. I started to think, the reason the Power Grooves from Brunswick get so much carry is their medium amount of flare, .044. But, they tend to be snappy on burned out lanes. I decided to look for a ball that had a high RG like both balls so they retain their energy for the backends, and having a differential that was in the middle of the Hits and Grooves, around .030. Of course it will need a mild coverstock with weak drilling and for a bonus, maybe a readable 2 piece core but that might be stretching it. The answer to my problem was the Mercury, it fit all of the requriments stated above. This is a very unique ball. It is the most readable entry leve

Wow, this ball has more back end than anything else I have bought. I have had Brunswick's Fuse, Hammer's Big Blue and Columbia's The Beast and it beats them all. Well worth it for any shot. I liked the old coloration on the ball, and the newer ball doesnt seem to have that much back end too it. If you can find the birghter ball, BUY IT!!!! Even though i hook the ball alot, like i mean alot, it still carrys everything, this is the real messenger. A must see, i got the Mercury trend started at my center and everyone is happy with it.

Mercury is my second ball from Roto. The first one has been quite some time ago with my passed Rush.Actually Rush is one of the headache balls that I had purchased before. And this time I would like to re-try Roto one for self confident recovery...So,there is Mercury.(I was attracted by it's milky colors!) The Mercury goes as deep as I predict it for. Then the revolution just caused me some shocks because I ever demand such a rolling stone. But it did great reaction in the light front and dry out back part of lanes.Hitting power is not bad...but not so wonderful, either.Lot of ten pins when you put soo much side rolls on it.And easily get in trouble when lanes broke out/carry down. I gave it 9 of 10 pins for a self confident recovery for Roto balls.Great job on the color...Yes!I did like it no matter it will lead me for high games or not!!

I got this ball after talking with bill from buddies pro shop, i told him i wanted a light oil ball because my house shot lately has been dry, he told me this would be the ball, and boy was he right, this ball hits the pins so hard, it reacts like no other light oil ball ive ever seen. this was my first roto grip ball besides there spare tire i have ever thrown, and if the rest of there epuiptment is as good as this ball i think im going to have to try out other roto grip balls. i am very happy with this ball and would recomend it to anyone wanting a solid light oil ball.

I drilled this ball up with the Pin and CG 4 1/2 inches from my PAP (Positive Axis Point). No weight hole needed. I tested this ball on a variety of drier lane conditions and find this ball to be a very good all round ball. I am able to make hand adjustment and speed adjustment without lossing hit. I think this is a super ball for the money. With the core design, this ball has a smooth arcing motion to the pocket and was very easy to read and make adjustments. If you are looking for a drier lane condition ball, and like the smooth arcing motion, the Roto Grip Mercury should fit your game very well. Any questions, please email me at Bill@BuddiesProShop.com

I had this ball drilled to go LONG for dry conditions........ When i threw this ball, it hooked a lot more than i expected it to. The backend recovery is unbelievable. It really rolls up to the pocket hard. Another good thing is the carry. I didn't leave a whole lot of ten pins when i smashed the pocket. This ball is very forgiving and affordable.......If you didn't get one yet. Now is the time. To Roto-Grip, I think you guys are doing a real good job with all of the new weight blocks and coverstock. I expect to see a lot more success on the PBA tour and the Regional tour. ROTO-GRIP IS THE BEST!!! www.hitvbowling.co
