The Forge™ Flare brings the heat with solid reactive technology unlike anything ever seen before in the MOTIV® line! Designed for use on medium-heavy oil conditions, it provides unparalleled traction in the front of the lane, without sacrificing down lane reaction. The ability of the Forge™ Flare to shape so easily in higher oil volumes is possible because of new Coercion™ MXC (MaXimum Continuation) Solid Reactive cover stock. It is the strongest solid shell ever created by MOTIV®. Most impressive is the continuation from such a strong cover. The Forge™ Flare partners this new cover technology with the symmetrical Detonator™ core, which is utilized to provide a low RG and high differential. The result is a fast revving, strong, and continuous bowling ball with massive track flare potential. When To Use: Speed Dominant: Often, speed dominant bowlers are forced to use an asymmetric bowling ball to limit the skid phase as much as possible. Sometimes, this means sacrificing continuation. By combining this unbelievably strong cover with a symmetrical core, the bowler will be able to rely on the shell to slow the ball down without sacrificing continuation at all. Balanced: This is the ball that a tweener dreams of. A ball so strong that they are able to move left on high volume patterns and see shape instead of having their shim taken away by the higher rev players. The Forge Flare opens a new portion of the lane for fresh oil and early transition in heavy oil for balanced bowlers. Rev Dominant: Rev dominant players will find that they can shape a Forge Flare with ease in a way that no other solid cover ball has ever allowed them on heavy oil.

Big traction. Endless Continuation. Extra Smooth. I have a tamed down, control type, layout on my Forge Flare and this ball just doesn't stop turning in the soup. You're going to see the Flare read the lane early because of the Coercion MXC coverstock paired up with the low RG of the Detonator weight block inside. The high differential of the Detonator weight block is what keeps the ball continually hooking as it goes down the lane. This ball does not stop hooking. If you're speed dominant, you're going to love that the cover is strong enough to read the lane correctly. If you're rev dominant, you're going to love that the cover does not overreact when it starts to make a move and keeps the reaction extremely smooth. Billy Wolf MOTIV Staff Member Wisconsin

Video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ba9h[INVALID]VzFw&t=9s Strengths Traction. The 2000 OOB surface provides a smooth shape with plenty of continuation, along with its heavy rolling traction. Coercion MXC cover rolls extremely early, making Forge Flare ideal for heavier patterns. Forge Flare has a continuous heavy arc roll on the backend, in most cases strong weaponry will muscle up too early and stop however this is not the case with Forge Flare. Weaknesses MXC is an extremely big coverstock. Lower ball speeds may find Forge Flare too big, because Forge Flare is so heavy rolling once the pattern fades up front you may find yourself moving your feet or putting it up. Summary The Forge Flare is very useful in a few different areas. Lower rev rate bowlers can find all the hook they need with the box finish, while more rev-dominant players can use the Forge Fire to blend out wet/dry conditions to avoid an over/under reaction. Forge Flare is the strongest out of the previous two, the core remains the same however MXC is the difference maker. On heavier patterns Forge Flare controls the breakpoint and creates a smoother shape to that of Forge Fire, bigger rev rates like myself will enjoy using it to even out wet/dry pattern creating a bigger footprint at the breakpoint because of MXC. If you're in the market for a heavy rolling, continuous, even weapon look no further than Forge Flare. There is no extinguishing this Flare and although your opponents will not thank you for it. Your game will thank you for it. K.C. White II Motiv Staff Logo Infusion Staff

Are you ready for a little FLARE? The FORGE FLARE is the newest addition to the Forge line. This Forge is so much stronger than the other 2 in the line. That is because of the Coercion MXC Solid Reactive coverstock. This coverstock lets the ball hook up earlier in the oil and allows to ball to continue through the pins with crushing force. When looking into what I wanted out of this ball, I already knew this ball was going to be strong. However, I wanted to be able to throw this ball in league to help get everyone in my area excited about this ball. I drilled my 70x5x45 so that I can still get the strong reaction through the pins, but it allows me to control the pattern without the ball trying to overreact. Even with this drilling, the FORGE FLARE was still the strongest in my bag by 5 boards over the Jackal Flash. This ball is a game changer when it comes to high volume patterns since it can give you a little more forgiveness when you miss your mark. When I am bowling on higher volume oil patterns, I am usually in a zone to myself until the pattern starts to break down and the competition is slowly moving into that zone. This is a must have ball in your bag when it comes to competition on oil patterns 40ft and longer. KYE SHIPLEY MOTIV STAFF MEMBER CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA

Layout - 60 x 5.5 x 40 With the amount of success I've had with the Forge and Forge Fire, I instantly became excited upon details of the Forge Flare. Fittingly, I compared all three together. The immediate reaction I got after the few couple shots was "OMG this ball hooks!!" The downlane motion was more impressing to me as the amount of continuation for something this strong is simply unbelievable. Typically, balls that are this strong in cover have a tendency to go more forward on the backend - I can't think of another way to say that the Forge Flare defies this. It's fairly common for me to start with the original Forge on fresher patterns. While having the option to transition to the Forge Fire as the lanes transition, I now have the option to start deeper in the puddle or go to the Forge Flare as it is able to cover more boards without sacrificing any power downlane. The Forge Flare in simplest terms is the strongest symmetric ball ever produced by MOTIV Bowling, and I like it a lot. There is no style that this ball will not fit. From the rev dominant to the speed dominant, and all in between, the Forge Flare should be in everyone's arsenal. The ability of how well it handles the heavier volumes is impressive, especially when given the option to stand further into the puddle, and how it responds to the friction. The Forge Line, with no pun intended, just got that much stronger. Darryl Carreon MOTIV Staff / PBA Member

Layout 60 x 5 ½" x 60 Pure hook in a box. I could stop my review there and it would still be ample enough to describe the sheer power that the Forge Flare offers, but why not go further? Wrapping the new Coercion MX cover (2000 LSS) around the devastating Detonator core (2.47RG, .055Diff) has created an arsenal piece that can dig through the heaviest of patterns while delivering impressive pocket performance. I drilled my Flare with the expectation of having it dig early but still be continuous through the pins. It took me a while to actually test that ability because of how many shots I had to keep moving left just to get lined up! I threw my first shot with it on the same line that my Jackal Flash hit flush and I hit the four-pin head on (right hander). As I said, pure hook in a box. By the time I got lined up my Forge Flare was about 18-10 left of my Jackal Flash. After this, since the houses I bowl in do not have heavy volume sets, I took the ball down to 500 grit and then worked it back up to 2000. This created a smoother finish than how the ball comes out of the box and allowed me to square up my angles on our fresh patterns. Even after doing this the characteristics of the ball did not change, just how far down the lane it would go before turning left. Early hook and early roll is the name of the game. This cover and core combination create a strong force for early motion, chewing up the midlane to find (or just create) the friction. Once it gets its teeth sank into the lane, an extremely smooth motion towards the pocket happens that contains enough power to continue through the rack with energy to spare. The comment most said to me by those watching this ball is how they cannot believe a ball that hook so early, and so much, still plows through the pins without quit. The best part of this ball is that it is not reliant upon backend friction to hook. Whether the lanes are fresh, or you have urethane pushing oil down, the Forge Flare will hook before the end of the pattern so that you can control your transitions much better than those not throwing this beast. This is a true 'one' ball for anyone's arsenal. Trent Overbey In the Zone Pro Shop MOTIV Staff www.motivbowling.com

The new Forge Flare by Motiv is by far the most aggressive ball I have ever thrown. I waited until I had around 50 games on the Flare before writing a review to make sure this ball didn't begin to slow down any. The all new Coercion MXC cover has held up nicely with very little lane shine. The Flare digs early and often and still retains energy to be continuous through the pins. My Flare is drilled pin up and with my lower ball speed and lower rev rate, I'm still able to control this ball with ease. The yellow, red and black colors are certainly eye catching. What can I say but what a Beast. This ball is by far the hardest hitting ball i have drilled to date. But I will say you need oil for this ball. As soon as this ball eats thru the oil its ready to eat thru the pins. This is a great ball that I like to start with when bowling on heavy oil. Derek Dillon Motiv Staff

Motiv has taken the Detonator core and wrapped in a new version of the Coercion cover stock known as MXC Solid reactive. This combination creates a very unique ball reaction, Super early up front with good continuation for how early this ball hooks. This one-of-a-kind ball does have its drawbacks, it needs OIL. Where this one shines is when moving left in oil and needing to create shape, unlike big asymmetrical balls that quit once a player needs to migrate left. The Forge Flare has by far the strongest cover I have ever thrown from any company! When a symmetrical heavy oil ball is needed this one will outshine the rest with its ability to shape down lane in oil, allowing a player to stay with it longer during league or in a tournament. Everyone's reviews are going to start like this but it's true. This is by far the strongest ball I have ever thrown. Motiv has really come with something unique in the Coercion MXC cover. It reads the mid lane really early, has a smooth controlled shape and drives through the pins hard. The best part about this ball, for as strong as it is, I can continue to move left and the ball retains enough energy to drive through the 8 pin. This charcoal like cover is very slow to lane shine and reacts well to surface changes. I have one polished. It's cleaner in the front part of the lane and just as continuous the further left I go. The Forge Flare will fit a variety of different bowlers and is something you have to see to believe. David Konczal Motiv Staff

I've had the Forge Flare for a few weeks now and this is easily the earliest, biggest hooking symmetrical ball I have ever thrown. I have a tendency to throw the ball through the spot and find myself very tentative on longer oil patterns but with the new Coercion MXC cover on this ball, I have confidence that the ball will hook which allows me to be aggressive. My Flare has about 20 games on it now and the cover has minimal lane shine and still continues to dig in the oil. This is my favorite release from Motiv in 2020! Rocky Gonzalez Motiv Staff

The layout I used on the Forge Flare is 60x5 ¼ x65. I have never thrown a stronger symmetrical ball in my life! This ball will win plenty of tournaments. I was already able to find success with this ball, winning a Black Friday 10 game marathon tournament in Georgia. For how early this ball reads the pattern, you can find great continuation through the back part of the lane and through the pins. Most balls, when this early tend to struggle to continue on the back, the Forge Flare does not. When comparing the Forge Flare to other bowling balls, I would have to say the closest thing to it is an Alpha Jackal. Both balls for me see the midlane in about the same area, however where the Alpha Jackal tends to want to go forward, the Forge Flare will continue downlane. To me, this is truly the most unique bowling ball made by Motiv to date. Drew Crain Motiv Staff

This ball is a must have, the continuation is unbelievable! Most solids when if you get it right, it dies out and can't recover or hook the second it hits the friction and goes through the face, this ball is something else. It reads the mid lane and once it goes it DOES NOT STOP. By far my favorite for the beginning of a block! Get yours 12/9/2020! Motiv Staff - Tim Emmers

The Forge Flare is the STRONGEST ball I have ever thrown. I love this ball it can handle heavy oil like it doesn't exist. It never stops hooking throughout the entire lane and still saves it's energy for the pins. You need to get this one there has never been one like it. Hands down the strongest symmetric ball I've ever thrown! The Forge Flare combines the same detonator core that's seen in the original forge and forge fire, with a brand new solid reactive cover stock. This ball is going to be a game changer for me, because it allows me to move deeper into the lane and open my angles on fresh oil. This is possible because of how hard the ball digs in the middle of the lane and how continuous it is off the spot. Having a lower rev rate, I've always had to change ball speeds or manipulate my hand on fresh oil to get the ball to come off the spot, but the forge flare gives me the ability to keep my normal swing without sacrificing hook or hitting potential. Compared to the forge fire, the flare handles the oil more effectively and doesn't lane shine as quickly, meaning I can get deeper into blocks with it without having to make a ball change. This ball is a game changer for me, and will be for you too! Layout: 30 x 5 x 70 Devon Miller Motiv Staff

I never thought that a ball that was advertised as strong as it was would be something that would be of any use to me. My ball speed is already slow and already normally have a hard time getting stronger balls like this to corner down lane and get through the pins, but boy was I wrong. This ball lives up to all expectations and then some! The Forge Flare that I drilled was layed out with a 4 inch pin to my PAP, with a 70º VAL angle for me. This is a ball that I think many collegiate players are going to love as their 1 ball because it's a ball that I feel can be used from anywhere on the lane which is something that you wouldn't expect out of a ball that's this strong. I can back my hand out of it and roll it to play straight, but what really impresses me most about this ball is that even with the super strong cover that can handle the heaviest amounts of oil on the fresh, it corners when you need to move left, knock the finger holes out of it and it STILL gets through the pins. The Forge Flare is a ball that is going to go absolutely everywhere with me and can be used on a variety of conditions. House, long, short and everything in between, MOTIV hit it out of the park with this new cover and I can't wait to see what they put on it next!

Motiv Forge Flare I was a huge fan of both the Original Forge and the Forge Fire so going into this release I was pretty excited. The Forge Flare combines Motiv's strongest coverstock to date with Forge's Detonator core. This core cover combo allows the ball to dig into the lanes really early without losing any energy down lane on medium/heavy patterns. I used my go to layout on this ball with a 4.5' pin distance and this let me get left and really slow roll the whole lane without burning up down lane. Compared to the forge Fire it's about 1 to 2 arrows bigger for me. This is easily one of the strongest balls Motiv has made to date! The brand new Forge Flare from Motiv is strongest symmetrical balls that they have produced. The out of box surface is 2000 which makes the ball hook so early on the first couple of shots. My suggestion is to resurface it at 4000, let it lane shine and then resurface it again at 3000. The ball rolls so much smoother and will be a great option when there is heavy oil. Review: The Forge Flare is one of the newest releases from MOTIV Bowling. You want hook, but control as well then the Forge Flare belongs in your bag. The Flare brings together Detonator core and the new Coercion MXC Solid Reactive cover stock. This new cover stock is the strongest cover stock that MOTIV has ever made and will give the bowler strong continuation through the pins. Pairing this with the Detonator core will give the Forge Flare faster revving power and strong, continuous, ball motion that gives the pins no chance to stand. You want hook then look no further to the Forge Flare. Weight Block Detonator Cover Stock Coercion MXC Solid Reactive Finish 200 Grit LSS Comments: My first reaction in throwing the Forge Flare for the first time was straight speechlessness. Not many bowling balls have left me like that after throwing them for the first time but the Forge Flare was one of them. What can I say other than I can't believe people can make a bowling ball this strong and yet still be able to use it on any condition. I can use this as is on any condition because the hook is still quite controllable and I don't give the pocket away on any part of the lane. And the best feature of the Forge Flare is it doesn't lane shine at all and for me where I prefer surface on a bowling ball this is a big deal. Even when I took it down to 4000, it still didn't shine. All types of bowlers will love the Forge Flare because as lanes transition either by moving in or tightening up, the Forge Flare will still give you the continuation without giving away the pocket. Likes: Strong continuation through the pins; High flares; Doesn't lane shine Dislikes: None I recommend the Forge Flare for all types of bowlers. YouTube Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3sL7nTAYJ4 Description: The Forge Flare is the 3rd Forge created by MOTIV. The first was a solid, followed by a hybrid and now another solid. It continues to use the same Detonator Core in all 3 of them. The cover used on the latest installment is the new Coercion MXC Solid Reactive Coverstock. It's also the 2nd release utilizing 3 colors, which gives it some great shelf appeal. I feel MOTIV has been doing a great job on the aesthetics of the balls lately! Reaction: I used the original Forge quite frequently on challenging or sport patterns; for me there are better options out there for house conditions. However, the Forge Flare presents something different than the original, as it just flat out hooks more than anything we have. That being said, it still may not be something I personally use on house patterns, but because of how strong and early the Forge Flare is, there are plenty of bowlers out there that always seek the next big hooking ball. I will say this one will lap the field with a lot of other balls out there in terms of total hook. Most will agree when you get into the biggest hooking pieces, they hook so soon and sometimes present the problem that they don't ever appear to hook again after hooking in the front. This one hooks, hooks again and hooks some more. It's really nice to have a ball in your arsenal where you feel you'll always have enough hook when needed. I will also say after having this ball for a month that the surface didn't wear down quickly; it is taking a long time for it to lane shine. Until you throw this one, you won't understand how a ball this strong, with that much surface, can continue so much. Once you do though, you will see just how much it's capable of hooking. Comparisons: Comparing this ball against the original Forge isn't even a fair comparison. The Forge Flare outhooks it probably 7+ boards; the Forge Flare is earlier, wants to continue more and is clearly much stronger. The Forge Fire compliments the new Forge Flare, as they are opposites in terms of shape. The Forge Flare would be something you'd like more on a fresh or heavier pattern, with the Forge Fire being a better ball to transition to when you need more length or more shape down lane. Summary: Those looking to buy hook, look no further. It seems to be pretty driller friendly so far in watching several throw it with many different layouts. You won't have to pay the high performance price point either as it comes in at just under the top price point in bowling balls. For most, it will be strong, very strong and a very smooth piece when you are seeking some control. Mike Magolan MOTIV | Turbo

Bryan Ramsey Motiv Regional Staff This new forge flare is the perfect compliment to the forge fire. If the fire doesn't quite get there through the heavier oil rest assured the flare will have no issues. The flare is the single strongest symmetrical piece Motiv had ever had hit the lanes to this point. It's so strong and it picks up it's roll really early which is perfect for those higher volume patterns. I have played with the surface a tad, putting it at 4000 and it goes a tad longer but it's so smooth. Of course it still packs that pin deck power from Motiv that everyone knows and loves also. Add in it's the brightest ball Motiv has ever produced, the colors are awesome making it so easy to get a good read on your shoots. Once again another great addition to an already strong ball chart by the best company in bowling. #BestInTheBusiness #Motivnation
