This one is something special! It features a continuation of the Infusion Hybrid Reactive coverstock that was seen on the RipCord. It provides a more angular motion and quicker response to friction. This coverstock teamed up with the Forge Fire's symmetric weight block brings a new look compared to the previous Forge. For me, the Forge was a much earlier ball and something I could use to start on medium-heavy oil patterns. The Forge Fire is my transition ball when friction starts to develop and before I need to go to something weaker. MOTIV Staff Tyler Lewis

The Forge Fire is the first ball I was able to drill up and it sure made a huge impact on me. I drilled my Forge Fire 65x5x35. The biggest thing I love the most about this ball is how predictable the motion is for me. In league I am able to start with this ball and even through transition, I can keep moving left and throw this ball all 3 games and not lose any momentum. This is a benchmark ball for me in my bag and I will not go anywhere without it. I highly recommend getting this ball in your bag!

The layout I used on the Forge Fire is 50x4 3/4x35. This ball will catch people's eyes going down the lane! The colors are not the only thing unique about this ball. I was very pleased with how much recovery I had down lane with my misses. This ball is the first ball out of my bag for league on heavier oil house shots. I have always been a fan of lower RG balls with higher diffs. The Forge Fire takes surfaces adjustments really well. I prefer to keep mine at 2000 to make it a little smoother. Drew Crain Motiv Staff

Wow is the only way I can describe this ball. I have had it for a while and it has become a favorite and a staple in my bag. This is a hybrid version of the infusion cover found on the Rip Cord and this ball is just as good. The Forge Fire is a little bit earlier then the Rip Cord making them a great one-two combination. It's also cleaner the the Forge so if you already have the original, the Fire would be a great transition down from that ball. I will definitely have a few more of these as time goes on and it not going to hurt for you to have one as well.

The Motiv Forge Fire features the Detonator weight block previously found in the original Forge. They wrapped this core with the Infusion Hybrid and finished the cover at 4000 grit LSS. The Fire really revs hard, but does not lose energy as it comes off the back of the pattern. The cover allows this ball to retain some "pop" as you open your angles up. I have found that the Fire at 2000 grit is very useful in early games when you need something to pick up and still have some energy once it gets to the pin deck. For house shots, I prefer the Fire with some lane shine as it allows the ball stay clean in the fronts on medium house shots and still carry the dreaded corner as the night goes on. The Forge Fire is the newest in the Forge Line. It uses the Detonator core along with the infusion hybrid reactive coverstock. It comes at 4,000 LSS finish. This ball is an absolute beast. Everyone is matching up so well with this ball. I just recently held a Motiv Test Drive and almost everyone wanted to go home with this ball. The first night throwing this ball at my Thursday night center saw me throwing a 300 using this ball on the right lane and the Supra on the left lane. I also just shot 299 with this ball again on 12-5-19. This ball is going to be hard to take out of my bag during the upcoming tournament season I have scheduled. Kye Shipley MOTIV STAFF MEMEBER

With the ongoing successes I was having with the original Forge, I was instantly excited upon notification of the Forge Fire. It was fitting that I compared the two side-by-side. With a lower RG, I knew going in that the Detonator Core tries to create an early motion which allows for a controllable shape downlane. As the Forge has been a huge weapon for me on the fresher conditions, I based my layout for the Forge Fire to be used primarily as the lanes transition. The Forge Fire was quite surprising at first with how much more motion it creates downlane. The core and cover combination is amazing together because it gives me a controlled view of the lane, and allows me to attack with a bit more aggression downlane. The Forge Fire will easily become one of my favorites, especially within the current lineup (not that any of it is bad). To simply put it, I've never seen a lower RG Hybrid or Pearl, perform so well. The controllability and aggressive is highly impressive. With the numerous patterns that I encounter, I will definitely have plenty of use for the Forge Fire both now and in the future. Paired with the original Forge, this 1-2 combination is going to be hard to be beat. Darryl Carreon MOTIV Staff / PBA Member

This ball is a great compliment and fits perfectly between the Ghost and the Villain Scorn. The ball is clean through the front and the coverstock is versatile to where you can hit it with a 2000 pad for a little earlier hook and smoother reaction or hit it with a 4000 pad to get it down the lane a little more while still being very controllable on the back end. The ball does not overreact to friction and it is a must have for your tournament bag. Tim Emmers Motiv Staff https://youtu.be/wziyJXKEzIk

The Forge Fire is a great addition to the ever growing amazing lineup of Motiv balls! This ball gets thru the fronts with ease, reads the mid lane and and gets into a nice heavy roll into the pocket. It is a strong ball but not over reactive off the end of the pattern. Definitely something you can get left with and not worry about losing any carry. Compared to the og Forge, it is longer and stronger, whereas the Forge picks up earlier and has a rounder shape to it. The 2 layouts I used 60x5.75"x30 which puts the pin above the bridge and 50x3.5"x35 which is a stronger layout with the pin just right of my ring finger, making the ball reaction very round. Its also the ball featured in the attached YouTube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucafOz74m6k Brent Neumann Motiv Staffer/Pro Shop Operator Right Handed Ball Speed 17 Rev Rate 329 Tilt 13* Rotation 75* PAP 4-7/8 over, 1/8 down

Forge Fire Core: Detonator Coverstock: Infusion Hybrid Reactive Finish: 4000 Grit LSS Layout 70 x 4 x 30 Forge Fire (noun): 1. A high performance Infusion Hybrid Reactive coverstock which offers a faster reaction to the friction on the lane than its predecessor. 2. Utilizes the low RG and high differential symmetrical Detonator core. This ball is great at creating angle for various types of bowlers when facing medium to heavy oil. In the Forge Fire you have the same continuation that was presented to you in the original Forge and while they are similar in terms of the Detonator core they do differ at the coverstock and box finish, the Forge coverstock is Coercion HFS at Coercion HFS 3000 LSS and the Forge Fire is Infusion Hybrid Reactive at 4000 LSS. Forge Fire will provide you more length and backend motion than that of Forge, however Forge will provide you with more overall hook and is earlier upfront due to Coercion being the stronger coverstock of the two. Forge Fire will allow you to create more angle of heavier patterns because of its quicker response time to friction to that of the original Forge, this is what makes Fire Forge a great complement to the original Forge. Another major plus about Fire Forge is its color scheme as you will be able to tell what it's going to or not going to do, you can see it go through all three of its phases because of its bright color scheme. Using the combination of a burgundy scotch brite pad and a 2000 abralon pad with greatly increase its continuation and the angularity will become slower and more controllable than what it is out of box, ideal for those that want a slower pace of ball motion. Strengths Forge Fire is very responsive at the breakpoint and although it is not our strongest weapon in terms of providing down lane motion, it offers plenty of motion off the spot. Fire Forge provides a big move from a backend standpoint, for what it provides it was still easy to control the pocket. Weaknesses Forge Fire can produce too much hook for your liking encountering heavy friction. Fire Forge does as advertised and is a valuable benchmark. I use mine in tandem with Golden Jackal as the ball motion is similar, I've maintained success on a variety of conditions save for extreme friction. Don't worry about playing with fire. That's your opponents job. I encourage you to give Fire Forge a look. Your game will thank you for it. K.C. White II Motiv Staffer

Layout: 60x4.5x40 With a low RG and higher Diff combined with a hybrid cover stock, the Forge Fire gives a very predictable shape through the middle of the lane, with a lot of length and more back end motion. I'm able to throw this ball on heavier oil patterns and it still has incredible shape down lane and continuation through the pins, which is something that was previously missing from my arsenal. If you're looking for a higher end ball with more down lane motion, or are a speed dominant player that has trouble with carry, look no further than the new Forge Fire! Devon Miller MOTIV Staffer

The original Forge is a great ball for heavier oil when you want a smooth, round, predictable shape. It has bailed me out of a lot of tough situations since it was released. The Forge Fire takes that rolly core that was on the original Forge, but puts the same hybrid coverstock on it that was on the RipCord. The result is a ball that has the ability to read the pattern well, but gives you more length and more flip on the backend to help maximize your carry. If you liked the Forge and want something to compliment it when you move left, or even if you didn't think the Forge would have been good for you because you wanted more flip in your higher-end ball, then the Forge Fire is definitely something you'll want to look at. It's had great success on the PBA Tour as well. Plus that awesome bright yellow!!! I have put together a YouTube video review of the Forge Fire, which you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_v-mvlE5KOw Jeff Piroozshad MOTIV Staffer

Forge Fire What to say about this ball... I drilled my FIRE, 70 X 4.75 X 45. This puts the pin just above the middle of my bridge. My hopes with this drilling was to utilize the Core/Cover combo to generate some length and stronger down lane motion on longer/heavier volume patterns. The OG Forge is a great for keeping angles smaller on these types of patterns and I wanted a compliment to this ball when the pattern needs to be opened up a bit or stronger over all motion is needed. The FIRE is straight up a beast. The Core/Cover combo produces a ball that clears the fronts easily, reads the mid lane really well and allows the dry on the back end to be read really hard. This to say, is a really strong, clean ball that still allows you to stay in the puddle and not loose hitting power and sees the lane when the oil is present. What I have seen on THS is something that allows me to start way deeper than most anyone and send the FIRE right to the dry. I have had to change releases a bit to allow the ball to really pop off the back end. When I roll the ball more end over end this ball is super strong and sees the lane a bit too much for the THS. When I finally was able to see some real wax and volume WOW... This ball really shinned for me. I was able to really open the lane up and send this to the dirt with out fear of the ball not getting back. It is my belief the FIRE is going to be in my bag for a really long time. Some of the other releases over the years that have stayed in my bag are the OG Shock, QZ2 backdraft and Thrash. This ball felt like one of those instantly, not because they of the way it rolled but because it really fits a purpose. I feel bowlers of all types will benefit from having this nugget in the bag. If your heavy handed and like to be a little strong on the speed you will be able to utilize the easy revving core. If you are a little slower ball speed and have some rev rate the cover will help you clear the fronts and not over read the mid lane. All in all this really feels like one of those balls that could win ball of the year. Clayton Mohr Motiv Staff

Forge Fire I usually do not match up well with hybrid covers, but the Infusion Hybrid Reactive cover and low rg Detonator core to me make the Forge Fire a must have... Whether you bowl mostly house or are a tournament player, this ball will allow you to open up the lane in ways pearl or reactive separately may start to burn up or be too slow. I'm a rev dominant, medium speed player, and the Forge Fire allows me to create much steeper angles when the back ends get torched, while also giving great continuation. The Forge Fire has been an instant first ball out of the bag for me since making its debut. It has become my new bench mark, although it is on the stronger side. The Fire has the angular Infusion cover that was first used on the Ripcord, allowing bowlers to create angle on heavier oil patterns. This cover gives a quicker response to friction, therefore creating more angle than the original Forge. I've been able to use this ball on your typical house shot, playing further left on the lane than I normally can on fresh with other balls. I've seen a good transition from trident abyss to forge fire to ripcord throughout a block of tournament play. When I moved left to a point I can't create the angle I needed with the abyss, this ball was there to get through the front and give me strong back end without having to really change where I want to play on the lanes. That last statement is huge for me, I'm a bowler who would rather change balls than move from an area of a lane that I've already become comfortable in if I can. I've seen great things from the Forge Fire from a variety of players, and it is definitely a stand out with the color scheme. Go out, get one, and shoot some scores. Danielle Merino Motiv staff

Layout: 55 x 5" x 25 Born from the combined might of two new and exciting technologies, the MOTIV Forge Fire has burst onto the scene for those looking for a medium-heavy oil ball. To create a new standout ball that would combat these conditions, a marriage of previous 2019 releases took place. The Detonator core (2.47RG, .055Diff) first used in the Forge has been brought back because of its hard-revving action and flare-producing potential. The Infusion reactive cover was then beefed up into a hybrid version (finished at 4000 LSS) in order to provide more surface traction in the oil while still utilizing its natural quick response time when friction is found. While that stand out yellow and burgundy color is amazing, it's the reaction on the lane that has wowed me the most. Having enjoyed my Forge quite a bit, I laid the Fire out the same way figuring that the VAL angle and the quicker responding shell would allow me to open up the lane more than that original; oh it did. Even on a fresh THS you can see the ball starting to churn early in the midlane thereby helping to read and blend the pattern a little bit. Even with that effect happening, the Infusion coverstock still retains an impressive amount of energy allowing for a pronounced motion off the friction. This rare combination of midlane control with aggressive backend finish creates an extremely versatile ball that has allowed me to attack the lane at a multitude of angels across multiple arrows. The most impressive showing I have had to date was when I started game one laying down at 18 and crossing at 14 then finishing the three-game set still throwing the Fire laying down 33 and crossing 22. For comparison, when throwing my original Forge I could start the day on a similar line but would have to ball down in game two because the angle of attack just became too much for the ball to make the turn and slap out the ten. I have also found that the Fire reads a solid two to three feet sooner than my Rogue Assassin even though it has a stronger pin to PAP layout (4"). The only time I have truly run into trouble with this ball to date is when there is not enough oil in the heads to get the ball down the lane. The aggressive combination of cover and core necessitates that oil be plentiful up front to unleash this ball's full potential. To me the Forge Fire is an aggressive benchmark ball. If you need something that will hook in the oil that will also give you a bit of forgiveness by creating room with response to downlane friction, this ball is a must have in your bag. If you want to be seen this is the ball that will get everyone's attention. The kicker is, that performs even better. The OG Forge is one of my favorite balls in Motiv's Line. Once my Forge stops making the corner, I can switch to the Forge Fire and keep chasing the pattern left. Good midlane with a strong round shape. I especially like using this ball on sport conditions with high friction backends and I can throw it to a spot, this ball will bleed of some energy before making its move. Think of it as a Benchmark type roll with some punch. There is a reason Motiv staff players have one of these in their bag, I highly suggest you do to. Motiv's new Forge Fire is just flat out good. Buy it. Put it in your bag. You won't be disappointed. This ball has the new Infusion Hybrid Reactive cover on top of the Forge Detonator core. Being a speed dominate bowler the Forge was just too early unless I had a ton of volume. This ball is just so much better and more versatile. The cover is clean through the fronts and the ball explodes down-lane. On most league nights you have to migrate left as the pattern gets destroyed. But for speed dominate players carry becomes a problem from inside angles. Not with this ball. It just rips off the spot. I leave more 4pins then ever before when I am moving in. This is a special release. It's currently my favorite ball in the bag. Look at my prior reviews. I will say it's good etc. This is different and really fun to throw. Matt Rayner Motiv Staff

Motiv Forge Fire Review: The Forge Fire is Motiv's New Medium/Heavy end ball. I loved the original Forge so I was super excited for this release. The Fire features the new Infusion Hybrid cover stock wrapped around the Detonator core. For me it reads the mid lane sooner then the OG Forge but doesn't over react and still keeps a strong continuation through the pins. I used a stronger layout on the new Fire, using a 4.5' pin layout. My layout helped the ball keep a strong smoother reaction overall without being crazy off the spot. The cover stock also helps it retain the extra energy through the pins. Overall if you like bigger symmetrical pieces or are looking for a big Hybrid piece, this is the ball to go to! Motiv Staffer Sean Mackie

The Motiv Forge Fire is the newest addition to the Motiv line. It features the Detonator core from the original Forge, and comes with the Infusion hybrid coverstock from the RipCord. Both the Forge and RipCord have been essential balls in my bag and have gotten lots of use in both leagues and tournaments. When I heard about the Forge Fire, I couldn't be happier. I drilled mine with the pin above the bridge, which is the same layout I have on both my Forge and RipCord. Off the press, the Forge Fire was exactly what I was looking for. The Forge Fire gives me that additional length and pop off the backend when my OG Forge rolls up too early, but gives me less over under when the conditions have more oil when compared to the RipCord. I was about 3 boards left off my OG Forge line, and about 6 boards left off my RipCord. During my video shoot at a different house, the Forge Fire and OG Forge were a little closer, but after a few games I saw the OG Forge lose some energy as the lanes burned up. This will be a great ball for those looking for a ball to bridge the gap between balls like the Forge and RipCord. I used mine in league and have been able to stick with it all 3 games with a few adjustments inside. Adam Yoshii Motiv Bowling and Vise Inserts Staff Just Bowling Pro Shop
