Motiv Fatal Venom Bowling Ball

The Fatal Venom™ provides a deadly combination of length with an angular strike on light-medium oil conditions. It features the latest MOTIV® cover technology and the outstanding original Gear™ core from the Venom™ Shock. The Gear™ core gives the Fatal Venom™ both low RG and low differential so it spins super-fast with minimal track flare. The result is a stable ball motion with massive energy retention. Utilizing the latest Infusion™ Pearl Reactive cover, the Fatal Venom™ offers great length and angularity. These traction characteristics joined with the control of the Gear™ core provide a clean and moderately angular motion that is ideal for scoring on drier lanes. When to use: Speed Dominant: For straighter angles on moderately dry lanes. The Gear core and Infusion combo will allow the bowler to use the pearl to clear the front without sacrificing control down lane. Balanced: A great dry lane benchmark piece. If you know that there is not a lot of volume on the lane or the lane surface is higher friction, this will be a great first ball out of the bag. Rev Dominant: When the most angular balls in the product line are too much down lane, the Fatal Venom will be the go-to option.

Controlled Motion. Backend Pop. The Fatal Venom is exactly what MOTIV needed in their line up. To sum this ball up, it's like MOTIV took a Venom Shock and mashed it together with a Supra. You get the controlled reaction and continuation of the Venom Shock with the easy clearing of the heads and back end pop of the Supra. This Infusion pearl coverstock pairs extremely well with the Gear core. This is one of those balls any tournament or league bowler is going to have in their bag almost every single day. Don't pass it up. Billy Wolf MOTIV Staff Member Wisconsin

Video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ba9h[INVALID]VzFw&t=9s Strengths Venom Fatal Infusion pearl coverstock is more angular to that of Microcell Polymer, and it provides more overall hook than both Thrill and Supra. Bigger rev rates like myself enjoy using Fatal Venom on fresh medium and short patterns. Venom Fatal sets up earlier than Supra and provides you with more of a arc roll motion instead of an immediate turn at the breakpoint. Venom Fatal is very clean throughout the lane, In terms of length Supra, Thrill, and Jackal Flash have more than Venom Fatal. Weaknesses Venom Fatal out of box is long and its differential is low, keeping in mind that Venom Fatal will provide you with length on top of length you can either wait for the condition to tell you when to use it or add surface to it. Summary Fatal Venom is earlier and stronger than Supra which is what makes it a reliable option for when the patterns breaks down or for drier fresh conditions, what I also consider to be useful about Fatal Venom is the muscle it provides down lane. I typically use Fatal Venom once the more aggressive weaponry has carved up the pattern, what is not fatal to the Fatal is friction. I encourage you to give Venom Fatal a look, I promise it is worth your time. Your game will thank you for it. K.C. White II Motiv Staff Logo Infusion Staff

The Fatal Venom has been a great ball to go to when the lanes start to transition and break down. I drilled mine to be able to have more control on the backend of patterns between 37' and 42'. The drilling I used was 70x5x45, the same as what I used on the Forge Flare. As much as I love Supra which has the same coverstock, the FATAL VENOM is cleaner through the front part of the lane and quicker off the breakpoint. The colors on this ball has been a fan favorite of many that have seen this ball in use and has great self appeal. The Fatal venom has the gear core which has been a staple in the venom line, but the Infusion Pearl cover has taken this ball to another level. KYE SHIPLEY MOTIV STAFF CENTAL PENNSYLVANIA

Layout - 40x4.5x70 As a fan of both the Venom Shock and all other pieces wrapped in the Infusion Pearl Cover, the expectations were nothing but great for the Fatal Venom. I compared mine with the Venom Shock Pearl which was in the previous spot on the ball chart, which occasionally still appears in my bag pending on the condition I'm competing on. While I rarely use any polish, I applied a 3000 pad to knock some of the shine off to see more of the motion that the Fatal Venom is capable of. While just as clean through the front part of the lane as any pearl should be, I was impressed how much more motion and continuation is created by the Fatal Venom. It creates a similar shape as the Venom Shock but in a much shorter distance downlane due to the Infusion Cover creating a much faster shape. The Fatal Venom gives me that benchmark pearl-type reaction. As a fan of using the Gear Core on a lot of fresh patterns, the Fatal Venom provides an impressive downlane shape while keeping that same energy as the lanes transition. The cover versatility is far-beyond impressive. Surface matching to each players style is important with this to help give each player the performance out of the Fatal Venom as they deserve. Layout 65 x 5" x 35 The Venom Shock has been a strong, smooth staple of the MOTIV line up for almost seven years. With the recent creation of the Infusion Pearl Reactive coverstock, the Venom lineup has its newest 'shocking' release with the Fatal Venom. Blending the Infusion technology (finished at 5500 LSP) and the masterful Gear core (2.48RG, .034Diff) has created a perfect angular compliment to the Venom lineup that still retains the classic controllability that is expected of it. Not only does it pop off the dry, its color scheme also pops for the eyes! Knowing that I was getting a cleaner, angular Venom, I placed the same layout on this Fatal as I did on my original Shock (which is still going strong after all these years). Since this comes out of box quite shiny, I also decided to hit the surface with a 3000-grit pad by hand just to give it a little more control without sacrificing much length. What I got out of this was a ball that is clean through the fronts with explosive response to the friction downlane. The Infusion technology has taken the Gear core to a place it has not been before as it finds a way to create strong angularity even with the lower amount of flare/fresh surface it produces. While I can throw the Fatal on the fresh thanks to the overall strength created by this cover/core combination, I find it is at its best after the transition has hit and there is plenty of friction to the right. The cover is clean enough to get through drying heads but aggressive enough that once it finds dry it can quickly change its direction and flip towards the pocket. When equipment such as the Ripcord Flight and Venom Shock start hooking a bit too early, the Fatal Venom perfectly picks up where they are leaving off and gives superior medium/medium-dry performance. This ball is worthy of the name Venom and should be a staple for anyone needing a step-down compliment for their Shock or a stand-alone, eye pleasing piece for after-transition games. Fatal Venom, the latest Venom ball by Motiv featuring the Gear core combined with the Infusion Pearl cover provides a clean motion through the fronts and mid lane and fast motion in the back. For me, the Fatal Venom is the best compliment to the Venom Shock which has by far been my favorite ball ever. This new Fatal Venom to me is the best of the Venom line. As soon as I start to see transition down lane i can go to this ball. It gives me great length down lane and great continuation thru the pins. I would highly recommend this ball for everyone

The latest instalment in the venom series is an eye-catching masterpiece. It features the newest version of the Infusion cover stock with pearl additive. The OG Shock has been the most successful Motiv ball ever produced, so putting the Venom logo on a ball means something. The Fatal Venom definitely lives up to the name and more, by producing a fast-spinning core with a clean and responsive cover that makes for a special ball. The ball comes with a super gloss surface which is a little too clean for my liking but when lightly sanded the ball comes to life. I drilled two, the pin down allows me to keep my angles in front of me while the pin up lets me open up the lane either way it's a must have.

Motiv's ball of the year, IMO. Forget shelf appeal and that it's one of the best looking balls on the market, this ball delivered performance. It is a true pearl version of the Shock. Bringing back the Gear core and utilizing the infusion cover is a dream. It clears the fronts with ease and has a predictable smooth shape. A great complimentary piece of you have a Shock. It reads the lane earlier then the Supra and they are different enough it's worth having both of you want. The Fatal Venom is stronger and provides more hooks then the Venom Shock Pearl so it is a perfect upgrade if you're looking to replace the VSP. David Konczal Motiv Staff

I could not wait to get my hands on this ball. The Gear core with the Infusion Pearl Reactive cover was something I was eagerly anticipating and this ball did not disappoint. This ball is a nice step down from the Venom Shock as it is cleaner and more angular downlane. The Gear core revs hard in the midlane so when the lanes transition, I can stand left, throw it right and feel confident that the ball will make it back to the pocket. I drilled two Fatal's so far. Pin up (above the ring finger) and pin down (below the bridge). With the pin up, I am about 4 boards inside of the pin down as it is cleaner and more angular down lane. The pin down starts earlier and rolls more forward.

The layout I used on my Fatal Venom was 60x5x30. I have thrown this ball a ton since it arrived in the mail. When the lanes hook this ball is in play! I can throw this ball on a range of pattern lengths, sport/house shots. When comparing this ball to others in the line, for me, it provides the same amount of hook as the Venom Shock, however it is a little longer and quicker off the friction. Comparing to the Supra, the Fatal Venom is earlier than the Supra and it is also more ball overall. I have had a lot of people asking what the difference is to the Venom Shock Pearl. From what I have gathered, the Fatal Venom is about 3-4 boards stronger and provides a sharper, more angular response. I would suggest having one of these in your bag, especially when the lanes are going through transition. Also, the color combo is nice too! Drew Crain Motiv Staff

FATAL! exactly what this ball is! LOVE This ball, it is so easy to transition to when the lanes breakdown or on a light oil condition. I can take hand out and play up the outside or get around it and play around the pattern. this ball is something else. if you like the VENOM Line this one is for YOU! Motiv Staff - Tim Emmers

Fatal Venom steps into the Venom line of balls like it owns the house. It is so clean in the fronts and then comes roaring back like a champ. On mid to dry lanes this ball let's you move deeper and get the ball down lane and know that it will turn the corner with power. This is a ball for every bowler out there. The Fatal Venom is the cleanest and most angular ball in the Venom line, using the same Gear core as the Venom Shock with a pearl cover. This new venom gives me the same stable ball roll that you see out of the entire venom line, but with more pop off the end of the pattern. I used the same layout as I have on my shock, and the fatal becomes the go to ball for me when the shock doesn't have quite enough to finish on light-medium oil conditions. This ball is also a great option on those high friction or lighter oil league patterns! Layout: 60 x 4 1/2 x 40 Devon Miller Motiv Staff

Many of us have been waiting for it, and everyone in Muskegon made it happen. With the tremendous success and rave the Infusion Pearl has gotten on the balls it's already been featured on, the Fatal Venom adds to that list. The Infusion Cover is our cleanest, and most responsive cover that gets through beat up fronts with ease. The best time I've seen this ball used for me is at the end of a tournament when I need to get left and need a ball that can respond hard enough downlane and still gets through the pins. This ball has instantly become one of my favorites and has seen a ton of lane time for me because of how consistent it is and truly feels like great compliment to the Venom Shock, which is my favorite ball in the bag. Whenever I keep moving left with the Shock and it stops cornering, the Fatal Venom is the first ball I go to and is the perfect compliment to the Shock! It's cleaner, more responsive and can handle more angle when the Shock is too much. As clean as this ball is, it's unlike most cleaner balls where it can sometimes shoot past the breakpoint. The lower RG gear core makes sure the ball picks up soon enough, but the lower diff and stable ball roll through the fronts ensures that the ball still retains enough energy to get down the lane for the perfect balance of skid, and flip down the lane. This ball is going to go with me everywhere and will be a favorite for league bowlers bowling on house shots, as well as tournament bowlers like myself that will benefit from using this ball later in blocks. It's not a ball that is only good for one style, anyone with any style is going to love this ball! Kasey Uyesugi (MOTIV STAFF)

Motiv Fatal Venom The New Fatal Venom features the Infusion pearl cover wrapped around the famous gear core in the Venom Shock. Compared to the Shock the Fatal offers a tad more length with a much quicker motion on the backend. Knowing it was quicker down lane I used a stronger 3' pin layout which allowed the ball to start up earlier and give me a more controlled motion down lane. With how versatile this piece is I am able to move right and play more direct up the boards or move left and open up my angles. If you're in the market for a new piece Check out the Fatal Venom! The brand new Fatal Venom from Motiv is a homerun in the Venom line. This has to be one of my favorite balls to throw right now. Whether it's league, tournaments or practice. Compared to the Venom Shock Pearl, the Fatal rolls much stronger through the fronts and is more angular. The VSP was quicker off the spot but this ball will be a much better option when you start to move left. Review: The Fatal Venom is one of the newest releases from MOTIV Bowling. This piece is not only great looking, but the performance will have MOTIV fans wanting multiple of these in their bag. We brought back the original Gear core and paired it with the Infusion Pearl Reactive cover stock, the Fatal Venom has a stable ball motion down lane that will retain its energy longer, and with the pearl cover stock the Fatal Venom will be long and angular and just destroy the pins. Weight Block Gear Cover Stock Infusion Pearl Reactive Finish 5500 Grit LSP Comments: Benchmark performance, the venom series has always been a staple in my bag and the Fatal is just that for me. The Fatal is the first ball out of my bag everywhere I go because it gives me what I always love out of a bowling ball, long and angular. With my higher revs, I need something to do just that and still retain its energy as I move in and the Fatal will do just that. I do recommend to break the surface a little because the Fatal does come super shiny out of the box. I used 2000 and it just opened the lane up for me and I can strike at will. Lower rev players will love this piece and probably prefer the box finish because it will go nice and long and still have the hitting power to knock all 10 down. Medium to higher rev players will like this piece because it will be a first out of the back and as lanes break down, you will need that piece that will go long and still retain its energy through the pins. Likes: Long and angular; Retainable energy; Continuation Dislikes: None I Recommend the Fatal Venom for all types of bowlers. YouTube Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6aFPlY_NXE Description: The Fatal Venom is the 8th installment in the Venom series and again placed in the lower mid-price range. The Fatal Venom brings back the original Venom Shock Gear Core, not the Top Gear Core used in the Venom Shock Pearl, so you are getting a different core and different cover with this new Venom addition. Fatal Venom uses a new version of the Infusion Pearl Reactive Coverstock, similarly used on the VIP. Reaction: The original Venom Shock is my all-time favorite ball, period. I am going to say after having this a month, this is the 2nd best Venom created. It is truly a pearl version of a Venom Shock. I wouldn't say this is generally a ball I will start with on the fresh, but I think there might be occasions where it does happen. At the price point that the Venom line is offered at, you are always getting more than you pay for in my opinion. I definitely see it as one of MOTIVs most angular pieces, but also isn't too clean where you feel it's sometimes allergic to the oil. I feel in my game, it has the potential to be used in any progression, moving deeper after I get out of my ball initially used on fresh. Yes that means this ball will be used a lot for me. If you use the Venom Shock a lot, the cliche saying of a good 1-2 punch in the bag definitely applies here. The Fatal Venom is the most reliable pearl bowling ball I may have ever had. Comparisons: Well obviously we need to compare this to the original Venom Shock, not for the purpose of showcasing if it's better, but the asset of being able to really have a great pearl version of a Venom Shock. The Fatal Venom in my opinion is significantly cleaner and quicker down lane than the Venom Shock Pearl. I also think the Fatal Venom is a little stronger than a Venom Shock Pearl. On the right lane conditions you may even feel the Fatal Venom is just as strong as an original Venom Shock, but there is no lying, the Venom Shock still reigns when more oil is present! There have been numerous times already where I start with the Venom Shock on fresh and am able to go to the Fatal Venom to finish a set. When the Venom Shock is reading too soon or too slow, the Fatal Venom makes for a very easy transition. Summary: The Venom Shock always makes the bag no matter what. Honestly there are a lot of days I have two, but the Fatal Venom is going to make the bag no matter what as well. It's simple, if you like the Venom Shock but sometimes it's too early or too smooth the Fatal Venom will fill that void and give you length and more response down lane. Mike Magolan MOTIV | Turbo

Bryan Ramsey Regional staff member What can I say, yet another great addition to the ball chart from the best company in bowling. The fatal venom hits the mark on the head when it comes to upholding the performance you expect from the venom line. So far I've used it on a variety of shots and it hasn't disappointed. It gets through the fronts so clean, packs some serious backend punch and pin deck power to put 10 in the pit. Also the beautiful color combination makes it so easy to get a good read on your balls reaction and break point. This ball is everything and more you'd expect from a venom line piece, do yourself a favor and get one of these in your hand as soon as possible. Motiv keeps on raising the bar with every single release that hits the lanes. #GetMotivated #MotivBowlingTeam
