Radical new core design for more overall hook. All the hook you'll ever need • Great pin carry (hits so hard you can hear the difference) • Reacts to lane friction immediately and accurately • Makes lane conditions easy to read • Versatile Pearl Reactive COLOSSUS, featuring a dual density version of the extremely powerful Colossus core surrounded by our all new GriPpeR SR coverstock, is designed for players who desire a straighter trajectory and/or a later breakpoint on medium to dry lanes. This core/cover combination yields a strong angular backend reaction, making less oily lane conditions easy to read, while still maintaining the same great pin carry of the original Colossus that players have been raving about all season long. The Pearl Reactive Colossus is manufactured with a polished surface to help combat drier lane conditions. If a slightly earlier or smoother breakpoint is desired, lightly scuff the surface. If a bowler wants an even earlier breakpoint or more overall hook, drill the original Colossus with GriPpeR EF "Enhanced Friction" particle coverstock, for all the hook you'll ever need!

This was another ball I plugged Shickdaddy's thumb and redrilled for me. Ball was long and strong, but was very susceptible to over/under. If your speed was perfect and your release was perfect and you played exactly the right spot on the oil pattern, it was great. Unfortunately I'm not that good, and I doubt that very many people are. Miss any art of the shot by just a little, and you miss big time down at the pin deck. Best luck with this ball was a 10 to 10 tophat on wood lanes with fresh backends. Got one good game, and then the over under started as we got some carry down. I finally gave this one away, and the guy slugged the thumb hole and used it for about 6 weeks. Dropped his average about 10 pins at mid season.

This ball was great at one thing, long, heavy oil patterns. This ball never had a problem turning the corner and when I needed something to snap on the backends when no only a studded snow tire seemed to hook, I grabbed this ball. The problem was that I never run into this type of oil pattern, and even when I do a pearl ball is not what I need. This ball was even prone to over under (mostly over) when there was enough oil to hold it back. This ball taught me a lesson in bowling that sometimes (almost always) less is more.

this ball was pritty good. it did not hook enough on oil and hooked way to much on dry. this ball is very snappy at about forty five feet down the lane. i think i will throw the ball good and then it will snap really hard and i will be looking at an ugly split. this ball will just about carry anything if you can throw the ball in the pocket. but even on a house shot you have to hit your mark just about perfectly to hit the pocket. it is not very forgiving if you miss your mark just a little bit then you will leave a 10 pin.

out of the box i had a difficult time adjusting to the reaction, but after having it for a year or so i have adjusted. i recently shot my third 260+ game with this ball, and let me tell you those pins exploded with nearly every shot. depending on the lane condition, you will either get a sharp backend if it is dry or more of an arc shape if it is oilier. either way you will get a hit that hurts the pins. i would recommend it to anyone who can control their amount of hook and know a thing or two about lane conditions.

As long as you follow the drill sheet, you can get this ball to do anything you want. 3 3/8 drilling worked best for me with fast arc to pocket and unbelievable carry. The sound at impact will draw the attention of both rivals and friends. Because of the drill layouts set up for specific types of shots, hand position is critical. As soon as you learn what hand positions result in the different type of reactions, you can become a one ball bowler that can play 5 boards of break or 20 boards on the same lane condition. I can even flatten it for corners or singles though I admit it doesn't leave many spare opportunities because of all the strikes you'll be throwing!

This ball is a very good ball. It allows me to open the lane as I can stand nearly anywhere the lane will allow me to play. I have used this ball on 41ft. sport patterns out around 3 to 5. And I have used it on the same condition in around 4th arrow. Although I did not keep playing the gutter, I elected to stay in as there was a more consistent condition on the lane, and other lefty's were in there as well. I do think this ball is a good one from Mo. One thing I noticed goes along with the pearlized reactive coverstock. On house conditions that have been broken down, by not getting the ball out to the bank area results in almost guaranteed seven pin for lefty's. Just the combination of the pearlized polished surface and the oil on the surface of the lane work together to make carry nearly impossible. If I would say go one direction or the other, definately get this ball, as I have not thrown something this versatile and incredibly strong in a very long time, if ever. Any ques

Love the way the ball clears the deck only with good carry. Hits nice and loud pins fly makes the heads turn when it hits the pins. Improper carry and release can lead to ten pins, or perhaps the ball in the gutter. Does not work very good in light oil, needs to be a little flooded. The ball can be a little picky and needs to be thrown the same way exactly everytime, other wise you will be getting a lot of splits. The backend on this ball drives through any type of carrydown, and when the shot is on everybody better watch out. Other then that the ball is great.

I got this ball just a week ago so i dont know about how long it lasts, but as of right now it has the best back-end of any ball i've seen. It carrys 10 pins like a tornado. The pin action is beyond beleif. I have a god in my hands. I love this ball, what else can i say. There is a small problem with the ball though. If you stand on the left of the center dot and throw over the second arrow, you will have to throw the ball verry good or else it will be a gutter or a good 10 pin shot.

I would not recommend this ball for every type of condition but if you play on a pretty wide open shot then you should have one of these in your bag. This ball hooks as much as any reactive ball I have every thrown and hits the pocket as hard as any ball I have seen. I have actually noticed an increased occurence of smash 9 pins because the ball makes such a radical left turn so far down the lane. I drilled the ball with the CG and PIN stacked both 3 3/8 from my axis. I am not sure that stacking the the leverage weight is the ideal drilling pattern, if I ever drill a second one I would go with a less aggressive layout. All in all I would rate this ball well above average and best suited for the above average bowler.
