Hammer Vicious Reactive Pearl Bowling Ball

(11 reviews) Write a Review
Medium dry to medium oil lanes have met their match. With the killer angle of Vicious Reactive Pearl, every last pin is going down. When you combine PowerGrip Reactive Pearl SF-36 coverstock and the Vicious core design, you have a phenomenal angle at the break point. That 10 pin doesn’t stand a chance. Got this barely used gem from buddy in Tx. Thanks a million Jim! This is my second Vicious Pearl (first one was used and developed a crack from thumbhole due to double slugging). Didn't make the same mistake again. Drilled full stack leverage drilling. Ball seems to handle our typical heavy house shot with ease. Lighter oil conditions only make this piece shine brighter. The ultimate down-and-in ball. Clean through the heads, reads midlane with consistency, and carry is unbelievable. Light pocket hits send pins in every direction. One of the best reactive pearls I have ever thrown! Highly recommended if you can find one! 10 pins!

WOW this thing hits like there is no tomarrow. Right out of the box i rolled a 637 series and i only have an average of 156!!! In combination with my Track FREAK there is no hope for my league mates. When the lanes start to break down i just pull out this ball, and the strikes just keep comin' !! I recoment it to anybody who wants to raise thier average in a couple of just a couple of weeks. NOT for the beginner though, this ball is too powerful!!! Thanks Hammer for a great all around ball! Thanks to Kegler's Korner for setting this ball up for me. :)

this is an excellent ball to use as the lanes transition. i like to swing the ball from the 2nd arrow out to to the channel and get great recovery. this ball also allows me to throw behind the ball if lane conditions call for it without giving up the great backend reaction. anyone who says this ball cant be used in oil just doesnt have the hand. i bowl on a fresh shot and get a very good roll in oil. ball crushes the rack with little deflection, keeps the pins low and leaves very few corners (RH) ball will carry light and heavy

WELL I FINALLY ROLLED MY FIRST 700 SERIES WITH THIS BALL RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. 263,255,243 FOR A 761 TRIPLE. NEEDLESS TO SAY YOUR NOT GONNA HERE ANYTHING BAD ABOUT THIS BALL ON THIS REVIEW. I COULD THROW THIS BALL ANYWHERE FROM THE FIRST ARROW TO THE 3RD ARROW AND IF I HAD THE RIGHT SPEED IT WENT IN THE POCKET EVERY TIME. I ALSO HAVE THE VICIOUS PARTICLE AND A COLUMBIA WHITE DOT. SO I HAVE ALL MY BASES COVERED. 10 YEARS AGO I WAS A VERY AVID BOWLER. AND I JUST GOT BACK INTO IT ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO AND TO ROLL A 700 IN THAT SHORT TIME I AM JACKED.

I drill this ball with a 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 layout. I wanted this ball for the really dry lane conditions. I was able to play up the lane and when need circle the lane, this ball has plenty of backend to get around the corner. This ball was a very good compliment to the original Vicious Reactive. The pearl is very good on medium-light oil and medium oil. The Vicious Reactive Pearl is longer than my Blade Reactive Pearl, but the Vicious has more backend. If you have any questions, please email me at Bill@BuddiesProShop.com

Works great the second the lanes start to break down, but for me it gets down the lane a little too far in heavy oil. One of the guys on my team has started to enjoy this ball, and never goes to far for him. It carries strong, and will always recover if you turn it over enough. Every once in awhile, it cuts a little too much in and leaves a weird split, but Ive been getting better hits since I got this ball. It does whatever I need it too except roll up early in heavy oil. But I should expect that, being polished and all.

WORKS GREAT ON MED - HEAVY OIL LANES, GREAT PIN ACTION, SMASHES THROUGH LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN, EXCEPTIONAL ANGLE TO THE POCKET, WILL COME BACK FROM ANY PART OF THE LANE. YOU HAVE TO BE EXREMELY CONSISTENT WITH YOUR RELEASES THOUGH, THIS BALL IS NOT QUITE A FORGIVING AS THE BLADE PEARL. PROBABLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR A BEGINNER. ALSO CAN BE A DIFFICULT BALL TO USE ON DRY LANES. THIS IS BECAUSE OF THE AGGRESSIVE NATURE OF THE DESIGN OF THE BALL . ON A SCALE OF 1 - 10 THOUGH DEFINATELY A 10+,,,,,WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECCOMEND THIS BALL FOR SERIOUS BOWLING

It will go long an any condition, but sometimes the backend is a little strong. I have played this straight up the gutter, and I have played it all the way across the lane, and it does come back. It hits with a ton of power, but I did leave a few splits mostly my fault. You have to have a decent amount of speed to throw this ball, or you may never get it down the lane. Not for the week of arm, but probably the most versatile ball I have. Also you have amazing control on the backend, all you have to do is change the angle ever so slightly, but this may be a result of the drilling on the ball (CG in palm). Overall I am happy to see hammer putting X's back on my board.

I wanted a compliment to my Vicious Particle. Something to go longer and with a touch more back end. Was thinking Freak Out or Icon 2, but loved the Vicous Paricle so much that figured would take a chance on the Pearl. Drilled Pin Over Ring Finger...CG under palm...mass bias kicked a little right...then hit it up hard with Black Magic to really get length. Does all that I could hope for. Great length and strong backend, but not skid/flippish...very controlled move and a strong angle to the pocket. Great Ball and a definate keeper! Welcome Back Hammer.

I bought this ball with the intentions of using it at the latter half of my weekly league play. I play a very late night league and by 10 p.m. there is little or no oil left in the entire house. At that point my Icon2 and the remainder of my arsenal is useless, so at the advice of the Hammer website, I bought this ball. So, I take it to my league house on a Saturday morning to practice, immediately after the lanes have been oiled. I naturally assumed that this ball would be useless and likely skid away into the 3-6 pocket. Well was I wrong! I threw this baby cross lane to the first arrow and watched it go, go, go and then turn around and FLY towards the pocket; i.e., the most maniacal backend I have ever witnessed! The good news is that the angle in the pocket is so sharp that the pins didn't stand a chance in hell. The bad news is that this ball with its strong backend reaction may be somewhat difficult to control, especially with dry lanes. On several throws I missed my mark to watch

i wanted to try something new so i drilled this one with the pin an inch from my PAP and the cg in my palm, 1/2 inch off center. this drilling allow the ball to pass through the heads without noticing anything lane. the ball then gets the reads in the midlane and then rolls up nicely. the ball itself feeds very nicely to the outside on a variety of conditions. this ball works best on drier shot or on the outsides, whereever you can find some friction on the backends otherwise. once it touches some dry it rolls up nicely into the pocket but if never touches dry you'll need alot of hand to get it to move with this drilling. on a stronger drilling less hand will be needed to get it to move in oil most likely. well after some more use i have noticed this drilling doesn't allow for you to belly the ball unless the lane is really dry but playing up the boards the ball has a great reaction Ebonite, Bowl 2 Win
