One of my top 5 Hammer's ever. I can't really say where I would put it but probably first. This ball works well in oil. I like the out of box surface. I had the pin just above my ring finger. It was set for late hook and late hook it did. It was a ball I could play directly down 10. It carried a lot of strikes for me. This ball also had a lvery good coverstock life for being a partical ball. It is still a benchmark ball today if you can find one. This ball always comes up big on special shots as well as house shots.

The Hammer Vicious series are one of the best series made by this bowling balls company; i think there no reasons for a discontinued line like vicious. Here in México nobody sells tha hammer products and know a lot of people who want a hammer vicious, sorry, Hammer bowling did not have a good seller here in my country. But even with all those problems, this ball is the best i ever thrown, and NOTHING HITS LIKE MY HAMMER. Sorry by the pins, always fly away when my ball hits the pocket, is very forgiving when i made a good shot

This ball comes out of the box at 800 grit (which is matte finish/polish). I drilled it 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" with the LMB about 2+" from PAL. The ball is 15lbs, with Pin 3" out, top weight was 2oz prior to drilling. No balance/weight hole needed (barely). I bought this ball exactly what is was intended for, which is a Medium to LIGHT oil ball. Nothing more, nothing less! It should be your second or third ball out of your bag, unless lane conditions start in med-light. This ball has an ASYMETRICAL core (most of Vicious line does) which means it is harder to control and is more sensitive to speed, release and oil changes such as carry-down, but will snap much harder, which is why i love it. Get it drilled with a medium aggressive hook/skid pattern. I recommend pin between 4"-5" from PAP, no more no less. If the lanes are fried you better put some juice into your throw or you will def. go brook. If you start with fresh heavy you will get washout so move right and slow down. I sta

Hooks very late, but much... Just the perfect ball to use on wood with mutch backend... I play in denmark, typical there arent much backend, cause they don't clean the lane at the end of the lane.... I hate it, thats why i just bought a RE-loaded, often i too agresiv... i mostly use my charge, its very controlable, othervise the first hammer visious reactiv, its perfect... i have about 25 balls, even im only 15 years... i only use 5 of them, normally,,, I like playing bowling, i have played sins i could walk. hehe... at age of 14 i have bought about 15 balls only that year... i dont bye balls that often anymore, wast of money... the only reason i bought all those balls, i were in a bad period, now i just need to lean the half of the bals to know... i have leaned 5 of MY balls to know, lane condition, hook, flare etc... now i play with a average on about 200 so im started ti "LOVE" playing again... ANy questions please write to my e-mail "kaffeninja@mail-online.dk

I had to go back and forth to the pro shop to get this ball to do what I want. It doesn't crank like I want it to. I usually stand far left and have it hang for the hook. It will not get back, so I bowl from the middle now. If you put too much power on it, the ball will skid like it wasn't designed for a hook. I bowled horribly to first couple of times. After adjustments, this ball increased my average from 140 to 205. I was amazed at how easy it became to chain 6,7,8 strikes together. I recommend this ball from down and in bowlers.

I tried this with the same shots as the Attack. This ball went quite a bit longer but cut back with a vengence, thus, now swinging. I stood 25 shot straight inside third arrow and ducked as the pins flew! Not as speed-sensitive as the Attack, for I was able to throw harder inside with additional RGs, and the ball would still clear the fronts nicely and have more than enough energy to blow the pocket. Hammer named it Vicious...How right they are!! This ball is drilled like the Attack, full leverage per the Hammer specs for maximum flare and required a weight hole. The action with this ball is just incredible! Not recommended as a beginner ball and the fact that I got it for a third of retail off ebay makes it even sweeter! NOTHING hits like a HAMMER!!!

Another poor ball from hammer. This has to be the worst series ever made by hammer. The whole vicious line stinks. I have thrown the whole series and didn't like one of them. All of them were unpredictable. The balls good by hammer are the blade line. The blade line is pretty solid. But the vicious line absolutely STINKS. I like the way they hit and thats it. Other than that i think hammer has gone downhill. They used to make good stuff. The truck by hammer was solid. But the new hammer equipment is pretty poor for the higher reved players.<

I drilled two of these balls when they came in to the pro shop. One with a 10:30 and one with A 12:00 pattern. I roughed up the early roll one and tried to play the fresh oil with the ball. The ball reacted well but I could not carry to save my life. So when I got to the 8:30 scratch league I picked up the 12:00 pattern and proceeded to fire a perfect game. That is when I realized that this ball was made to tom play the lanes when they are going away. I took the ball that I sanded and polished that baby up and now I have a great 2 ball arsenal that will allow me to play med to light oil conditions well. When the 10:30 pattern stops carrying I pick up the other one and away we go.

This ball is Great so far. I punched it out right before league, and in the 3rd game found perfection. 300. This was my 7th perfect game with 4 of them being with Hammer equipment. The ball is laid out with the pin above the fingers and the LMB just to the right of the thumb. The ball skates through the fronts, starts to transition in the midlane, makes its move and continues all the way through the pin deck. That was the most remarkable thing about the ball, was the continuation through the pins. I really believe that "nothing hits like a hammer!!"
