This is the greates ball ever made and i trust it with my career in bowling... They call me DOC X because i always strike...I bowled 7 300's with this ball so far and it is still kicking great... If i had to rate this ball from 1-10 1 being bad and 10 being best... i would give it a 11 because of the extra performance it gives me. I can bowl on dry lanes but it is very tricky. i got a 2000 cuda for the dry lanes and leave my baby in my bag where it deserves to be on dry lanes.

used the ball out of the box shot 705. love it .if you are on dry lanes dont take it out of the bag. its that good on oil .long or short it hits hard. this ball picks up oil you must keep it clean all the time. dont like it on wood hooks way too much. wood lanes need to be over oiled for the ball to work . balled in the pro am 5 man on a lane the ball was put in the bag after the 5th frame. one of the pros tryed it he is going to get for this week. so as you can see i love the ball. ray o

This ball is a really great ball for heavy oil or even medium oil conditions. It can really cut right through the thick oil and still maintain a nice even backend. I use this combined with the Hammer Diesel Pearl and it pretty much completes my needs. I would suggest this ball to anyone who has issues with heavy oil. The ball is very scratch resistent I've noticed. I suggest this ball for everyone's arsenal. I was shooting this ball right up the 15 board out to the 12-10 and it came back with a vengence to the pocket. I have it drilled for an early roll so I know exactly where the destination is before it gets there.

Ball hits very hard and seems to have a very accurate break point. Ball has lots of power and carries very well. I have owned the ball for about three months and already have shot a 800 series and a 300 game. The ball works very well on medium to heavy oiled lanes. I find that once the lanes start breaking down the ball over reacts and rolls out. In my opinion this ball is worth the money. I tried polsihing the ball out of the box but did not get a accurate roll from polishing. I had the ball sanded back to factory finish and the ball worked well.

I have only used this ball for a few games, and I have yet to use it on the appropriate conditions but I like what I am seeing thus far. The ball does a good job of clearning the heads, makes a strong turn on the backend and drives hard through the pins. I have this one laid out with a 3-3/8" stack for maximum reaction. I had to hunt to find a line with it, but as long as I had oil to work with this ball would react beautifully. I think that I will be able to swing it if I like or play it right in the heart of the oil. This ball does not appear to have any trouble gripping the lane in the oil. I was playing right in the heart of it and the Vicious still had plenty of energy to make the turn and blow out the ten pin. I think that this ball is going to be a champ once I can find more oil to use it on. This is another great Hammer (even though Ebonite made it).

I have never had I ball that I couldn't overpower, until this ball. My biggest problem has always been that I tend to over throw the ball and with the Vicious no matter how hard I throw that ball will still hook. I absolutely love it, now all I have to do is get used to the roll. This ball is a long overdue Hammer product. One of the best balls out on the market right now. I do alot of research on balls before I chose one and everything I have read about this ball lives up to my expectations.

I've loved Hammer balls since I was a kid. I got my first black Hammer urethane in 1987 and fell in love. Got the burgandy later on, and then the navy blue reactive when it came out. In 1996 I bought my Blazing Violet 3D Offset, which remains my favorite ball to date (got me both of my sanctioned 300's and several unsanctioned, and a slew of 700 series). I left the game in 1997, and returned last year only to find out that my beloved company had fallen upon (or put itself into) hard times. I'm still not completely convinced that the products offered now from Ebonite are up to the level that Moe started with the 3D series those years ago, but this ball is definitely enough proof to me that the new parent company is in earnest about reviving the once great Hammer name. I look forward to trying out its reactive counterpart in the near future.

awsome ball i would recomend this to anyone. it hits like a champ. very few 10 pins left standing more 9's. honestly this is a "golden ball". like i said in the dislikes it was skidding the entire length of the lane, no matter where i moved or where i rolled the ball or even how fast or slow it went it would still skid. so i had to have a counter weight drilled in it. ive had that for a few weeks now and since then i have nothing but success with it. this ball is great.. this ball is one of the best out there. you can use it in heavy oil or even medium oil it dosent matter. you just have to know when to put it back in your bag when the lanes get to dry

This is the best ball on the market today. The most powerful and consistant. 1st series bowled with ball was 750. The pins are blown into the pit. The biggest problem most crankers have is that the ball over hooks. Not a problem here. Drill the ball with extra finger weight. The ball pushes down the lane before a nice smooth backend arch. The ball crushes the pins. If the ball goes to far down the lane for your liking then drill the fingers deeper. I Recommend the new turbo 2 grips to be used with this ball as well.

Hammer Time! I have always loved the FAB ideas yet was a realist when it came to pass that the high end cover stocks simply would not be placed on FAB Hammer balls because the real leading edge stuff belongs to the big four. Columbia, Brunswick, Storm, and Ebonite. Simply stated you can have a great core design and you wont win unless you can put a great cover stock over it. This left FAB bowlers struggling to regain some of the glory of the big hitting original blue hammer, still my favorite all around ball. l watched in serious interest as Hammer was sold to the big daddy of the PWBA and PBA Ebonite. Why would ebonite want Hammer well one would have to say a fresh look at core design Hammer is known for core technology and a reputation for aggressive hard hitting Bowling Balls, Combine this with leading edge cover stock and you have the Vicious Particle the new High end weapon from Hammer Bowling. If you want a ball, the hits like a tank and is forgiving, as a urethane The Viciou

i have the ball drilled with the pin above the ring finger and even drilled into the pin kinda, cg is about an inch off the center of grip on the mid line. the ball gives great versitilty can play any where on the lane on pretty much any condition except dry. the ball goes through the heads with ease and then starts to roll in the mid lanes gearing up for the backend. the ball hit hard and lets you have lots of room of house shots. i have had the ball for a month now and have had no problems with any cracking anywhere and i live in cal and have even left it in the car during 106 degree heat with no probs yet. if you need a new ball get this one. *my style has the following, avg speed (15-17.5 mph), high track, medium to high rpm (325-400+ rpm) and also about a 45 degree axis tilt<sc

It is par with the FORD PINTO. Hammer looks for all kind of excuses, but they (Ebonite) are making inferior bowling balls. Any ball the cracks that soon out of the box has problems. It is a shame, because the ball has tremondous hitting power if the surface was a little more durable. I have used finger inserts over the past 15 years at least and the only time I have had a ball crack is the bridge between the fingers. This crack is 90 degrees from the fingers. So if you want a ball that is fantastic for 3 games then support Hammer (Ebonite) and buy the LYMON.

Ok, well this is the initial review of the vicious particle. I was sold on the vicious reactive so figured I'd give the particle a try. I like the color anyway so might as well right, ;) As to be expected with particle this ball isn't as jumpy as the purple vicious. But, this ball hits every bit as hard if not harder. The ball archs and just keeps on driving. And when I say this ball hits, when I was throwing it (plenty of revs 18-19 mph, I've slowed down from my 20+ mph, couldn't carry) people watching were shuddering. The ball is in factory condition, drilled 3 3/8 pin, B-stacked cg. I will be throwing on fresh oiled wood tonight and updating my review. However, looks like another winner from the new hammer. Update on the vicious particle. Still pretty much the same as before, ball hooks a good amount, it's pretty controllable but, you have to stay on it, can't let up. I haven't gotten to throw it much because I haven't found an oily enough condition, I've also just recently scuffe

Great ball! Hits hard! Id recommend this ball to anybody who wants power and force and wants to smash the opposition. The colour is a bit too extream and it dosent look good going down the lane. But believe me it does the job!!!!! If you are a cranker you may leave a few 9 pins if thrown a touch too high. Dont leave too many 10 pins because it hits so hard. If trown too wide it will comeback to hit the pocket. This ball can be bowled wood or syth. Best hammer ball ever made. Most powerfull ball hammer has produced. Ebonite has done a good job with this one.

Well we drilled this ball up for one of our shop guy. This bowler has High Speed, High Rev release and likes to circle the lane. The ball was laid out with a standard 4"x4" drilling for this bowler. We wanted to see how much this ball would hook. The bowler has bowled in 3 leagues and was able to play deep inside and swing the ball, in all 3 leagues. He was able to get the ball through the head without a problem throughout the night, and the ball still ripped the pocket when it got there. This ball is stronger than the original Vicious and able to handle more oil than the original. I would say that the Vicious Particle coverstock is as strong as the Diesel Particle, but the ball goes longer and more angle at the pocket. The shop bowler found the ball was great when recovering from bad shots. The ball reved up and exploded at the breakpoint. If you have any questions, please email me.

For the past few year's,i've tried numerus ball's in the $200.00 range with limited success.80% of my info was from Bowling this month magazine. As soon as they tested the latest & greatest ball's,I scraped together enough money to try them with much less success than the article. But, since I read about the Vicious Particle, I had to give Bowling this month one more chance.Today,I drilled my Vicious particle 4x4 with a 1/4 oz. positive and went to use it.My first shot with it ,standing 25 throwing to 17 board, the ball went 30 feet then turned left hard leaving me in a state of shock.I thought they forgot to oil,but after waching my friend play 15 board's right of me with the new Shock Trauma ,I knew I had something special.I bowled 4 games in the mid 220's when someone asked me to bowl in the men's league. The Vicious Paricle creamed the pin's senceless.I shot a respectable 729. Damn what a ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This ball is good for your average house shot, even in the light oil this ball carries well. This ball will cut through even the longer oil patterns out there. It hooks alittle bit earilier but still leads a nice angle to the pocket, enough so to carry the 10 and the 9 pin, and hooks hard enough to carry the 7 and 8...You will like this ball if your a hammer person,. try it out, it will rasie your average about 5 pins... Don't go on hammer past track record with the hammer 2001 and the truck, they have broken the mold with this one folks...<scr

I just received this ball yesterday, 8/14/02 and drilled it that night. Practiced with it for about 45 minutes on the typical house shot, which was wide open as usual. With so limited amount of actual use I can not be to specific, (I will make amendments later) but I can say without a ounce of hesitation, this ball HOOKS. This ball grabs the lanes and does not let go. At 1st I thought that the condition must somehow be different, perhaps less oil, so I went and got one of my other balls and sure enough I could play my normal shot with ho problem. As you might expect with so much hook from the Viscous particle, I seem did have less margin for error but more power in the pocket. As I become more familiar with the new Viscous Particle from hammer bowling I will take the time to write a more detailed and in-depth review, but if you are just looking for more hook, this is the ball. Addendum: 8/21/02 After considerably more practice with the Viscous Particle from Hammer Bowling I hav
