great ball for price... actually i would be happy with it if i would have payed 175 for it instead of 100. i love it probaly should be listed under high performance i think that a begginer would have a little trouble controlling it but other than that the ball is great it hits very hard and the arc that it gives is very nice and you rarley ever leave splits or ten pins with pocket hits. but if the lane starts to dry out put it away if you are not an inside player because it will go in heavy or runaway every time even with higher ball speeds<scr

Drilled with the pin under my fingers, just right of my center of grip with the cg kicked out. Small balance hole required. I love how hard this ball hits and how strong it is. Even at 1000 grit, it clears the heads well and still gets good length, for a matte finish ball, and it finishes hard! This layout gives me good control and a very predictable roll. I prefer this ball at a 1000 grit abralon finish, because I can play from inside 15 (to 20) on a 40ft house shot and get good swing and drive back to the pocket with excellent carry...and there aren't a whole lot of balls available on the market that can do that! But, there are plenty of other balls out there that can play outside 15 on a 40ft house shot, and that's what I had to do with the ball at 2000 grit finish. I will put a video of the Raw Hammer ANGER on YouTube in the near future. Check out my videos on YouTube (user name: SP0RTSfusion) to see when the video gets posted this March, 2008.

Great ball, easy to rev, powerful. Adapts to a number of archs, you can throw with a big hook or with a straighter line. The power in the backend is amazing. Creates a lot of ricohet pins even with less powerful shot (given that you give enough room to the ball). Not a very good ball for the dry conditions, but if it is designed for medium-heavy oil the that shouldn´t be considered a bad side. It´s also very cheap. My Anger cost me about 200 Euros which is a very affordable price to pay for such a great ball.

if conditions are right, then this ball is a killer. dont need to be a metierologist to predict this one, you can nearly tell what this ball will do once it leaves your hand, gets through the heads real nice starts to hook in the mid-lane and is real nice and continus and yet retaines a real nice back end with lots of power to put 10-in-the-pit. a good price also, worth the money. the whole line of raw hammer balls are great for anyone. one more thing.. we need to reduce this 100-word minimum thing down a little bit. 75 would be plenty<scrip

Well, I bought this ball to replace my old Stinger 2-Piece, wanted a more reliabe heavy oil ball and something with more hitting power, and I gotta say it was worth every penny! Just like the Anger's older Hammer relatives, this thing hits like a cement truck. I hit the pocket a little wide on some shots and it carried like Ive never seen! The backend on this ball is absolutely crazy, you'll some find yourself playing further and further out to compensate for it (Also helps to impress your friends too :P). Now I got this ball for 106.00 all drilled and this ball has the most Bang for your Buck that ur gonna find! I find it out-preforming some of my friend's hi-performance 135$+ balls! I HIGHLY recommend getting this ball

When my Heavy Oil gear doesn't work, the last thing I expected was thi ball to get the job done. What a Great ball with Smack Power a plenty. Awesome pocket hook even when I miss my release. For 15 lbs, it hits like it 20lbs. What a bargain for the price. I never should have waited 4 months to buy this ball. Highly Recommended Go Get Hammered!! DISLIKES: None, but you better adjust as the oil breaks down because this ball will keep on hooking if you don't! This review has some stupid minimum word crap so I will just keep typing until this lousy formats lets me post. Who's the moron that created this policy? Take them out and smack some sense into them. I bought this ball for my local house which has all wood lanes and they use medium oil. Out oof the box it was pretty good but tended to hook a bit early and got to the head pin a bit too much. I decided to leave it at 2000 abralon but hit it with Ebonite Factory Polish to see if it would get down the lane a bit more before hooking and found that this was perfect for our house shot and my full roller with medium speed and revs. I then bowled in a Sr. Tourney on synthetic lanes with quite heavy oil. I didn't really expect it to work there but took it down to 500 abralon with no polish and was shocked when it easily outhooked my new Columbia Resurgence...but that is another story which I will tell when I review the Resurgence. This ball (Anger) flat-out seems to be able to adapt to any lane surface and oil condition. Did I say, I love it?<s

One of hammers best balls ive ever bought although ive never had a bad hammer in my short time at bowling. I really like my hawg zilla until I threw the anger. It did take me a little bit of throwing to get the hang of this one but I took it to a tournament for the first time last weekend and really had a good day. Ive used it at three different houses and I havnt had a bad day with it yet. It has to be the ball becuse it certainly isnt me. It wiil really be hard for me to even try a neww ball after this one.

i think this is one of the best balls you can get for how much it cost. The only little probleom is that its definately made for dry backends, and if there is a little oil on the back it wont be as good sometimes. i have tried the raw hammer toxic but i found for my style this ball is definately the best. It does require cleaning and all because it soaks up alot of oil. I think that this hammer probably beats all of there other products for the value and price of it. I hope that what ive told you is helpful. tyler

Had the ball drilled to roll early because I don't really have a ball that moves early. Once the lanes break down and I can't keep my Beat'n or Toxic on the right side, this is definately the ball to go to. The Anger does have some backend snap as well, but this ball relies more on the midlane roll. When you throw it, and you think it's gonna go through the nose, it holds pocket and BOOM! Pins will be flying. You can throw this ball on any condition from medium and up. Any lane condition below medium oil, don't use it. All in all, another great ball by Hammer.

    This is my 3rd ball. It happily replaced my Total Inferno. It's brought life back to my game, and practically plays the game for it's self. The pin action is so intense that it doesn't require a perfect pocket hit to gain a strike. This ball peaks my curiosity as to what other balls out there may offer me. -----minimum amount of words being entered below------- * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah * * blah *

hard turn to the pocket, even if you throwing it faster...hard hit and typical Hammer pinaction...somtimes in rolls to early, so the ball can not saving the energy until it hits the pins..it rolls out...so do not use it on dry lanes...but that is not a dislike...it is a fact. a cruciate rupture compelled me to take 4 month time-out from the bowlingsport. Now i started after this break with light trainingsessions, and my wrist is not as strong as it was before this long break. So i can not give a lot of revs on the ball, but this one hooks anyway...unbelievable. It is stronger than any Hammer bowlingball i think...great one for a great price...

I took this ball to begin with and shot on a medium house pattern out of the box. I had it drilled with the pin above my ring finger 4.5 inches away from my axis and CG in the palm of my hand. It was just too strong with the factory finish so I took it to 4000 nice smooth surface. It still hooks alot but it's more tame and controllable, it allows me to play in around 15-17 and swing it to 5. I also played with moving outside to around 8-10 and I was able to keep it out there and crush the pocket, I did however leave a couple 9 pins so I will be keeping my inside line. I plan on keeping it clean and having this ball for a long time.

My favorite ball in my bag..i use it for heavy oil conditions to dry conditions..this ball is clean through the heads and hits like hammer..ball lives up to its name when it rolls it looks angry and when it hits it hits!..I chose to buy this ball instead of the blacc widow pearl and i am pleased with my choice.. its more controlable and versitile and very predictcble on different conditions. the anger raw hammer and the doom raw hammer have made a great one two punch for my game.. i was all brunswick when i first started again but ever since i tried hammer i've been starting to open up my equipment to other companies..

i needed something to handle oil well. i am a higher rev player with a HIGH speed. my pro shop operator recently got an anger and i liked the way it rolled so i told him to order me one. i got the ball friday and had a tournament on saturday. i put 2 games on it friday and really loved the way it handled the lanes. i went into the tourney to go from 41st to 8th within 5 games with this ball. thumb split wide open tho because i need to get my pitches changed. anyway i usually gwt brunswick stuff so i thought why not try hammer? unbelievable ball for the price (125 to 140) awesome carry power action color and durability. if hammer has more gems like this i think im gonna have to make more room in my bag!

This is my 5th Hammer. I started with a 3-D Super Hook (pink) and I've been hooked on Hammers ever since. After a long layoff, I re-entered the market and bought a Pain, Toxic, Vibe, and now Anger. The Anger is easily the strongest ball in my arsenal and is doing exactly what I want it to and that is to combat the heavy and longer oil patterns in the PBA Experience league. I doubt you can find a stronger or better ball for the money. I've heard a lot of people say that they expected this ball to be another Pain, but I can assure you that it is significantly stronger. I love my Pain for house shots, but I need the Anger for the PBA Experience.

The anger hooks alot . Because it is a hammer. Hammer is the best made bowling ball possible. All hammer does is hit the pocket. As we all know there is more than one raw hammer. Most people know what they are. So if you don't know what they are well i'll tell you. They are the doom raw hammer, toxic raw hammer, anger raw hammer, and the pain raw hammer which is now discontinued.Well that is all four raw hammers. If you ask me what ball you shoud get i suggest a hammer.I am a very good bowler

I have the Toxic and I loved the toxic. It reads the mid lanes great and makes a strong but controllable move off the dry and had great carry. However the Toxic does not like carry down or long oil. So I figured the Anger would give me the same great carry and predictability of the Toxic with more grab on carrydown and long oill. Boy, was i right. Threw this ball on the PBA Shark pattern. This ball allowed me to play inside 4th arrow and push to about the 11-12 board and get back to the pocket without having to slow down my ball speed. Most of the other guys on my leage could not play this shot, including some throwing the No Mercy and Black Widow. This ball will be a great oily lane compliment to the Toxic.

I purchased my Anger with the pin to the left of my ring finger and the cg stacked. I left it in the OOB condition, and went to bowl on the Chameleon pattern. I quickly noticed that this ball was going longer and hooking ALOT harder than everyone elses' balls. It also looks very nice going down the lane with the blue and silver mix, and my thumb mold :). Edit**- Went bowling a fresh THS and the ball peformed as I would have expected. The thing that surprises me so much with this ball is that it gives me so much length and very strong hook off the dry boards.

After throwing this ball for the first time we questioned how Hammer could sell this ball at a mid level price when it out hooks any ball they have in their current arsenal. Of all the balls they just released this was the most pleasant surprise. All the others did what we expected. We thought the Anger would just be another Pain. Compared to its predecessor, the Anger is smoother thru the heads but has much more mid lane and recovery then the Pain. Testing was done on the fresh house pattern. For our tester this ball was great fun to throw. It allowed him to move farther left into the swamp of oil in the middle and throw it right and know with confidence that it would recover. And then for kicks our tester threw it on the PBA Experience Viper Pattern. This pattern is very tight when trying to cross boards but this was the only ball our tester could throw and get recovery. Now he has the right ball now he just needs to execute. Not sure how the Viper plays in other centers but
