Faball Spike HPT Bowling Ball

The Spike HPT, just as the Spike Reactive core is double tapered. Starting at the bottom and moving upward the core body opens as it gets to the center and then closes towards the top. A Flare Cap is added to the top of the upper core and gives the ball more Flare Potential. The Spike HPT cover is the next generation of Hammer Particle Technology and is derived from adjusting the particle loading ratios from the 4D-HPT and the 4D-HPT Tour balls. The Matte Red cover grabs the lane surface even when the lane oil condition is medium to heavy. This lane grabbing effect creates friction, which results in hook. Since the Spike HPT is a Particle ball it's best performance (hook and backend potential) will be on medium to heavy oil lane conditions. The heavy roll caused by the design of the Spike Core and the friction created by the particle cover do not stop when the ball hits oil. The new material formula does allow for alteration of the ball surface. The Spike HPT can be sanded or polished.

I highly recommend this ball to anyone looking to try a particle ball for their heavy oil ball. For the price I paid for this ball, I don't think you can get a better ball. You don't see many people throwing Hammer equipment anymore, and I don't understand why. Even the pro who drilled my Spike trash-talked Hammer, until he saw me throw it! If you've never tried Hammer, I suggest you do. The Spike HPT would be a good place to start if you're looking for a good "oil" ball! Remember, Nothing Hits Like A Hammer!

I originally bought the Spike HPT to battle the never ending feeling of more and more oil on the lanes. This is my choice for heavy shots. My Spike HPT is drilled 3 3/8" x 3. A balance hole resides 2" past PAP in line with the pin. While this is not quite what I expected, it's very good on oily shots, and even some medium shots with head oil. I often play swing shots (15 at the arrows, 8 at the break). When conditions do not allow that, I take the Spike HPT, move right, and play down and in, or maybe a slight swing. This is not a coast to coast hooker. It gives me a chance to get some ball reaction in the heavier stuff, and keeps me in the game. This ball carries slightly off pocket hits amazingly too. The Spike core is very strong, as is the cover. Please put the Spike HPT in the bag when the lanes are dry to begin, or burn out as the night goes on. It's too early and too strong for those conditions. The Spike HPT is yet another solid Hammer product that never caught
