I got this a year ago to compliment the rest of my Faball collection. Surfaced at 1k Abralon without polish, I find it reads the lane earlier than the Sledgehammer or my un-polished 3D-Offset Super Hook. It isn't hard to control, and I like this ball for heavier oil early in the day. This may be one of the later Faball Hammers that is often times forgotten, but I do like it quite a bit.

This ball worked great out of the box, but when you have used it a little while it stops working. I suppose this is true with any ball but this one is a little more sensitive to that. I have had a hard getting it back to the original finish. I will probably take it to my Pro shop guy and have him work on it before I decide to retire it. This ball does carry well in the right conditions. I like the amount of hook it has not too much and not too little. I have always been fond of Faball equipment.

This is my 2nd Hammer ball. I believe it is stacked drilled. I liked how it shot, but the ball didn't give me that confidence inspiring feeling I was looking for, even though I hit a 231 first game with it playing about the 12 board swinging out the the 4/5 and then snapping back. Had the ball sanded to 1000 grit and then tried again. On oil, hard to keep that same 12 to 4/5. Once a little drier, shot was there and hit a 245. When broken down, ball likes to be swung way out and comes back with a vengence. This is a ball that is hard not to like. Looks great and rolls nice. This wasn't going to be my first ball out ball, but I think it will be now that I have built up some confidence in how it will roll. <scr

This is quite simply a great ball. I can throw a down and in shot or I can open up the lane and play a swing shot. Either way this ball gets to the break point, flips hard and then keeps on trucking; "Big Ben this here's Faball's Truck and I'm about to put the Hammer down". Do yourself a favour and get your hands on one of these as they are brilliant, and yet another in the long line of great Hammer balls. They are also very versatile in that they polish up easily if you want to get more length in your shot. I hope Ebonite are up to the challenge of continuing the great bloodlines of this excellent ball company.

Well it has been a couple weeks after drilling the Truck up for a shop bowler and I would just like to say that if you like the 3D Violet, then you should pick up this ball. This ball is extremely clean through the front part of the lane, then it give you a good strong move to the pocket. It reminds me of the 3D Violet in just about every way. One thing that I did notice was that it doesn't like oil down the lane, in the factory condition. This will be a great ball on the fresh, and will give you a good read of the lanes. I drilled it 4-1/2 x 5-1/4.This set the CAM (mass bias) just left of my thumb in between an arc and strong position.I did polish over the 600 grit box finish too. This drilling usually produces a reaction which allows me to move inside a bit and open the lane up with a strong back-end.This is not the case with this ball.I would have to scuff the cover to get inside on any center oil.The ball has a very even, continuous roll to it.Doesnt seem to react to the dry as crisply as other balls.Easy to keep in play but may be tough to get it to build energy on med/heavier oil.A nice ball with a cover that is easy to tweak and could be used on a variety of conditions with the right match -up.
