As stated an excellent starter ball at a good price can be resurfaced and drilled to suite a variety of styles, lane conditions and techniques then when you improve or decide to change ball you can resurface if to make it a very competent spare ball. I used this ball for four months as my main ball when i started bowling and it allowed me to learn the basics of bowling, understanding lane conditions and the ability to change the balls surface to suite the conditions, after four months when I had settled into my routine and style I decided to change to a ball with a bit more hook potential, but my tornado was not left in the cupboard it was resurfaced and is now used as my spare ball
