This ball, even though it is not as good as the big blue pearl, is one of the better balls ive thrown in my life. this ball has reaction and drives through the pins pretty hard. the ball does leave you some room for error because i had a few light hits and it just shattered the pins. and then i had one heavy and it still carried for a strike. it did leave a few tens but what ball doesnt. this ball is the best particle ball ive thrown. ebonite still keeps kicking butt with the balls they come out with.

I find the V2 Particle to be the greatest control ball out there. And its very reasonably priced. This ball hits just as hard as any top shelf ball. Sometimes it wont react enough for some bowlers, but if you hold a strait line you can still throw it on Hevier oiled conditions. The best thing about this ball is that you will hardly leave any ten pins with it. I am personaly spoiled by it. But there is no question that this ball can fit into anyone's bowling arsenal. The funny thing is that I did not get this ball NIB. My friend Nick gave it to me. And it still performed like some of my new bowling balls. In fact my friend Nick that gave me the ball, shot a 300 with 14lb V2 particle. IT'S A GREAT BALL!!!

I haven't had it long enough to hate it or love it but for the most part right now its only a heavy oil ball. My friends think its sick cuz it is drilled for a right-hander. I can play really deep with this ball if the lanes break-down too much, yesterday i used this ball in all of my games. Also, pretty colors for this ball, the only prettier one i have is either my Icon2 or my Ti Messenger Pearl. Once again i can't think of anymore words so i'm just gonna type this last sentence because it will be past the minimum.

No matter what the condition, I alwayz reach 4 this ball 1st. Oddz are I, and most likely any bowler of my skill level or higher will be able to score consistently with this ball. The key is to focus on carrydown and make adjustments accordingly. The ball has the smoothest hook on normal length patterns since my Rock-On! in itz heyday, but with significantly more hitting power than my Rock-On!. But be warned, on short patterns, slower ball speeds will be your demise. I haven't decided 2 yet, but I'm told polishing it will eliminate some of the need for faster ball speeds. Also, pretty forgiving on pulled shotz (if your speedz up) but not az forgiving az I'd like on the wider shotz, but if you're accurate az hell, it won't be a problem. In summation, a very versatile ball that givez you more optionz than you're used 2. Just make sure you clean it!!!!

I would recomend this ball to either the beginner or the 220 average bowler. I did find that the ball tends to track a little more that others that I have. I do find that the ball being a particle will do just what it suppose to and get through the heads when the lanes break down. The cost is not as high or even close to some of the other balls on the market. The ball works good either in heavy oil as well as medium oiled lanes. The only adjustment is your feet on the approach. This ball will come back like a train when backends are permitting.

My father rolls a full roller style of shot. In the past few years every ball choice he has made has been okay as far as roll, but has just slid up the lane to the pocket. This ball actually faces up strong which leaves him a lot less corner pins. It functions best outside of 10 on medium to medium oil conditions. The coverstock of this ball is what makes it so effective for the full roller style. It will skid on heavy oil and break up early on dry, but that is to be expected. The overall carry of the ball is great, it keeps the pins down and moving.

When I first bought the ball I had my suspicions. But when I tried it out I was amazed how effective this ball is. Since I bought this ball my average went up 15. No matter what I play the ball comes back. Even if the ball comes in heavy or light it carry a lot. And when it hits the pocket it just destroys it. And I still have not reached the full potential of the Vortex 2 Particle. However I suggest that you not ues this ball on dry lanes unless you can throw this ball fast enough down the to not make it hook to early.

I own 4 vortexes(pearl, afterburner, sanded and paticle) These are absolutely the best balls I have ever owned. All drilled differently for condition purposes. My particle is drilled stacked leverage.I have never seen a ball love oil like this one.I`m yet to see a condition that will make this ball slide. It always seems to be gripping the lane in a very heavy roll.It also hits very hard, but at the sametime it keeps the pins very low.If your in the market for a heavy oil look into this V2 particle you won`t be sorry.

After a few weeks and about 60 or so games ,some conclusions are in order. The ball still hits phenominally well and carries rediculously light hits. I've finally cobbled up a "jacuzzi" for the ball to pump heated , soapy water around it and get it clean without too much effort. As time has gone on , I've gotten stronger and as a result the scores have gone steadily up. On drier lanes , the ball will roll out , but you can get it to the pocket . All in all it's made me a believer in the new technology. If the price of progress is a resurfacing after about 100-150 games so be it .

This was my fourth league night with the V2P and I am still very impressed with this ball - 234 average over twelve games!! I just bowled my all-time high triple Monday - 227-279-277=783! I struck in 24 of the last 27 frames and totaled 27 strikes on the night!! I had (2) "clean" games (without an open) Monday and (9) total out of (12) games! My strike per game average is 8.5!! Despite being an "oil ball" with an agressive reaction, I have not had split problems - less than (2) per match! This ball is very forgiving and just carries everything!! This is a great ball! Nice job, Ebonite!

This ball is amazing - I had (11) strikes in the first game - right out of the box!! Followed that with (8) strikes in the second and (9) strikes in the third game! Despite a handful of poorly thrown first balls and (5) opens, I totaled 720! (265-222-233) I left only (2) 10-pins and (1) 4-pin on the night - compared to the (31) one-pin spares I had over the past six games in league!! (I'll definitely take that any day!) This ball finishes strong every time - no matter where you throw it - inside or outside! It is also very controllable despite its ability to finish - which suprised me. It can also carry a high hit! The Vortex 2 Particle is an awesome ball for oil!!

To add to my likes... bowled a 278 my first day with it. And just a week after I got it, I bowled a 299, damn 10 pin. Just amazing how many pins go flying with this. I can guarantee my strike percentage has went up.To go my full review. I also had 20 out of 24 shots strikes the day I bowled my 299. It was a league sweeper and I only needed to bowl 2 games. Bowled a 299, left 10 pin, then a 257, 2 10 pins, and a 4 pin. Sadly, I lost to a 268, but, that's besides the point. This ball is always my starting ball out of the bag.

This ball's low RG make it very predictable and accurate. It's high flare keeps it ripping though the pocket. This ball is great if you need one to start hooking early. After only 7 weeks with this ball I've rasied my average from 189 to 206. With the V2 I'm averaging 229. In that span I've had my 2 highest series a 793 and 778, I've rolled 19 strikes in a row, set new personal high games of 280 (a ten pin in the second frame) and 298 (choke). Not bad a lifetime 195 average bowler. Look out 300 here I come.

overall this ball is very affordable and gives a great turn to the pocket. you must keep your speed up ball carries great and hits the rack hard carries the light hit extremely well. havent thrown all that much but very impressed but what i must learn is to put this ball away when shot breaks down i am still working on that i give this ball a 10 as it does what its made to do which is cut through the oil with great consistancy you will enjoy throwing this product. ebonite did good with this line keep it up

I'm coming back from a shoulder / bicep problem and spent the last 15 months "on the shelf" Started back up now in a league that shares space with a little tournament , so i needed a ball with a bit of tooth to it. On the recommedation of my driller I got this ball drilled, in the High -Rg, drilling per the chart . All I can say is YES YES YES It rolls free and arcs if I lay it next to my foot , if i need some length, adding some loft will give me that flip that is deadly on a light hit The carry with the ball is excellent , and I can reccomend it to anyone who needs a little more punch. The ball does grab a lot of oil , hell that's why I bought it . After only 25-30 games it does show a fair amount of track marks ,but that's the price of admission I suppose . All in all a really good value for money . Do note: the last Ebonite product I bought was a Magnum10 ! (1980 or so) . Glad to see them back in the mix . now we need Brunswick to start making good balls again. my 2c

I got this ball a few days ago. Its specs are 16lbs. 5inch pin. And the box matte surface. This ball has a great amount of hook. It took me at least 10 games to even start to control it. I owned a predator before this and it became so saturated with oil that I had to retire it. Ill post a follow up on this ball's status in the future. I bowl on wood lanes with a wet/dry set up. Swinging the ball from the 15 board to the outside result in a choatic backend. I dont but much lift on my ball but this really opened up the land for me. One a last note. Do not, under any case play this ball on burt lanes. forget it! It just wont do. One more thing that bothers me is that even though it only has 10 game on it, its showing a good amount of tracking.

Weight-15 Topweight-2.5 Pin2-3inches Surface-Factory Finish Drilled-Pin in the middle of the bridge and cg kicked under the ring finger. No weight hole necessary. Lane Condition #1 Oiled to 37 ft, second arrow out is slick for about five shots then it dries up just like the rest of the lane starts, middle is light oil for all the knuckle ball throwers. Lane Condition #2 Oiled to 32ft Medium/heavy though the middle, and outside is dry so a basic wall shot. miss to the left and it holds and miss to the right it flies back. Lane Condition #1 Allot of people were either throwing knuckle balls up the first and second arrow or swing the 5/6th arrow. Started out by playing up the boards but this ball was excessively aggressive for this part of lane because it dries up so quickly. I moved to third arrow swing to around 3-4 board and again the ball still flung back way to earlier so the result a couple of splits and hits through the nose. Went to the 5th arrow and t

We recently received our Striking Effect program package and I immediately grabbed this ball and drilled it. I threw it in the Sport League that I bowl in. I laid this ball out with the CG 4" and the Pin 5". I left the ball out of the box. The Sport shot I bowled on was heavy oil 12 to 12 with 12 to 7 being drier, and 6 to the gutter is a flood. I was able to move in deeper with this ball and hold the line. When I turned it up, it would still get down the lane and save its energy for a smooth midlane move to the pocket. This ball had good recovery and when it gets the pocket it explodes the pins. If you like that Vortex Line, you have to put this in your bag. If you are looking for a good midlane arcing ball that can handle medium-heavy oil, this is the ball. I have thrown every Vortex, and this coverstock is the strongest by far.
