I dosent matter what I have bowled on with this ball. I can tweek it anyway that I need it to react. If the lanes are really wet, you can sand it to get an earlier reaction. If the lanes are drier, you can polish it up, and get great results. It hits like a ton of bricks. Carries really well when you hit light. Mine is drilled 3.5 X 5. I usually play 4th to 5th arrow, going out anywhere from 15 to the 1 board. I really turn the hell out of it, and it works really well for me. I think that everyone should have one in their bag

i drill this v2sand for three ball with the different of layout i totally love this ball coz can play in all the condition except only super dry with the factory finish is ok but when i put in polish by ebonite power house ball extender polish it give a very sharp track as quick rev by the low rg and the sufface of trimax it give a beautiful speed rev hook and crash compare with the apex aggression i refer this is better for hi-speed bowler(on my mind) but if this one is too crack v2pearl is also nice but on my home lane in thailand v2sand is better coz of carry down and not so clean at the backend

I had the first vortex 2 and now the v2 particle and i dont have any complants about either of them. I really think that the vortex line is very versitle. I bowl most of my games on a synthetic house and the ball goes long and snaps hard at the end. I have not bowled to many games on the wood house that we have in town but from what i have seen the ball still finishes alright there. I am looking forward to buying more balls in the future from ebonite and hope to get one from the apex line soon.

Great ball with a slight polish/shine to it. Very versatile with room in each direction. I drilled the pin above and to the right of the ring finger with the CG at almost 10 o'clock (balanced with a weight hole). This is the first ball I have ever liked by Ebonite. Top weight-not sure Weight-15 Pin-2-3 inches Surface-factory finished but will touch it up with a light coat of polish in a while Drilled-Label shift with pin diagonal from the ring finger about on inch, and the cg at just below the middle finger. Lane Condition #1-House shot moderate oil in between the 4 board and to the 36 board with outside 3 boards being soaked to no other length of the oil is to 30ft buffed to 35ft. Lane Condition #2-Outside five are flooded, from 15 to 15 is flooded in 14-6 board very dry, guardin oil, lenth goes 25 ft (maybe. Lane Condition #1 Started off with my wrist broken down basically trying to get up the side of it and get some length and some mild backend, and boy this baby cuts the boards away, started standing on the 30 board rolling the ball over 17 board rolling out to the 5 board with an very aggressive turn on the backend which was going to be allot more backend then i wanted but I dealt with it and moved to the left and I was hitting

the vortex II has to be the most versatile ball i have ever rolled- i rolled a college tourny in dayton ohio on a sport shot -- i rolled this ball the entired tourny an avgd 204.6 - i had about 3 boards to work with - which is great on a sport shot - i ended up finishing 9th out of about 250+ great collegian bowlers with this ball... this ball carries great an on any kind of house shot will guaranteed to give u high scores. i promise u if u punch this ball up there will be no complaints about it.

I have two of these balls and they are my favorite balls by far. Every company has a ball that is mid-priced and a huge seller. This is Ebonite's ball. My two Vortex 2 are drilled one with a 5 by 5 stacked drilling and another with cg 2 inches from my axis, and the pin at a 45 degree angle to fingers. The 5 by 5 drilling gives me a ball the is very smooth and predicatable. I got to this ball when the lanes are though, or they break down and I need something for control. The 2 inches from my CG drilling is one of my best oil balls. I am able to hold the line in the heavy oil and go directly at the pocket with this ball. Both balls are great on a variety of lane conditions and I will be adding at least one more to my bag. This is Ebonite's best bang for the buck. If you are looking for a versitile ball or something that you can read the lanes with, pick up this ball.

I drilled this ball up 4 X 3 with a small hole on my PAP. This causes the ball to get in to a roll earlier, creating a more even arc. I wanted this ball for heavy oil, and I wasn't disappointed. The amazing thing is, even with the even drilling, it still carries EVERYTHING! Light, heavy, flush, it doesn't matter. On an inside angle, this ball is a machine. I threw the Vortex III first, and thought that there was no way the II could measure up, I was wrong. More hit, more hook on heavy oil, and a price tag that is very friendly, this ball could very well be the best bargain on the market.
