This is an excellent ball for any house pattern but I have not had much success on tournament patterns. I drilled it up leverage stacked with a small weight holl and my best description on how the ball reacts is an even roll. This ball has never jumped through the face, even on dry lanes. The only time this ball goes high is if I miss. On the other hand longer oil and heavy carrydown can cause this ball to skate through the breakpoint and not finish so watch the amount of oil you run into. The carry with the ball is great from inside to about 18 with a swing to up 5 and anything in between. I recommend this ball for any league bowler who is looking for a ball for medium to heavy oil patterns that isn't going to get them into trouble.<

As is any new ball, you are going to need to build a track on it. This as everyone knows takes time and games. Stick with it and it will be a great medium-heavy oil ball. I'm a 215 average bowler, here are my games in the order i rolled them (175, 170, 185 and 192), but i also hadn't picked up a ball in over 6 months. It seems like you will either love it or hate it. I don't know why others are having a problem with getting this ball to hook. Maybe it's their pro shop.

i was very excited to get this ball, read great reviews, heard good things, needed a heavy oil ball, decided to get this, and was very very very disappointed right away, no movement out of the box, only condition this ball was a little good on was very dry, i dont know what the reviewers were lookin at or thinkin about but this ball is garbage, already ordered a new heavy oil ball, and im stayin away from dyno thane equipment, anyone lookin to buy this ball, dont, there are alot better heavy oil balls out there, try anything but this piece of trash, mine is in my closet collecting dus

I was looking for a good heavy oil ball and decided to buy the Anomaly by Dyno-Thane. I drilled the ball to roll early so It would be able to handle longer oil patterns. For me the ball rolls early and has a strong arc hook in the backend. This ball can really open up the lanes for me when the oil is fresh and it's great, but once the lanes start the break down I have a lot of trouble controling this ball. The ball doesn't rev up as good as my others and needs fresh/dry lanes to get a good reaction, but this is mainly do to the way I have it drilled. I have had the ball for a few weeks but still have not had the chance to throw the ball on flooded lanes which is the main reason I bought the ball. The only thing I don't like about this ball which other people may love is that for me it gets a little to much length on fresh oil and doesn't seem to bite through the oil like some other balls I've thrown. On the other hand once this ball hits the dry stuff it reacts about stronger than any

Great ball if the shot is there. Needs oil to get down the lane but also needs dry to make its' hard turn. If lanes are heavy oil with lots of carry down, the Anomaly must go down and in. Under this type condition, the Anomaly can't go left to right and still make the turn with power. It will get there, but hit weak. Cover's a huge amount of boards - when it hits the dry it makes a left turn like a teenager moving through traffic. The only place this ball won't come back from is the gutter. But, be careful with the tight line (left to right for the right handed) in heavy oil carry down - the Anomaly will wobble, hit weak and not carry. When the shot is there - this ball explodes the pins. If there is a lot of dry area - you can send it out wide with no fear of it not coming back - and it will come back hard. When the dry is scarse you have to find it, because this ball won't turn HARD until you do. There are better balls out there that give that "flip" while still in the oi

alot of a balls charactoristic is how it is laid out, matched up with the bowler's delivery... obviously, but for me, surfaced, this ball hooks pretty well .If polished, tones it down, didn't like polished, then becomes to touchy. Set this one up 4 x 3(50deg) with balanced static's. I'll see with time if this ball continues to hook,I know some of these get 'soaked' with oil, then loose their hooking potential. I have bowled on some long, carryed down oil, and still got some kind of reaction. Never had a dyno-thane before, so far I'm impressed. Carry's the mixer shot quite well. **edit** has turned into more of a medium ball, still good on med to med long oil, as long as the back ends are fairly clean.

At first when I got this ball it didnt look very intimidating. But boy was I wrong. After about 15 games this ball is the total opposite of what I thought it wouild be. On Saturday I bowled a 221,237 and a 242 in my league on a fresh 38ft lane. This ball gives itself sick angular entries. I am so impressed that later im going to try another ball with soaker resin coverstock. IM going to use this ball in my sectional tournament this week then I will know its true potential. We drilled this ball for our ProShop Staffer, Willie Willis. Willie laid the ball out with the pin and CG on his grip line. Out of the box this ball was clean through the fronts, and then made a sweeping move to the pocket. After we polished the ball, it got more length and then made a sharper breakpoint to the pocket. When used on the challege shots, this ball was good for the control that you need. Next to the Hammer Power Diesel, the Anomaly was a couple boards strong overall. Any questions, please email me at Bill@buddiesproshop.com Thanks Bill

I am a 2nd year bowler and am only now learning the physics of the game. I can tell you this.. Playing the 25 board and throwing out over the 15 board and around 14.5 MPH, this ball hit the pocket flush, EVERY TIME!!! Obviously if i yanked it would not be a favorable outcome but if i swung it out to far, ball recoverd niceley and just hung on to find the right angle to the pocket. I will be bowling in a tourney this Sunday, heavy oil and scratch and will have more info in heavy oil on this ball. Oh, and I am a tweener so this ball really worked out well for me. Good luck and good bowling all!!!!

I found this ball to be the perfect compliment to a Dyno Thane arsenal. If you need a ball that is a step above the rest, this is the one. Throwing this ball from 14 out to 8 seemed to be the perfect line on a standard 11 to 11 block. The ball got through the heads clean, and then the magic started. I really liked how the ball reacted on the midlane. It was even, yet powerful. The transition to the backends was even better. It was extremely consistant and even. This was a ball that when you through it and hit your mark it was going to hit the pocket hard. I defintely think this is a ball that would work for just about any bowler.<sc

I want like hell to LOVE this ball, it just does not allow me to do it. In reality, this thing hooks less than the Inferno in factory condition. It hits very well though. This is the worst experience with the soaker coverstock I have had as well. It tracked up within 12 games, and tracked up much worse than any other ball I have thrown that few games on. The Soaker coverstock in this ball retained a shine, when I had the THING dulled up, it never went back to a shine from useage. In defense of this ball, I have not altered the coverstock at all yet. Eventually I am going to sand it down a little bit and see what it will do. But to this point, it is not half the ball that the Storm Fear Factor, Track Phenom and Phenom Unleashed, Brunswick Raging Inferno or the Track Mutant is.

I drilled this ball for strong arc. Stacked drilling. The Anomaly arched smoothly like my Dyno thane Element ,but much stronger with no over or under reaction. Plus it hits like a FRIEGHT TRAIN, forget like a truck. This ball is the BEST OIL BALL I EVER HAD!!!. Another thing I like is the Soaker Resin cover- stock, like on the Element. . It makes the oil disappear. If you are looking for a ball for oily lanes, GET THIS ONE!!! that's all folks, thats all folks that's all folks that all folks that's all folks that all folks that's all folks<

Like it has been said before "WOW". This ball will get up and go. You will definately need head oil with this baby. As a right handed bowler the ball will move left. I thing Dyna-Thane should include a turn signal for this ball. It will cut thru the oil. I am going to polish this ball to see how it will react with oil. If my calculations will be correct it should be hard to control on the back end. Anyone with lower ball speeds might want to stay away from this ball or drill it with a weaker pattern. I would say other than the Phenom from track this is the ball with the most hooking ability on the market today.

great hook from dynothane. this ball will not disappoint if you are looking for an oil resin ball with great backends and a ton of hit. shot 719 out of the box on what i consider a difficult shot. very predictable. drilled it 4 x 2 1/2(pin under the ring finger). when the lanes changed, it gave me ever more room right. i cant imagine dulling this beast down more. some polish might help on some drier conditions. the ball didnt quit. i retained enough energy to provide plenty of hit and carry. speaking of carry, outside of and occasional 10 pin, it didnt leave much on the deck. in summary, this is a great ball for most oil conditions. it has plenty of hit and unbelieveable carry. order yours today!!!!!!!!!

Anyone who wants a ball that pick up a strong roll at mid-lane to hook in the oil this ball is great. The ANOMALY keeps the tilt for great hitting power without deflection to carry the weak 10 on your bad shots in oil or on drier lanes. I don't like balls with surface very often, however the factory finish is great because the over/under was taken out of play, giving me a chance to use my ball speed and not worring about the(2-10,4-9) on a brutal condition. This new ball NEEDS to be in everybodys bag WOW.

Got my seed ball from Dyno-Thane today and drilled it 4 X 3 1/2, pin under ring and cg under midline out about an 1 inch, weight hole on PAP. All I can say is WOW. I never thought I could hook the ball this much. I am a pretty straight player who goes up the boards, not with this ball in my hands. I bowled on a fresh house shot that I bowl on everyday and I was 10 left of where I usually stand. I was totally amazed. The great thing about it was that it gave decent length and than Made a strong move at the midlane and than just kept hooking. No quit in this ball. You must keep this ball in the oil/oil line or it will hook a little early, but the ball wasn't made for dry lanes. If you have any trace of oil than this ball will absolutely destroy the pins. It HITS like a mack truck. I have the whole Dyno-Thane arsenal and this one takes the prize as far as I am concerned, UNBELIVABLE BALL.<s
